Hello ladies. I got my BFP (bloody faint positive in my case) on Monday and am due on 3rd September. I couldn't see any other threads for next September so thought I would go ahead and create a little home for us over the coming months. Merry Christmas to all of you finding out about your extra Christmas Present over the next few days Grin .

Haha well they're being plonked in front of the tv most of the time! Bad mummy.

NatalieBee · 27/12/2014 17:51

Just did a clear blue digital ?? it says pregnant 3+! I need to be banned from taking more tests!

nutelladipper · 27/12/2014 19:08

Ooh yay I'm going to do one next week. The 3+ is the last reassurance until 12 wk scan! Lol

GinFace · 27/12/2014 19:57

Hello folks...can I join? BFP Christmas Eve Grin due 1st Sept with brother or sister for DS who is 3.5.

I'm crampy and my boobs feel like sore bricks Blush

How is everyone else getting on?

NatalieBee · 27/12/2014 20:11

Nutella I'll get a 7 week scan because of my recurrent miscarriage Smile doctors on Monday to try and work out when I'm due and get booked in with my consultant at epau Smile eeep

NatalieBee · 27/12/2014 20:12

Welcome GinFace! Here's to a. Easy 9months eh Wink

DastardlyDachshund · 27/12/2014 20:18

Welcome GinFace.

NatalieBee I am guilty of retesting too. Did a superdrug test and a cb digital which gave me a darker line than I have had all week and 'pregnant 1-2 weeks' respectively so I am feeling a lot happier about everything now.

Symptom wise, it has all been quite mild for me so far. Some tiredness on Christmas Day and Boxing Day. Sore boobs - like they are pre af but constant. Nausea - when I wake up and before I go to bed pretty much. Then today it ramped up a bit. I've felt nauseous 3/4 times today and so tired I fell asleep on the sofa for a couple of hours while the dc and my husband watched a film. I bought a bottle of lambrusco rose for Christmas day (before I found out) that I now can't drink. I also have a big bag of peanuts that I now can't eat. My appetite has decreased a lot which is very odd for me lol.

MaudeTheMopLady · 27/12/2014 20:31

Congrats on the test Natalie! Might have to go and get myself one of those Wink
Dastardly - Congrats on your retest too. That must Be a relief.
I too feel your pain with the Rose. DH has bought a crate of amazingly delicious wine, and I am having to content myself with guilty sniffs. Been chomping down the peanuts though like there's no tomorrow... Hadn't twigged about that one.

Ginface - hello! I have a three year old DS too.

Hope all goes well for everyone!

GinFace · 27/12/2014 20:44

Oh I'm feeling the booze pain...bought tons of prosecco for Christmas, plus gallons of wine for our upcoming week away for new year and now it's sitting, alone in the cupboard.

On the other hand, how exciting is it that we're all growing tiny people?!

Anyone having an early scan? We've booked one for 10th Jan. Had one with DS and it made getting to the 12 week mark that little bit easier.

GinFace · 27/12/2014 20:45

(I also meant to say thank you for the warm welcome)

It is a massive relief Maude yes. I have been kind of worried about things since tuesday lol.

I am not usually a drinker to be honest Ginface. I only bought the bottle for christmas day at my in laws (some creative excuses needed there). Plus it only cost a couple of quid so not a huge deal to lose.

Hugs to enviousllama though for the peanut thing. They have been tempting me this afternoon. Really goes to show how much advice changes in only a few short years (5 in my case).

Everywhere I look there is a bottle of wine staring at me! Hubby doesn't drink it's either so I'm looking forward to working my way through it next Christmas!

I doubt I'll get an early scan. I haven't before now but I'll see how I'm feeling once the Xmas holidays are over and I'm less busy with more time to worry!

X

MaudeTheMopLady · 27/12/2014 21:29

That's good news re: peanuts. Phew! Wipes brow. Thanks envious!

Look forward to hearing about all the early scans. Fingers crossed for everybody.

ElleyBear13 · 27/12/2014 21:39

Evening! May i join? On the august one too but due around 30th currently 5w2d :) i feel like im in the same boat as everyone else here.....got my booking appointment booked for the 12th and booking a private early scan for the 18th when ill be 8w2d - we had a mc in september and had a awful time with hospitals not listening to us so going for reassurance really. Hows everyone coping? Still got sore boobs, bloating, feeling very sickly and heartburn very happy i have these symptoms!! Still feeling very scared though. :( Stats: ElleyBear13, 24, mc 09/14, 2nd pregnancy ' first' baby due 30/08.

GinFace · 27/12/2014 21:45

Hello Elley. So sorry to hear about your mc. Hoping things go really well for you this time.

Envious that's great news about nuts. Thank you. Avoided peanut butter and large bag of dry roasted peanuts today Hmm as I thought we weren't allowed them. Good to know otherwise!

How are your DHs being? Mine is being a little quiet...think he's in planning mode working out how we're going to get our extension done in time. Or he's just being a typical male Grin

Also, what is the appropriate MN terminology for one's bump / unborn baby? I've been around a while but never in this part of the site before...

ChandlersFarang · 27/12/2014 21:56

Hello you lovely lot and congratulations to you all, best Xmas present ever?!!!! I got the first ever BFP of my life this morning (after a pretty hellish year of trying/PCOS diagnosis/fertility treatments/giving up!) which was a total surprise!! I have no other kids.

I ovulated/conceived on 16 Dec (which was CD40, typical long PCOS cycle!!) so I have no idea when I'm due - have been told either 8 or 16 Sept by various apps..!! Anyway it's very early days - am only 11DPO - but cautiously excited!! Tested because my boobs have been killing me since 8DPO - so did a FRER with FMU this morning, and got a pretty clear second line!! Yikes!!

My stats: ChandlersFarang, 32, due date 8-16 Sept, first DC! Grin

Fx for sticky beans for everyone x x x x x x

DastardlyDachshund · 27/12/2014 22:30

Welcome Elleybear and Chandlers.

My DH has seemed quite excited Ginface I think due to the fact we managed to conceive without clomid this time. But he did congratulate me on the positive test results. Like he had nothing to do with it Hmm Grin. I reminded him that he was there too lol. He's been talking about baby names and when we should tell people etc though so I can tell he is excited too.

Kittykitty05 · 27/12/2014 23:03

Hi all,
I've just joined mumsnet so I could join in! I got a bfp on Xmas eve so due early September ??.
We already have a ds who is 11, and dd who's 7 now, and a history peppered with repeaded mmc and fertility issues, so feeling in limbo now as to whether to actually feel excited or panicky!
Think I prob could do with seeing midwife early but dreading the battle with our doctors receptionist, who normally likes to quiz you before deciding whether you can see someone!

Good news about peanuts btw seeing as I've been happily munching on peanut butter today without even considering it!!!

DastardlyDachshund · 27/12/2014 23:15

Hello chandlers & kitty Smile

Anyone else told people yet? We've been 'forced' to...I'm a bit of a piss head and over Christmas we've stayed with PIL and my parents. They, with a doubt, would have guessed if I'd refused a drink so we told them. They're over the moon. Also going away for a week with our close friends - the holiday for which I have ordered the lorry load of booze - and we'll not get away with keeping the secret from them.

I'm not bothered that we've told a couple of people; the only reason I wouldn't want the world to know at this stage is because of mc risk, but to be honest if (god forbid) anything happened then we'd tell these guys anyway.

How is everyone feeling today?
