Some lovely names here and Theo is on our boy short list too :) We are struggling with choosing girl names though. Don't know if trying to find something that goes with the other two is making it harder but I seem to have a lot more "rules" this time than when we named DD and DS.

Have had to put the baby name ideas aside for now as I'm only five weeks away from my finals! Do the first half this year and the second half next February. So nervous thinking that I'll be a doctor soon, and finding it even more difficult than usual to concentrate, especially as baby is moving more and more and I just want to enjoy being pregnant, not read about medicine. :P

Wow Tits ...ten weeks doesn't sound far away at all!

Blondie87 · 18/01/2015 16:20

That is a lovely name Leanne. We have narrowed it down to Arthur or Edward (love Ted or Eddie as a NN). I like traditional, old fashioned names but as a teacher there are lots of names that bring associations with them so it's been quite tricky!

leanne963 · 18/01/2015 16:23

Aww thank you Blondie My SIL is a teacher and is also pregnant and she is like 'I can't have that name cause that is the name of the naughty boy in my class' so i completely understand the association part! Edward is a lovely name! :D

BeanCalledPickle · 18/01/2015 17:53

Ha, if her surname was Parratt I can absolutely guarantee Polly would not be called Polly!!

KittyVonCatsington · 18/01/2015 19:30

May is a good middle name for someone born in May apple! Wink

There are just too many beautiful names to choose from, oh the pressure! Grin

SmileyScooby · 18/01/2015 19:45

Wow been a busy weekend on here! So just catching up...

chook great scan pic!!

mum and bazza good luck with the driving :)

leanne that must have been scary. Re names Imogen was one I had picked for a girl with my gran's name as Middle (Megan) but we are expecting a boy so back to drawing board but have a few ideas :)

kittiker great news re your results

dotty I've had blood when blowing nose - normally in the morning but a few weeks ago was pretty much all day.

bradders hope biopsy results are ok. I've noticed this week a new mole like pigment on my face that wasn't there before - not typical round dot either. Does pregnancy cause new ones to appear? I'm also like a dot to dot all over!

mslad my back also aching at times normally when been on feet all day but especially today when been sat marking most of the day!!

ellstor I also am feeling them around my belly button area

Kitty Kitlet could be called Katherine (you can then shorten to Kitty hehe - girl at school is called Katherine officially but preferred name is Kitty)

My name shortlist at the moment includes Joshua, Jacob, Charles (Charlie), Alfred (Alfie), Thomas, Oliver, Jason, Edward, William, Luke, Alexander and Issac.
I've always liked Joseph, James and Jonathon (but too many Joe's and John's and James' in the family!! Good friends have got an Ethan and Finley so those two are out but love them! Luckily my school is all girls so haven't got any links to naughty children, just avoiding names we didn't like at school/associate with others.

Movement wise - I've had it really varied some days lots of little movements in one go (dunno if that is hiccups or something), some days larger movements and can see belly wibble!! So I haven't got a clue at the moment!! Still haven't been able to time it right for DH to feel as typically that is when bump decides to stop!!

It's scary to think that I've only got 10 school weeks left at work (11 if count half term), we haven't bought anything yet (apart from a bigger family car as we both have small cars, so now one larger and one smaller). Think February half term will be a sorting out/buying holiday - as well as marking coursework!! So much to do at home and work and not enough hours in the day....wish I had a watch to stop time so could get stuff done!

Sunshinesaz86 · 18/01/2015 19:46

Loving everyone's names. Love ted/Edward blondie.

DP an I still love Lucas for a boy and we're leaning towards Jessica/Jess/Jessy for a girl! We also like Gracie.

tits have I missed something how come you'll have bubs so soon?

Lots of respect for u ginger doing your finals, good luck with everything.

Threesoundslikealot · 18/01/2015 19:53

Smiley, pregnancy is very giving! It can cause you both to develop skin tags, and cause a condition called chloasma, otherwise known as the mask of pregnancy. Details here, but it sounds this might be what you've got.

shinyhappyone · 18/01/2015 19:54

Love the names chat. We were sorted for a girl: Evelyn Rose was a done job for us but we're having a boy! Have really struggled but narrowed it down to Oliver, owen, Jacob or Elliot. I literally change my mind daily on which one is my favourite. It's such a minefield. Nice to be able to say on here though as we're not telling anyone in case of a dodgy reaction! xx

Blondie87 · 18/01/2015 20:02

I know what you mean shiny, we're not discussing our name choices with our friends and family because we found out the sex and want to keep so something a surprise. Plus I don't want to be talked out of our choices.

KittyVonCatsington · 18/01/2015 20:03

Smiley -don't think you can go wrong with any of those names on your short list! If we were having a Boy, we had already decided on Stephan David for a name-mightily frustrated with girls names! Katherine is the name of my gorgeous niece but I love the link with cats I must say!

