I'm shattered this morning. Could have carried on sleeping. Now staring at my pc at work hoping it will connect to the drive... 2nd restart and still nothing! I wonder if it could be a reason to go home Grin

LaLaLaaaa · 02/02/2015 07:40

Hi all - those of you worrying about pains have you heard about round ligament pain, happens around 16 weeks plus and feels very much like period pain/stitch. I've had it off and on for last 2 weeks, nothing to worry about.

GotToBeInItToWinIt · 02/02/2015 08:07

Had a restless husband last night who kept trying to cuddle me in his sleep... Bleugh. Woke me up about every half an hour. Also got a spot on my face that looks like a second head so I'm grumpy!

Aretepetite · 02/02/2015 08:45

Woke up to Antarctica - boiler is broken.

Thepurplegiraffe · 02/02/2015 09:06

Sorry to hear you are still being sick Arete, and now your heating as well. Hope it's easy to sort out.

I have stopped being sick now (though ms is around as ever) but I can still barely eat or move without feeling exhausted/in pain. I have called in sick today so have the day to recover. I lost a kilo in a day so am now 4 kilos down on pre pregnancy weight and really feeling run down now.

BadIdeaBear · 02/02/2015 10:05

I had the restless husband syndrome last night, too, gottobe - I was knackered on going to bed and not much better getting up.

And then when I got up I wished I hadn't. TMI but I'm a bit worried as I ended up getting hot and cold sweats in the bathroom. Think it's trapped wind with a lot of pain, but it made me dizzy and come over all feverish. Feel a bit better now but think there's still some trapped and therefore nervous about future trips to the loo...
I'm still getting panicky it's baby related. Wish digestive system wasn't in the same area as uterus in the body...

broodylicious · 02/02/2015 10:08

Morning all. How was everyone's weekend? Not had chance to catch up as we've been away on the south coast and now on the way to whipsnade zoo for the day in minus one and with the bloody frozen song on constantly. Had awesome sleep last night - thank you premier inn!! Will catch up on everything later. Have a lovely Monday folks xxx

JoY007 · 02/02/2015 10:36

Morning Ladies Smile hope everyone is feeling better today.

Not a good start for me, the round ligament pain stopped my spin exercise this morning, after I had to climb 5 flights of stairs to get to the spin studio, arggh! Struggled to adjust my bike as I was out of breath and in pain so I gave it a miss. Took me double the time to walk to the office, then had to have a cold shower, because the hot water system broke down, nice one.

Lovely way to the start the week, who else is having the RL pain? I am with you Sophie I had cramp like pains as well, then the pain runs down from hip to my quads. Uncomfortable!

Wonderful joys of motherhood whoop whoop! Now at my desk, having hot water, lemon and honey Grin

Number3cometome · 02/02/2015 11:08

Consultant appointment was good!
I'm booked for scans at 20, 24, 28, 32 and 36 weeks. Anaesthetist in March, glucose test in April and consultant at 24 and 30 weeks. I will have a csection between 38/39 weeks. He was really nice, we also listened to baby's heartbeat and I had two other people in listening to my interesting medical history!! Feeling much more at ease now, especially about the lack of movement as baby appears to be hiding right behind my belly button.

GotToBeInItToWinIt · 02/02/2015 11:12

Trapped wind does that to me too BadIdea and is has definitely been worse in pregnancy!

BadIdeaBear · 02/02/2015 12:11

That's good to hear gototbe - it's really disturbing, isn't it, apart from being f*ing painful?! (although I'm now more bemused by the fact my previous post seems to have disappeared...)

I went into work and sat in a training session for an hour and have decided to come home and rest.

I've had some of the RL pains too joy - they only started on Saturday. Could do without!

