Yay youcant for boy thriving. Although house buying sounds hideously scary (we did too, last year, after the marriage and baby, it's okay actually).

Waves at all the others. I am still here merely as a CRESH head firmly in the sand about blob with a heart beat

YouCant · 05/10/2015 10:19

Omg Drizz! Hello and omg!

lovesLemonDrizzleCake · 05/10/2015 12:06

We had some spares in the freezer

Do tell us more about you and your little man though. How is he changing? What made you smile today?

NigelLikesSalad · 05/10/2015 14:29

Ah good work!

Little fella now doing new things every day, sitting up well, work out how to play with his toys rather than just chew them. Still loves nose rubs but rather than just smile he now giggles, a real devilish little giggle too, particularly at the dog who is just as in love with him. Starting weaning this weekend - Sunday lunch time- so I'm sure the dog is going to become firm friends with him once he learns that food will be forthcoming from the high chair! We are doing really well as a little unit too, I've just loved every second and even when I'm knackered or a bit overwhelmed with it all MATV just takes over. So lovely finally seeing him being a dad, he absolutely loves it. We've sort of got a routine going nicely and it works. Just starting to think about moving him into his own room but still unsure as yet. We were thinking probably after Christmas. It's so nice waking up in the morning to big blue eyes and a smiley face because I'll be honest, MATV is a right grumpy fucker first thing so ill never get that off him :D

NigelLikesSalad · 05/10/2015 14:43

oh that's me by the way. I've been playing with name changes. I'm not sure I like this one but I can't get used to YouCant. I need something from the olden days!

badb · 07/10/2015 08:53

Hi hags. How have you all been? Glad to hear the boy is doing well, youcant/Nigel, sounds lovely.

I'm doing ok - 25+something at the moment (I should really know that), and getting bigger by the day, it seems. Started pram shopping - gah! What a pain. It's easier buying a new car (which I am also doing, at the moment). I was in the A&E yesterday for 5 hours. I got a really crazy pain just below my ribs, so much that I couldn't really breathe deeply or even stand up straight. If I pressed on it, it was agony. Midwife line advised me to go in. Guess what it was? Badblet's head, pressing on me. Seriously. I was mortified - I'd say they were thinking "this one can't even handle the baby moving, what's she going to be like during labour?". Well, at least I know what it is. She is stubbornly still breech - I know that doesn't mean anything really at this stage, but she's been that way at every scan, and I'm a bit worried that the burrowing is a sign she's getting comfy in that position. Scan on Monday, so that'll be nice.

How's everyone else doing? Fizz? Fab? Getting close now! Lemondriz I know you aren't quite ready to post yet (I didn't really start till around 13 weeks), but we are here if you need us!

FizzyFeet · 07/10/2015 21:19

Gah! Just wrote a message and the internet ate it.

nigel so lovely to hear about your wee boy!

bad sorry you were in pain but your story did make me chuckle! Hope badblet doesn't continue to be such a pain in the ribs. I had an anxious day yesterday when I couldn't feel minifizz all day. Some googling and a glass of cold fruit juice and all was fine.

I have my GP check up on Monday. It's a male GP, with a male student observing. I'm ok with physical stuff after so much ivf (I'll get my fanjo out at the drop of a hat these days) but am not sure about opening up about my birth ishoos in front of two relative strangers. I guess I could always talk to my midwife separately. Still a month to go before my appointment at the Dissuade You From An Elective Section clinic. After some initial reading I have panicked and stuck my head back in the sand! Time to grow some ESH balls methinks.

Fabuluce · 10/10/2015 07:38

Morning Hags!
Nige I love the name change Smile and it's good to hear all is going well with your little man - he sounds scrumptious!

Bad i really wouldn't worry at this stage about breech but do speak to your woo needles lady if you have one (or get one) as they are excellent at turning babies.

Fizz, come now, have you looked at hypnobirthing yet?? Seriously they do wonders at making you feel calm about the whole shiz. But failing that is there any kind of talking therapy you can get to help you with this? I really would advise it as the more stressed you are the more likely it is that birth will be stressful. When you're stressed your tummy clenches, contracts and wants to hold everything in. The opposite of what you want to happen. So don't delay Hag - go and do some talking but not necessarily with a couple of bloody docs who are never going to really understand!

As for me? Well today I am officially cooked! 37 weeks and still haven't packed my bags yet (yes I need to de-sand my head too!!). Induction booked for 28th Oct when I will be 39+4 which was as near to my EDD as my consultants would let me go. I'd rather the baby came out when it was good and ready though so from here on in I'm doing natural forms of induction in the hope of having to avoid artificial induction. Baby's head is 2/5 engaged though and I'm starting to get period pains and back ache which are all good signs apparently. Must pack bags this weekend!! Also finally picking up my new baby friendly car today and saying goodbye to my wonderful sporty number. Truly the end of an era.

badb · 13/10/2015 11:42

Hey hags. Exciting, fab! Only 14 more days! Hope the new car isn't too much of a let down after your lovely sporty number. I've to do the same, though mine isn't sporty or anything - just too small. I love it though, and I've had it for years and it's all paid off and I'm not looking forward to replacing it.

26 week check yesterday, and badblet is still Frank breech. Sigh. She is a right little wriggler though, so hoping she'll move into the right position at some stage. Head still firmly in the ribs. I scared myself googling Frank breech births last night - no more Google for me.

How are the rest of you doing?

Fabuluce · 15/10/2015 08:26

Tick tock, tick tock.....stretch and sweep with the midwife today. Joy. A good opportunity to practice my hypnobirthing techniques though. Ohmmm! I think things are moving on though as my night time wee regime has picked up again with Fablet's head pressing against my bladder and low nagging period pains creeping in.