So not looking forward to coursework marking and being heavily pregnant either - counting down the days!! 11 weeks of term left for me, not inc. half term and Easter-eek!!

KittyVonCatsington · 18/01/2015 20:12

Same for you Shiny-lovely boys names-I understand how hard it is to pick one!

Titsalinabumsquash · 18/01/2015 20:18

I'm being induced at 35 weeks sunshine so I've only got 19 weeks left, I got comfy here with you guys (my edd is 4th may) so I decided to stick around regardless of now having my baby in April (14th)

Luna is my favourite name ever, it doesn't work with our surname though Sad

DP cannot seem to make sensible suggestions at all, his one proper name he's suggested today is Katherine, but there are several in Kathy/Kate/Katie/Kath variants in both our families already.

That should have said 10 weeks not 19 Confused

Sunshinesaz86 · 18/01/2015 20:33

Ahh I see tits I'm sure you've probably said this already earlier on in threads but I forget at times! Ooh that's not long now! How exciting, and yes don't go anywhere your still at the same stage as the rest of us.

I went on google yesterday just to check what 'month' I currently am as I was finding it difficult to work out, being thick and I worked out it was the beginning of month 6 which surprised me as the other day I told someone 5! Ha Confused

I love Luna!! Fab name!

Finished painting the nursery today it looks lovely and fresh, cant wait to put everything in in a few months now. Waiting for cot to come! Eeek!

bradders85 · 18/01/2015 21:07

Smiley pleased I'm not the only walking dot to dot!! The doctor did mention that pregnancy can make moles change appearance/shape and even appear - like the info three posted in the link. I've had 2 removed in the past but this is my first biopsy so hopefully all ok - they must did deep as it was quite small but I have 6 stitches! Got to go back in 10 days to get them removed.

Loving some of the name suggestions, we are team yellow - girls name sorted as always wanted one but boys names proving difficult!! Again associate names with kids I teach! :)

Turquoisetamborine · 19/01/2015 07:03

Does anyone else feel that their H/partner is not taking much of an interest in the baby? My h hasn't even sat with his hand on my belly to feel the kicks. It's starting to really upset me. He doesn't seem excited or talk about the baby. DS does all the right things, talking through my belly button, he announces how many weeks old he is every Thursday and is so excited.
We had ivf so it's not like this is a surprise pregnancy. We tried three years for this baby! And went through hell to get here.

BeanCalledPickle · 19/01/2015 07:55

Turquoise it's a coping mechanism they employ. Virtually everyone DH knew had had a miscarriage so that was very normal to him, so he wouldn't talk about it much at all until we had passed twelve weeks. And even after that he wouldn't engage with it much until well passed viability. He's a bit better this time but ultimately it's not happening to them all day every day. Must be weird really. We are all very aware we are having a baby. They just carry on as normal and one day a baby appears!

mumxof3x · 19/01/2015 09:02

Turquoise my partner has been the same with all of my pregnancys 2 planned/2 suprises.

cuphat · 19/01/2015 09:14

Thanks for the info on the baby on board badges. I requested one not expecting to get one as I noticed afterwards that they (normally) only post them to certain areas but mine arrived just before we left and was very useful! Wish I could wear one where I live!

BeanCalledPickle · 19/01/2015 10:13

Cool. Did you have a good weekend?? I wear my badge wherever I am. It's permanently on my coat!

CockBollocks · 19/01/2015 10:24

Hi everyone. Have not posted in ages, it took so long to get over the sickness and then I kind of got out the habit of coming on here!!!

I'm 26 weeks now, a huge grunting whinge bag of ailments Grin

Snooky17 · 19/01/2015 10:40

Morning hope everyone had a good weekend, my OH is also not that excited the 2 miscarriages were tough on him, but I think until they hold the baby in their arms for some men it doesn't hit home till then. I too are struggling with names I really like Freya but OH requires persuasion, sadly can't really be arsed with my normal "persuasion"techniques At the mo lol

applecore0317 · 19/01/2015 11:50

Morning everyone :)

Turquoisetamborine I think its harder for them as they don't experience it, My DH is on off with showing his interest, with us it really is all we think about as we are feeling the movements and every other lovely thing that comes with pregnancy :)

Got my consultant appointment on Wednesday to check the length of my cervix, anyone else had an internal scan? I had one YEARS ago when they wanted to check my ovaries for any issues, but can't really remember it, and can't imagine it being comfortable when pregnant?

cuphat · 19/01/2015 12:02

It was amazing thanks, Bean. Turned out the restaurant was at the hotel we were staying at so not far to travel there at all Grin . And Queen and Adam Lambert were fantastic. Was very impressed with the O2 and the tube getting there too. My husband refused to leave early as he's a massive fan but we stayed out with some of his friends and the tube was pretty quiet by the time we left. The badges work! They're a very good idea. I kept mine on my coat and it turned out to be a conversation starter too. Do you wear yours out of London though?