BadIdeaBear · 02/02/2015 12:17

Oh that's very weird - this thread shrank to 16 pages for me for a while there - it's back to 20 now... today is proving a very odd one for me so far!

ohlordyplordy · 02/02/2015 12:23

i felt the same as that a few weeks ago bad when I couldn't ahem 'go'.
I was lay on the bathroom floor in agony, clutching a hotwater bottle to my belly and OH had a cold flannel on my head. I felt so sick and dizzy - awful experience.

Naturegirl82 · 02/02/2015 12:24

Bad that has been happening to me on a number of threads today. I'm guessing there is a problem with the site.

Feeling pretty awful today. Cold seems to be back again, only now my nose and eyes are streaming. Feels like hayfever but very unlikely at this time of year! Literally have tears running down my face whilst I'm trying to work Sad. Also seems that my nosebleeds have started again. First one this morning. Hoping they don't happen too regularly again.

Naturegirl82 · 02/02/2015 14:08

Really starting to struggle now. Only have 2 hours of work left so hoping to make it through that, but going to have to see how I feel tomorrow. Glands are hurting as well now.

I've also got really bad pains in my tummy. It's making me feel quite ill.

Sorry for the moaning.

StoneBaby · 02/02/2015 14:27

Oh Nature. Can you finish early? Or wfh tomorrow? If your glands start to hurt, a visit to your gp may be beneficial tho. Take care

Naturegirl82 · 02/02/2015 14:33

stone my glands always hurt when I start to get run down and ill. Always have done since I had glandular fever Sad.

I'm going to make sure I take work home with me tonight and see how I feel in the morning. May let my boss know and work from home, but equally I may take the day off sick and just sleep.

naty1 · 02/02/2015 15:02

Nature i also had swollen glands after GF, it lasted maybe 3 yrs, where i also seemed to catch everything going.

Naturegirl82 · 02/02/2015 15:06

Naty it sucks. Mine has been going on for 16 years now! Never used to have a problem with them, but now if I get even the slightest bit run down then they swell up and hurt. I still suffer from tiredness from it as well though.

jmojo · 02/02/2015 15:14

nature my glands do the same almost 20 yrs after glandular fever at uni! So sympathy from me!!

luckythirteen · 02/02/2015 15:48

NatureGirl sorry to hear you're not feeling well. Hope you can get to doctors if you need. Feel better soon. Flowers

Little update from me! We had a lovely private scan with BabyBond on Saturday (decided to as a wedding anniversary gift to ourselves!!), and now that we have told friends and family I'm happy to share that we are having... two little boys!! So excited! The scan was a lovely experience, would recommend it. Now must update stats!

Jenbird5891 · 02/02/2015 16:23

Hi everyone. Just had mw appt and got to hear the twins' heartbeats. She said they were moving around in there which is reassuring as not sure I've felt anything yet. DH was at home today anyway so came along with me exit was nice cos he will be away the week of anomaly scan! Bump seems to have grown overnight! I can emphasise with the trapped wind and funny pains it's most uncomfortable. The dream genii pillow arrived today so hoping that will help with side sleeping. That's lovely Luckythirteen. Can't wait to find out our twin combo hehe. Xx

BadIdeaBear · 02/02/2015 18:40

Glad that your DH got to hear heartbeats, jen - much easier than trying to record moving babies! Glad I'm not alone in the trapped wind agony.

I look forward to hearing what you think of the dream genii. I'm interested in it but need to know if it's worth the investment!

ohlordyplordy · 02/02/2015 18:45

Nipped into meadowhall mamas and papas on my way home from work and nearly wet my pants with excitement when I saw an ergo bundle of joy - but it wasn't reduced :( sob.
I didn't end up getting anything, as there wasn't really any neutral stuff.
But got home to find my changing bag has arrived - I've gone for the good ordering handlebar bag, which has good reviewed on mumsnet, and which my OH won't feel awkward carrying, as it's a like a satchel/ messenger bag style. It's quite dinky, but the reviews say you can fit all of the essentials in. Found it at a really good price at evans cycles.
