Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Honeybird · 17/12/2014 16:34

Certainly possible peppermint but quite early. My first engaged early but then had 'disengaged' again at my next appointment.

Is this your first? Would somebody be able to re-post that spreadsheet with us all on?

BanglesSpangles · 17/12/2014 16:40

Oh and i think we've definitely settled on Sid, name-wise.

Various family members kept asking and that was the front runner at the time so even if we went off it now, everyone's already calling him that! Dm has even nick named it to Siddy!

PeppermintInfusion · 17/12/2014 16:51

Hi honey, yes it's my first. If he hasn't engaged he's definitely moved position as the movements feel really different.

thingsarelookingup · 17/12/2014 17:17

Sid is a great name bangles. And not too common. I have to settle for relatively common because dh won't go for anything unusual but hopefully we'll find something we agree on soon.

That's great about the work from home peppermint. If only I could teach from home if be laughing.

thingsarelookingup · 17/12/2014 17:21

Next year I'll be settled in my own house (not flat) and I think I'll go all out with Christmas decs then. This year is just too hectic and too cramped to add a tree to. Disneyland definitely sounds like a compliment viper.

LittleMissSunshine33 · 17/12/2014 18:06

Thanks for the tonic water tip Jen I will try that!

Peppermint what are the names on your Shortlist?

I am all decorated for Christmas even the baby's room! I love it not loving the soft cheeses, pâté, cold meats and wine my OH got from France yesterday that I can't have Hmm

freneticfox · 17/12/2014 18:17

Peppermint, I've had the same the last few days. Pressure totally off my lungs and stomach, feeling a lot of pressure low down. Seeing mw next Tues, will ask about it then if nothing changes.

Had a tough few days, today marks exactly two years since my Dad passed away suddenly... Finding it so hard at the moment. I keep torturing myself with memories that will never happen, like him taking little one to the zoo... Etc.

Grief is just an awful, unpredictable beast.

Memphisbelly · 17/12/2014 18:41

Bangles the only 2 we can sort of agree on is Sidney and Donnie. I don't want a for certain name until we see him, we were set on Cole last time but ds wasn't a Cole when he popped out luckily we hadn't told anyone.

Frenetic sorry you are feeling low, it is such a hard thing losing someone so close to us Thanks

Peppermint I engaged at 32 weeks last time, my movements are different now he is head down and I am getting grinding sensations and an extremely low feeling but he isn't engaged, I had scan in week and his head is sitting on the edge waiting to drop in.

I am so uncomfortable today thr be.ly is even harder today and I cannot sit forward at all, 34+1 now I just cannot see me going full term.

JacktheLab · 17/12/2014 18:57

Howdy all :)

We agreed on a name a while ago and although we don't absolutely love it, we both like it, couldnt agree on one we liked better and now I've bonded with the baby using that name I don't want to change my mind really. Still not telling anyone though, incase when little miss arrives she is obviously someone else entirely, if that makes sense?

This year is the first year my ds has really gotten xmas, he's just over three and very very excited about santa, it makes everything more fun I think, we have a tree up and various decorations and ds is now at the age where he doesn't try to touch the tree or pull it over or anything so it's been good fun :)

Grinningcat · 17/12/2014 19:16

Re cramps, my best solution is for DH to provide regular foot and lower leg massages on a regular basis! Grin it really does work!

We don't have decs up yet, but we did get them down from the loft at the weekend so partly on our way.

Went into London today and someone gave up their seat for me for the first time. Mind you this was after I was making my way to an empty seat and a sprightly older lady nipped in front of me and sat down. She even looked up and said sorry, pretty much to my bump, but clearly wasn't in the slightest Shock. The nice gentleman two seats down saw this and immediately got up and offered me his seat which I thanked him for.

Memphisbelly · 17/12/2014 21:24

Productive nght here. Started my hospital bag, finished decorations and 9 months after getting married finally put some photos in frames (didnt want guests over xmas thinking I was hiding wedding Grin)

Jack my ds is 4 and last year he got it this year its even better, many questions about Santa, petrified of naughty list etc Grin

Have mw tomorrow for 34 week check Smile

sandulacek · 17/12/2014 22:35

Hi all

Hardly any xmas decs out but my excuse is that we're going to pil on Saturday. For a week! I must have had a baby brain on when I suggested it/ agreed to it!

