OMG!!!!!

Get a FRER and a CB digital IMMEDIATELY!

sarkymare · 30/01/2015 09:34

eeeek! Can't get a CB digi as DP has taken the bank card to work so I only have some change. Running out to get some more tests as soon as I've got DS dressed. And myself of course! I can't be strolling around in my PJs

ohlordyplordy · 30/01/2015 09:51

eek sarky :)

NotPennysBoat · 30/01/2015 10:52

That looks like a line to me Sarky!! Congratulations!

Lewaney3 · 30/01/2015 11:12

Thanks for the kind words and congrats! I'm the same lala can't wait to feel some movement but I'm not too sure what I'm even looking for!

sarky that was pretty much what my line looked like! Congratulations!!! Very happy for you :)

sarkymare · 30/01/2015 11:26

Got some more tests. I will wait until tomorrow to use them FMU. EEEEEK!

I can't see how it could be anything other than a positive. The line showed up within 3-4 minutes. I've never ever had an Evap line with these tests.

The test has dried now so the patchy dye has gone but the line remains!

Thepurplegiraffe · 30/01/2015 12:52

Congratulations Sarky, fantastic news!

Aretepetite · 30/01/2015 12:59

I think its a line :) eek ! xx

sarkymare · 30/01/2015 13:00

Stick baby stick!!!

Aretepetite · 30/01/2015 13:43

Fx for a sticky one Sarky x

Glad to hear all is ok Butler

Sickness has been back here for the past few days along with heartburn, flatulence Blush extreme bloat, stretchy pains and weird dreams amongst others Hmm the joys. My DH thinks my skin is looking great though :)

I feel that my diet is ok ! I will look and adjust where/if appropriate.

I've booked my NCT classes and located a sling library nearby which I am going to attend. Also booked yoga bellies (had to change start date) which I am looking forward to :) There are a couple of dvds i'm thinking of ordering, Erin O'Brien prenatal pilates and Davina McCalls pregnancy workout. Any information on these ladies ?

On other news i'm loving a tuna sub at the moment :) flippin devastated that i'm limited to how much tuna I can eat :( first world problems and all that Confused It looks like the tins I bought will last me a month as opposed to a week unless DS1 helps me get through them which is the more likely outcome. They're so sweet .....

Its Friday - Woohoo Grin have a great weekend ladies x

broodylicious · 30/01/2015 13:57

Eek sarky!!!! Fx this one sticks for you, lovely xx

Congrats on the twin boys!! Are they the first blue team members?

I'm knackered. Need sleep.

Aretepetite · 30/01/2015 14:12

Hello Blue and welcome back.

I too will have an 18 year age gap between my oldest and newborn and agree that it does feel like starting over again !
My DCs are 18, 16 & 8 (9 next week). Its like having another shot at it almost. I did worry in the beginning about their relationships, esp between oldest and newborn, my fears have gone. My DCs are all very close and are looking forward to new sibling arriving. My oldest is starting uni in September and will live at home. I think this has helped me by knowing they will all be under my roof for a good few years at least. The older ones have had our full attention without having to share and now they are more independent the new baby will get loads/full attention too iykwim ! Its a win/win situation Our plans will have to be put on hold for a bit but hey ho

It's a bit garbled. ^^Babybrain already Grin Enjoy it Flowers

Number3cometome · 30/01/2015 14:38

My oldest is 12 (tomorrow!) my youngest will be 8 by the time DC3 arrives.
Lots have changed, I certainly feel older, and sicker, but I am really looking forward to it!

twinky12 · 30/01/2015 14:47

sarky i see a line! Hope its a sticky 1 for u.

Got my ds screening results.low risk 1 in 6100. I'll be 32 when baby is born, is that ok odds.

Number3cometome · 30/01/2015 14:53

Twinky mine was 1/7450, i'm 33, so sounds right to me!

TTCMrsF · 30/01/2015 15:02

BIG CONGRATS sarky! Fx for you.

Hi bluetulips!

Lewaney3 congrats on the twin boys! We had our nursery furniture delivered last week. It's East Coast langham bought the three pieces as a set, opened all packages to check all ok and it's solid wood (oak) and so heavy. Amazingly nice and will last years. Not cheap (but asda reductions at mo, mothercare price matched and order via cashback site!) So I would defo recommend East Coast stuff then.

Wow number3 that's some X-ray picture there, really hope you're not in too much pain and your back keeps well (as well as can be) for the rest of your pregnancy. Flowers

Zampa · 30/01/2015 15:45

Hi all! Welcome to the newcomers and congrats Sarky. Wishing you all the best.

I noticed last night that Tesco has a good offer on Pampers newborn nappies. 2 packs of 74 for £15, which is the cheapest I have seen them so far (even better than Amazon's subscribe and save). Seems a bit early to be buying such things but "every little helps".

TTC Child benefit is affected if you or your partner earns over £50K. If you are both on £48K, then you can claim but if one of you is earing over £50K and the other not earning at all, then you can't claim (or you can but it affects the earner's tax bracket).

I concur with the honey and lemon cure for colds with a couple of paracetamol. I added 15 ml of brandy to mine and it worked a treat.

GotToBeInItToWinIt · 30/01/2015 16:12

Congratulations Sarky!

Just had a call from the midwife and apparently my Downs Risk (from the quad test) is less than 1 in 10,000 so I'm happy Smile

Number3cometome · 30/01/2015 16:14

I earn over £50k, my partner earns £25k

Apparently I will have £230 to pay in tax charges?

I'm not sure how this works but suppose I had better find out.

Zampa · 30/01/2015 16:18

Just been doing some more reading about child benefit ... apologies to those of you who are already on the ball with this ... I had no idea ...

  • If you or your partner or both earn under £50K you are entitled to 100% child benefit
  • If you or your partner earn between £50K and £60K then you are entitled to a graded percentage of child benefit, so it's worth claiming but you have to fill in a self-assessment form
  • If you or your partner earn over £60K then you pay back all of the benefit in increased tax

All kinds of things are deductible (pension contributions/Gift Aid contributions etc.).

And it you or your partner do earn over the amounts above, you are advised to still register as otherwise you can miss out on National Insurance contributions and even when your child gets their own NI number!

This pregnancy thing is getting very complicated ...

TTCMrsF · 30/01/2015 16:19

Thanks zampa, I've bought lots early (shopaholic!) but no clothes yet or nappies. But yes that does seem a good buy, plus think I have a fair few club card vouchers, tempting....

Child benefit then - do they class your mat pay as your income once baby born (I think that may be obv question but who knows with this government!) as I'll only be getting Smp. So def be below the 50k! Or do they do it on what you normally earn?!? Which I think would be a bit unfair as that's not you're getting when you've got baby. We missed out on the occ mat pay bit by like 2 weeks, so my salary is dropping by 80% (v scary) and I'm hoping for 'every little helps' inc child benefit. Fingers crossed.

MrsFbabyNo1 · 30/01/2015 17:01

I've just name changed, seen as I'm
Not actually TTC anymore thought it was time lol. Can't update name on stats from phone - do I have to be on a pc to do it?

I just looked at cb on gov.uk and think it goes on your earnings for any given tax year. So you'd then have to work out where you mat leave starts in that tax yr and add up real job earnings before and mat leave income into a total. Complicated! But I'm sure I'd then get it... Maybe. Hubby works in private sector and gets a bonus of unknown amount based on company and his performance but still think be just under the 50k threshold. Phew.
