bang I laughed at the mud slide Grin Grin I see the pains as a sign from my body to keep moving as it seems to moving baby in right direction

Bangonthedoor · 04/01/2015 15:03

It was very funny....luckily there are public loos at the park so I at least managed to wash my hands clean.

I like your way of thinking re the pains, never thought of it like that before.

purpleteapig · 04/01/2015 15:06

I sympathise with the pointy shoe syndrome sufferers - been getting that myself lately. Yesterday was chatting with some neighbours we'd invited for lunch and trying not to gasp as I was getting sharp pains - bit off putting & I kept losing track of what I was saying...

Haha bang, that does sound funny!

JacktheLab · 04/01/2015 15:09

Aw sorry Bang, laughed too, but Ive done that sort of things loads, so it's a companionable laugh!

I told my DH last night I was getting pains down below too, I guess its one of the fun things we get to enjoy in the third trimester! I have no hopes though that it means anything is going to happen anytime soon though :(

I'm sitting down for the first time all day DH has taken the boy out to the park, cuppa tea on the go, tis lovely :)

Memphisbelly · 04/01/2015 15:17

Dh is currently pumping up a ball for me to bounce on....it is taking ages he is actually sweating Grin

Minichuch · 04/01/2015 16:02

I am no longer allowed to say ouch that hurts without specifying body part, this is after I woke DH up in middle of night to say that really hurts, he sat up in a panic asked me where - my answer I don't know then rolled over and went straight back to sleep - I had one unhappy and panicked husband!

GeekyHybrid · 04/01/2015 16:05

2 walls partially done Confused F*in ejits that previously 'decorated', every room has been like this Angry At least I've got the time now. Fingers crossed!

Viperama · 04/01/2015 18:25

Bad idea to watch Bambi whilst pregnant.
Sob!!

Honeybird · 04/01/2015 19:17

We've got bambi on too viper, so distressing.

Feeling awful, fever and all blocked up. And I know that as soon as I start to feel better I'll have two sick kids on my hands.

I know fever isn't a great thing when pregnant but when do I need to worry, any advice?

Memphisbelly · 04/01/2015 19:24

Honey I think it is same advice as with a little one, temp has to be quite high before its a problem, if you are concerned just call mau for adivce, it won't hurt.

Bugger Bambi that would finish me off.... I cried at Nanny McFee 2 yesterday, I went cinema when pg with ds and cried so much at the end my mum walked out and left me Grin

Baby room is almost sorted, I just need some patterned boxes to store crap I have no home for under the cot and make bunting and bumper

JacktheLab · 04/01/2015 19:46

Haha,

I made my DH move the sitting room round, sat there for ten minutes and decided I didn't like it and we moved it all back to the way it was! He's not very happy with me at the moment ;)

I'm planning to be on my bottom for the rest of the night, it's been a long two weeks and I'm very happy that DS is going back to nursery tomorrow, and DH to work, it's going to be strange being at home though!

I've definetly got a slight stabby feeling in my uterus, hence forward to be known as a jaggy fanny (sorry to anyone who is of a polite persuation and finds that offencive!). Bloody irritating!

Step away from the soppy films ladies, far too many hormones going on for all that these days! I've just signed up to Netflix, I think a fair amount of the my tv watching will be taken up with Orange is the New Black ;)

Memphisbelly · 04/01/2015 19:56

Jack.....it is called Fanny Daggers in this house, I told my mum it is a medical term and she believed meGrin
I went upstairs as it kept making me jump and dh came up and asked is it contractions and if not what does it feel like I said like being punched or kicked low down Grin over and over

BanglesSpangles · 04/01/2015 21:01

Yoohoo
Wallpaper is all up and im in my pjs. No fannydaggers/jaggyfanny or any other noonie stabs for me, but my sciatica is back with a freaking vengance!

Cant believe its back to work tomorrow :(

Do we get to see a picture bangles?