Jack we agreed on the name too, a bit scary as it seemed too easy. I feel like I should have spent days and days choosing! Keeping it to ourselves too just in case.

My DH had a day off today so went to London too for a nice Peruvian lunch and to pick up last few pressies.

sandulacek · 17/12/2014 22:39

I kind of forced someone to give up their seat Blush. The overcrowded train was so hot so after taking my coat off I asked if they wouldn't mind opening the window which forced them to look up from their phones to see my belly...oopps Grin

WhyOWhyWouldYou · 18/12/2014 04:38

Been up for well over an hour - woke up because of the PGP pain (normal) but now can't get back to sleep because of a combination of the damn pain and the disco that this baby has decided to have in my tummy at stupid am. Going barmy here!

Memphisbelly · 18/12/2014 07:26

Also been up half the night here. I am not well I think I have the Man Flu. Been up since around 3 dh went and got me some paracetamol and I just lay here feeling rubbish since.

Honeybird · 18/12/2014 08:57

sand I commute into London too but have officially given up on feeling guilty. As soon as I'm in the train I loudly ask for somebody to give me their seat. Somebody always does ...
My DH is Peruvian, where did you go for food? Was it good?
And as for names we've got one sorted too. I have moments of doubt but I did with our daughter too...

amyandtom · 18/12/2014 09:03

Hello my account was recently suspended on mums net for what i believe was a post written without my awareness , I am just responding to that to let you all know i believe it was actually my ex-boyfriend from 2 years ago who has never really accepted the concept of me moving on and has always been very jealous, however i did share alot of details about my activity on mums-net but can assure he is no longer someone i share information with nor do i respect him, he had my phone on a works night out and clearly has no respect for my fiancée or my privacy. I am changing all my passwords and assure that this will not happen again.
Thanks Amy (amyandtom) x
Thank you for taking time to read this x

I guess to prove this is me i could finally share my scan picture :) x
We are calling him Oscar and he our new baby boy to be xx

Grinningcat · 18/12/2014 09:03

On the other hand I actually have managed to sleep all the way through for the last two nights. Absolute bliss for a change. Might have had something to do with the 97 million wees I had to do before actually falling asleep though. Grin

Grinningcat · 18/12/2014 09:05

Welcome back Amy. We figured it wasn't actually you on the other end of the post.

amyandtom · 18/12/2014 09:08

Wasn't sure where the picture was but everyone say hello to bump Oscar xx

WhyOWhyWouldYou · 18/12/2014 09:13

I eventually got a bit of sleep. I'm exhausted though, wish I could have had a lie in.

I'm also trying to work out how to tell BIL we can't afford the present he's saying to get SIL. Me and DH don't even spend that much on each other. The problem is BIL doesn't see it as a lot of money (they have twice the income we do and don't yet have their own place so no bills to worry about even - even when they do get a place early next year its a subsidised army one they are getting with subsidised utility's).

WhyOWhyWouldYou · 18/12/2014 09:19

Welcome back Amy. Looks like you had a lucky escape from a total dick of a man.

Oh and on the names front we've had a girls name since just after 12week scan. Couldnt come up with a boys name at all, luckily baby seems to be a girl. - its funny actually last time we had our DS's name early on but couldn't come up with a girls name at all.

Honeybird · 18/12/2014 09:23

Welcome back Amy and hello Oscar! Like the name. Also like Sidney and Donnie!

Memphisbelly · 18/12/2014 09:31

WhyO I was like that both times have had one girls name I would have gone with, weirdly if I had a choice would have had boys yet struggled with names both times.

The names I like I picked early on and I think this is whats making me wobbble, not found anything I like as much but it seemed to easy to decide on thrm so it doesnt feel right for that reason.

Grinningcat · 18/12/2014 09:31

We haven't decided on names yet, but have a couple of choices for a boy or girl although we don't have first/middle name combos yet. We're planning on going in with a couple of combos for each and then see what the baby looks like. We have told people a girl's name and a boy's name which we really like and are keeping the others under our hats in RL. However I don't mind telling you ladies. We like Elizabeth and Isaac which we have made public, but also Isobel and Peter. I really like David, but DH has far too many in his family (3) plus a friend called David so I've always known it was out as a first name. I do fancy nicking my DSis's middle name Johanna as a middle name as I've always liked it and I've never met anyone else with that as a name.
