Yay Brixton - that's great news.

Squatting -I love your flow chart idea. DH is great but would be very handy for all those moments!!!

BrixtonBunny · 30/01/2015 15:49

Haha thanks ladies! It's all looking set for next Friday - so relieved! Hoping baby stays put for a good long while so we can actually do it up first Shock

TinyTear · 30/01/2015 15:50

mamas & papas are having the last days of the sale...

ordered 3 sleepsuits, a toy and a blankie for newbie as I got pangs of guilt for most things being second hand from the big sister... most were half price...

cinnamongreyhound · 30/01/2015 16:01

Brixton congratulations that's wonderful news!

Squatting - I feel like I say this a lot on this thread in relation to naughty DH/ DP behaviour but I just wouldn't put up with it. Personally I don't believe in your money/ my money when you're married or in a relationship with kids. I'm my interested in fancy shoes or handbags or anything like that so I feel I do my bit. I would defo be insisting on the money going into the 'oh shit' fund. Hope you make some progress on this one Brew

Watching Frozen with DD. Turning into a regular Friday afternoon treat.

BrixtonBunny · 30/01/2015 16:36

Thank you all.

Squatting I must say I agree with smogs - I'd be putting my foot down! Either you both get extravagant purchases (and the time to enjoy them) or no one does. Hope he makes the right decision xx

FiRaffe · 30/01/2015 16:48

Smogs - do you think Frozen is ad good as the Disney classics?

I've seen it once, but can't say I was rushing back to watch again and I love kids films (Well a lot of them)

TheBooMonster · 30/01/2015 16:48

squatting pherhaps present him with a comprehensive list of the stuff that's still needed for bump, complete with prices, that way he has no way of escaping the fact that there are more important things to spend the money on than a midlife crisis? Maybe even with a pushy, "So as we're shifting that bike what shall we get ordered for bump?"

smogsville · 30/01/2015 16:53

FiRaffe - not as good as the little mermaid or Aladdin (Arabian niiiiiiights!) or b and the beast but I do enjoy it. Or maybe it's just the novelty of finally having a DVD machine. And the chance to sit down for an hour or so...

Boo your suggestion of a list of essentials is v sensible.

EbwyIsUpTheDuff · 30/01/2015 17:06

congrats, Brixton!

londonlivvy · 30/01/2015 17:52

squatting for what it's worth, it is not remotely scientifically proven that cycling causes impotence. My DH does 500km a week and has zero issues. Do you not think we would have heard before if cycling professionals had issues? Jens Voight is a very famous cyclist who's just retired aged 40ish and he has 6 kids I think? Getting the right saddle is important, as if you're regularly getting numbness in the region then that's bad, clearly, but there are plenty of saddles to suit all arses.

which is not to say your DH shouldn't sell his bike if he wants to, just that the Top Gear quote wasn't accurate or helpful.

(bit of a cycling family here... sorry...we have 8 bikes between us. )

if he does sell it, then I agree with others that putting it into an unreliable car that'll cost more money doesn't seem like a good idea.

Siarie i get that heartbeating too fast feeling dodgy too and am a fellow hypothyroider but i related it to my blood pressure. Agree with keeping hydrated and i find it passes.
Im fuming with toys r us today. Left my cot leaning against my front door. In the wet weather. Thank god my husband popped home at lunch which he never does or i wouldnt have been able to get through the door as he struggled to lift it. Anyone could have taken it
Going to the lion king at the theatre woohoo. Grin

AnniaFausta · 30/01/2015 18:29

Congratulations, Brixton!!

PenguinPoser · 30/01/2015 18:37

Yey for the exchange Brixton!
Squatting agree as well baby things should definitely take priority! And heyitsholly enjoy the Lion King I've seen it twice and it's so good! And I would also be Angry at the cot being left outside!

Anyone else getting swollen feet/hands? My shoes barely fit today had to sit with them off at work and struggled to get them back on when I was getting up. Rings also v tight! Checked my BP and dipped my urine at work so I know it's not pre eclampsia or anything like that just annoying I don't want to have to look for new shoes for the sake of 4 weeks at work!

TheBooMonster · 30/01/2015 18:48

Hmm awaiting transport then off to hospital for reduced movement. Anyone know what to expect? Other than for the baby to start having a field day as soon as I get to delivery suite and have me look like a hyperchondriac?

Lauren82000 · 30/01/2015 18:49

Squatting me and DD are watching lion king now. Smile Just up to the stampede bit. Sad Going to have to leave the room in a min so I don't cry over dead daddy.