The car is lush! I can get in and out with ease (I can't even begin to tell you how happy this makes me) and I also have a stereo that works again which is also awesome - it's bloody hard work driving without sounds or using your phone as a substitute.

Have you researched woo needles yet about moving Badblet? It will probably be fine and she'll wiggle round of her own accord but it's a good idea to have that in your back pocket so to speak.

Fizz, Drizz: how are you both doing?

Good to see you bugs and happy birthday buglet!

fab your new car sounds great. I drove a hire car today and struggled to get in and out, and I've still only got a small bump! You probably know this tip already, but a nurse gave it to me after one of my ops - sit on a plastic bag and then you'll be able to swivel round more easily. Unless you've got swanky leather seats and you can swivel all you like Grin

Nothing much to report here. 25 week check passed without incident though was warned to keep an eye on my shortness of breath. Blood test in a week or so to see if I'm anaemic, which could be contributing. Must eat more greens! I've been concentrating so much on vit c, and sulking about not having rare steak or burgers, so have taken my eye off the iron ball odd metaphor but you know what I mean.

Fabuluce · 15/10/2015 22:22

Load up the new app Bugs - this much easier! Still can't see what previous people have posted though which is still bloody annoying! Can't believe Buglet is 1 already - that just seems crazy! Happy birthday to her xx

Fizz I'm very pleased to say that the new car does have leather seats so the swivel isn't too much of a challenge. It was harder in the old car as they were super low down and also bucket seats so a but of a bloody nightmare to get out of if I'm honest!

Fablet is progressing nicely and s&s is booked in for next Thursday. Amazingly we have also finally managed after months of negotiation and roping and fro-ing, to get my
Mum moved to sheltered accommodation here in Oxfordshire from Yorkshire. Her furniture should arrive next weekend and she will arrive the filleting weekend just in time to greet the newly born Fablet- how's that for timing??

Fabuluce · 15/10/2015 22:23

And Fizz - definite keep eating those greens - they do wonders for you!

badb · 17/10/2015 13:36

Hey hags. I slept from midnight last night till noon today. I feel so lazy! Guess I needed it, though. Glad to hear all is going well, fizz. Greens are the best source of iron - better than red meat afaik. But I totally hear you on the rare steak craving. I've insisted that Mr Badb takes me to a steak place for our first post-badblet dinner. fab, s&s already...exciting! Keep us posted, hag.

Badblet is definitely still breech, as I can feel her head just below my ribs. It's mad being able to feel body past parts! I do have a woo lady lined up, but consultant says around 34 weeks is when to do that if she is still wrong side up. Consultant is very amenable to woo, which is interesting.

Nothing else to report. Bought a pram, actually. Nearly cried handing over deposit, thinking of the lovely shoes I could have bought with the money. Babies sure do change things!

Fabuluce · 19/10/2015 13:04

Ow ow ow ow ow ow ow. My hip (back and side) is soooo sore Sad

badb · 20/10/2015 14:01

You poor thing, fab, any better today? Only 2 more days till s&s! How are you feeling?

I'm feeling very tired. How are the rest of you hags?

Fabuluce · 20/10/2015 15:41

No not really although I haven't cried today which is a bonus. Yesterday it was murder getting around the supermarket and by the time I got to my woo needles lady I walked through the door and burst into tears Sad

Today I have been mostly in bed asleep - walking and sitting seems to exacerbate the pain but thankfully I've managed to get an emergency appointment with our wonderful woo back man so I'm hoping he can sort me out - it's bound to be some sort of pelvic girdle pain and all to do with the baby wiggling into position this moving my pelvis out of alignment so he should, in theory, be able to sort me out. Fingers crossed (but not legs for obvs reasons). Soooo tired today though. Feel as if I could sleep for England.

FizzyFeet · 21/10/2015 08:12

Ouch! fab that sounds horrid. Hopefully your woo people will help you out. Here's a cunt cushion to put between your knees. I imagine that's on the same level of annoying as people suggesting ginger biscuits for raging morning sickness.

Doing ok here. I've upped my iron intake and am feeling better - less breathless, which is good, though still quite tired. Work is super busy and we are trying to cram lots of social things in too, plus have started to wake up at exactly 4.20am. My bump is a bit more noticeable now, but hidden under a big coat means I never get offered a seat on the bus... I'm still in quite a few regular clothes which has the effect of making me look like I've had a large meal instead of carrying a 6.5month baby. Ho hum. At least I should be able to wear them after the baby is here!

bear, drizz, nige how are you hags?

Fabuluce · 22/10/2015 06:00

Get yer Baby On Board badge on Fizz - it's about time!! How are you not showing much though? There's no hiding my bump! I was worried at 30 weeks that there was hardly anything there at all then by 24 boom! Big belly arrived. It's all up front for me though and, as yet, no sign of a stretch mark....but I have 6 days left so there's still time Confused

None of my woo helped. Bastards. Super lovely reflexology yesterday morning which hopefully help with getting the baby in the right position but nothing is helping my gammy hip. I'm such a cripple it's pathetic.

Fabuluce · 22/10/2015 06:49

Tsk worried at 20 not 30 weeks!!

lovesLemonDrizzleCake · 22/10/2015 14:24

Good luck fab. Not long now. Sorry about the radio silence, got struck down with the lurgy surprisingly badly thanks DS. But all well here :)

Fabuluce · 22/10/2015 20:04

Ooh thanks for the cushion there - gratefully received. I have crutches now which is making movement outside significantly easier.

Driz how many weeks are you now?
