hugs for you why- is there anything more the good people of the medical profession can do for you, or is it really just a case of having to get on with it?

It's stories like this that just make me so grateful that I'm doing OK, pregnancy-wise

Memphis- I've just had to start leaving a trail of destruction behind me now- I've always been really clumsy but its so much effort to bend over now that things are just staying where they fall!

WhyOWhy - Flowers Honestly you have all of my sympathies, I'm getting to the point with PGP that I'm starting to forget what it felt like to not be in pain. I'm still able to hobble about though, making the most of that.

I've still got a sodding cold, the bugger just won't go. Luckily the nausea dissipated overnight though. Hoping that it doesn't return.

I'm meant to have my Whooping Cough jab tomorrow, will they still give it to me if I've got a cold?

Memphisbelly · 11/12/2014 10:56

frenetic I think they only hold off if you have a temp.

bangles I do that too at home things stay on floor until someone else picks it up but stock at work wont sell on floor this is my last thursday at work thank god the other days I work with mum

BanglesSpangles · 11/12/2014 10:56

Frenetic - I decided to cancel mine last wee- couldn't find anything specific to say you shouldn't have it done if you've got a cold, but I didn't want to run the risk of feeling any worse than I did and had heard lots of stories about it making you feel a bit fluey after you have it done.

Booked again for next week, and handily they'll do it after my midwife appointment, so having a cold actually saved me a journey!

Why I'm sorry your feeling so crap. Puts my aches and pains into perspective that's for sure.

I'm 32 weeks today and my app says baby's movements should be slower like it's putting on a ballet display.
It's lying this little one is going to be the next WWE star. I swear he's trying to claw his way out.

Memphisbelly · 11/12/2014 11:11

donkir if I put this baby as a dancer it would be a bloody streetdancer. Grin Grin

freneticfox · 11/12/2014 11:14

|I'll wait and see what they say tomorrow, luckily my GP is nice and close and I just want it done and out of the way. I'll cope with any side effects if/when they show up...

Memphis Going slightly OT here, Am I going completely mad or is it you that sells yarns?

Minichuch · 11/12/2014 11:14

Frentic - I had whooping cough jab on Tues - other than a slight irritation on my arm around injection site - I've not no other adverse reactions - the mw did it straight away at appointment when I mentioned i needed to get it booked

Memphisbelly · 11/12/2014 11:44

frenetic yes thats me the waddling wool woman

freneticfox · 11/12/2014 11:47

Don't suppose you could recommend me a decent budget/value aran weight yarn? So many patterns I'm stashing to try all use Red Heart Supersaver, which is pretty much impossible to get in the UK, all I know is it's Aran weight, 100% acrylic. First time I've ever felt particularly fussy about matching yarn!

Sorry for the OT, ladies, turned into a bit of a crocheting demon while being off sick!

BanglesSpangles · 11/12/2014 12:04

almost time for my office christmas lunch- boast boast, we're off to the Savoy, daaahlings :D

I'm going to miss these guys when I'm on mat leave (although my boss has just said that she fully expects me to be ringing in to get progress reports... yeah, that's blatantly not going to be happening!!)

Frenetic, stylecraft is a very good substitute. What are you making?

freneticfox · 11/12/2014 12:12

I'd heard good things about Stylecraft a while back, may revisit! Made a chevron cowl recently, but the DK yarn I used wasn't quite up to to, so wanting to try something heavier and a lot of patterns on Ravelry in particular use the Red Heart one.

Memphisbelly · 11/12/2014 12:32

we have stylecraft aran 100g £1.70 a ball or £7.40 for 400g with 25% wool content. stylecraft is classed as nicest quality in the lower price bracket

freneticfox · 11/12/2014 12:37

Did you say you're based in the market? Providing my jab tomorrow doesn't instantly floor me, may drop by x

Memphisbelly · 11/12/2014 12:51

yes we are. on the edge near carpark

LancashireTea · 11/12/2014 13:52

Afternoon ladies. Back to Barnet Gen I go to find out the results of the GD test of doom.

At least I get the afternoon off to have a nice solo lunch in town and then buy my secret santana presents for work I got the pgce student so bollocks knows how um going to reflect her personality!
Silver linings to be a fat sod with diabetes!

freneticfox · 11/12/2014 13:55

I just got a letter from my local hospital officially declining my ELCS request and saying I need councelling, as I clearly have underlying mental health issues!

I'm so livid I can't see straight!!

LancashireTea · 11/12/2014 14:03

That's fucking outrageous Frenetic!!!

WhyOWhyWouldYou · 11/12/2014 14:06

Thanks ladies. I spent most of the morning crying. I've just completely reached the end of my tether with it all - the pain, the locking up, my legs giving out at my hip joints more and more, the different trapped nerves I keep getting from things moving. Also the sleep deprivation from the pain stopping me sleeping / getting back to sleep or waking me yet again because I moved my leg slightly is too much. I cannot take it anymore but there's bugger all else to help.

Oh and I'm bloody angry with myself for being so fat - it'll be making everything worse but I could never manage to shift my baby weight after DS.

WhyOWhyWouldYou · 11/12/2014 14:11

frenetic add it to your complaint and try to forget about the idiots (hard I know). At least you've escaped them for the better hospital.

freneticfox · 11/12/2014 14:47

I just read the letter to my midwife (I wanted to be completely sure I wasn't misunderstanding anything) and she's horrified.

They're basically saying that because I've gone away and done my own research and requested an ELCS I need mental help.

sandulacek · 11/12/2014 15:54

Geez Frenetic that's so bad! Yep definitely complain. Being at home I also started crocheting...just trying to follow some youtube videos and fingers crossed the baby might have some hats.

whyO hope your pain eases a bit. It definitely puts my back and hip pain on perspective. Although the hip pain during the nights are bad but not as bad as yours.

We had the scan today. Missy is doing fine and there is thankfully no sign of anything abnormal on her brain and she's growing just fine following my low blood pressure when I had the internal bleeding. She still referred us for her brain mri just to be sure but said she's not expecting anything to come up. When we talked about it with DH we'd rather know and be prepared.