BanglesSpangles · 04/01/2015 21:10

I tried taking one to show my mum, but it looks rubbish in the pics just a big grey room- i shall wait until the mission is completed!

Third night in a row cannot sleep. im so tired but my hips and lower back are so sore sleeping on either side and multiple pillows are pissing me off. I'm moved to single bed in nursery that's a normal spring mattress.

Looking forward to fanny daggers ;-)

Memphisbelly · 05/01/2015 04:33

I have been up with a headache for ages now, dh has gone to sork and was fretting, feel like I want to pull my teeth out

GeekyHybrid · 05/01/2015 05:32

Slightly bonkers but I'm well chuffed as this is the 2nd morning in a row where I can consider myself to have slept through.

On a sad note I woke to a message from my US cousin to say our 98 year old grandma had passed away. Obviously gutted but also relieved, her alzheimers had worsened recently meaning she was often confused beyond reason. She was born in the middle of WWI, lived the great depression (big style in N Dakota), brought up 3 kids etc. It just seemed she'd always be there. Confused Hey ho, will concentrate on happy memories of bowling followed by Baskin Robbins ice cream Grin

Bangonthedoor · 05/01/2015 07:21

Sorry to hear about your grandma geeky sending you big hugs Thanks

Can't believe it's Monday already....DP made a right noise getting ready for work disturbing DD and I. I think this was secretly done on purpose in some form of protest.

MIGHT attempt swimming with DD today if I can manage to get my swimming costume on, now that should be interesting.

BanglesSpangles · 05/01/2015 07:33

Hugs for you geeky- 98 is a grand old age Flowers

Back to work, back/arse is preeetty sore today so sitting on my office chair is going to be interesting

Geeky,

sad news :( Hope you are ok?

DH just left for work, taking DS to nursery in half an hour, then onto cleaning the kitchen, don't really feel ready for maternity leave now, but I felt like this last time too, it's the waiting around I think that does it!

Memphisbelly · 05/01/2015 09:04

Geeky sorry to hear about you gm, what a great age though! Hope you are ok.

Headache still here,ds spilled milk all over the carpet and himself this morning first thing, had hv on phone about a visit, I have opted out of a pre baby one as its only on monday and tuesdays and i am busy on those days. Feels odd not hsving dh here but glad he is back though before baby arrives or it would have been a whole month of him at home...he would have drove me nutsGrin

Viperama · 05/01/2015 09:06

Geeky, sorry about your Grandma. Have you read The Grapes of Wrath, legendary story about the Great Depression, was an eye opener for all the frugality that was passed down from my maternal Grandpa to all the family (grandmas family was wealthy, and the other half went over after ww2). I've such deep respect for their generation.

In other news, in desperation at 4am I follwed advice online and put my head where my feet go on mattress...and SLEPT. Cue choir of angels singing hallelujah. So first thing this morning DP flipped mattress, I am eating my breakfast and then going back to bed!

GeekyHybrid · 05/01/2015 09:33

Thanks for all the sympathy ladies. 98 was definitely a good innings. My mom and I have just been on the phone talking about her for the past hour.
Viper - glad you got sleep. It really does help one feel a bit more human. And yep, grapes of wrath an amazing book. Where the family end up in the central valley of California is where some of Steinbecks other books are set and is where my mom grew up. A hangover of the depression for my grandmother is that she always had 2 (US-sized!) cupboards full of tinned food. Not to mention all the packet food - dried macaroni cheese x6, pancake mix x10 etc! Despite the prosperity they found from the 50's onwards, especially once they moved to California, she just had to have full store cupboards. Bless. I remember finding tinned pears 15 years out of date once :-D
I'll miss her but really can't complain, after 98 years it was time she found peace again. And she can terrorise Grampa again after almost 20 years apart!! ;-D

longbottom · 05/01/2015 09:56

I caught DD's sick bug, feel rough and haven't gone into work. Also the worse head ache known to man. Sad
Thoughts are with you Geeky, she sounds like a fab lady.
