Jack I am the same feel too full of baby to do the jobs I need to do just all seems so much harder this time around which I am finding hard to get my head around.

Bangles oh no how rubbish about your back! Hope it eases over night

Forgot my arches in my shoes today and I am now in agony, about to have a hot bath to try and sort it.
Hospital have had to cancel appointment tomorrow which im happy about it was from 10 and I would have struggled to get back for school play at 2 so now I am hoping I can spent the morning sorting out all the presents into bags and clearing baby room, cleaning pushchair and putting all the baby stuff into bags to send to mothers for her to wash and tumble! If I manage to get these jobs done I may feel more in control again....oh and I need to decorate the house a bit more than just a tree ds feels very neglected as 'everyone' else has lights up....my dads looks like a bloody grotto

I'm so on countdown to ML starting. Can't believe how tired I am with going to work. Had my PDR today, I never do 'enjoy' the process but really do feel like it's a bunch of shite when I'm not going to be around for the majority of next year, never mind the 'growing season'. Goals for next year: 1) Have child 2) Adapt to totally different life 3) Make it back to work! Luckily my boss didn't actually make me set targets for next year though he did still have to do a 'potential' rating based on if I'll be getting promoted in the next 12 months or not ;-/ Not would be my guess!!

In other news, I feel bruised from the inside out from where sproglet is pressing / kicking my upper belly. Said upper belly is now practically at my tits! Feeling quite big - and then a (male) colleague today informed me that I hadn't grown much in the past fortnight. Almost wolloped him. Grrr. Like you can really tell bump size whilst I'm wearing a vest, baggy t-shirt, large fleece jumper and a fleece jacket! At least we're settled back in our bedroom complete with carpet :-D Just the nursery to sort. In January.

Hi All

How weird was that message!! Stupid hackers!

Went to see Thriller on Sunday am paying for it today too much walking and dancing I keep forgetting I'm 7 months pregnant!

Anyone else getting cramp in their legs? Mine is when I'm in bed at night wonder if I should buy those aeroplane socks to help with circulation?!

Memphisbelly · 16/12/2014 20:52

Little miss I am also getting restless legs it drives me mad, I use a pillow but problem with flight socks is getting them on when you cant reach your feet properly Grin
Geeky I am the same so many layers on for work, hopefully your bump will drop soon once baby engages, so weird how the belly holds up the boobs Grin

I am unsure if I will escape with no stretch marks this time, at night I have marks on my hips thatare darker im unsure if its skin stretching with weight of bump or if it is veins. How glam. Dh told me to stop itching my bump He has this weird idea the skin will rip....it does look sooooo tight

GeekyHybrid · 16/12/2014 21:19

littlemiss yes to cramps, I tend to wake up to them in my calves if I've not slept with a pillow between my knees! And cos I'm still half asleep my auto reaction is to stretch my leg out which just makes it cramp worse. OH has been woken by rather blue air on several occasions Grin

GeekyHybrid · 16/12/2014 21:21

memphis lol at belly holding up boobs, good descriptionGrin

Honeybird · 16/12/2014 21:27

I'm the same with cramps and also the blue air geeky, woke DH up a couple of nights ago and sent him into a complete panic, he must have thought I was in labour, or worse.

Honeybird · 16/12/2014 21:29

Can't agree with the belly on boobs though Memphis. Pre-pregnancy they are so small that all pregnancy can do for me is bring them up to an almost decent size!

WhyOWhyWouldYou · 16/12/2014 21:40

Its been a busy day on here. Lots of you having big works done on the house - hope it all goes smoothly.

Lanc just make sure you tell diabetes midwife that you've not had normal midwife appointment. This time round I don't get to see midwife if I've got consultant appointment at same gestation and I had to ask at consultant appointment for my 28week bloods to be done.

Memphis there is a house in our street that's more lit up than any grotto I've seen - even their lawn has lights and there's a Santa projection playing in the window - the people opposite must need black out curtains to get some sleep. DS loves it though. He keeps wanting to go and see it.

Littlemiss I had it terribly last time, didn't find anything that helped but touching lots and lots of wood I've escaped the leg cramps this time.

Memphisbelly · 16/12/2014 22:06

Geeky argh yes cramps in the calves, I got that for first time ever a few nights ago, touched my calves and it was rock hard but when I rubbed it it hurt even more!

Honey my boobs are gross size G cup, all veins makes me feel ugh looking at them!

BanglesSpangles · 16/12/2014 22:14

plumber has smashed the bottom of the toilet, so its currently being propped up with a roll of duct tape and sways when you sit on- its bloody lucky I dont need a poo at the moment!

Memphis- my house only had the tree and i felt distinctly poor relation-y compared to some of the extravaganzas round here! So now I have a tree, a wreath and a garland thingamy on the fireplace

Day off tomorrow- was intending on having a relaxing day, but my mum's ill so asked if I could take my nephew to playschool and look after my niece. Bit scared- it seems a bit grown up! Two months left for me to get over myself! So on that note, im going for a stretch out and an earlyish night

jenmcspen · 16/12/2014 22:20

littlemiss I haven't had leg cramps but a girl at my aquanatal class swears by tonic water. Something to do with the quinine maybe? She keeps a mini can by her bed for when they wake her up. Possibly worth a try?

Memphisbelly · 16/12/2014 22:25

Jen I am not going all out just some tinsel on the bannister and blutack my cards up and my mini Nightmare Before Xmas tree....although I have promised ds a light up reindeer next year.

Will buy some tonic water, I had restless legs at start and 2 kiwi fruit a day got rid of it but they don't taste as nice now summer has gone.

Honeybird · 17/12/2014 06:30

Kiwi? I've always had restless legs, worse in pregnancy, and thought bananas were helping a bit... Will try some kiwi too. Not being so damn tired would also help.

donkir · 17/12/2014 07:24

I've heard kiwi, bananas and strawberries help restless legs. Memphis your right not quite as nice now it's winter.

We've not put any xmas decs up here. It just seems like such an effort at the moment and ds is at his dad's xmas day and then we're at grandparents on Boxing Day. Plus we'd have to move all baby stuff we've stored in front room and just have nowhere to put it.

Minichuch · 17/12/2014 10:05

We are on the no Xmas decs as well - only me and dh so seems a bit too much of an effort at the moment - next year will be a different matter Grin

WhyOWhyWouldYou · 17/12/2014 10:46

We've just got a christmas tree up, nothing else's - its too much hastle. We didn't bother at all prior to DS. Last year we just threw up a 4ft frosted fiberoptic so that we didn't have to decorate it - 2mins to put up/take down. This year it is a big 6ft tree, with tinsel and baubles - thats going all out for us.

Memphisbelly · 17/12/2014 11:52

Well I havent done anymore yet. I am just sorting the cot full of presents into bags to go to correct houses and will put it all under the stairs so I can see the baby room again, once cot is empty it will house the hospital bag and then onto decs. So much crap for one bloody day and to make it worse I will probably be grumpy as hell cooking for the masses while huge im starting to regret offering to do xmas. My sil is coming boxing day and she is going to her mums for xmas day so no cooking for her....lbut muggins here offers to have everyone! I may retire to the garage with a cheeky port

Viperama · 17/12/2014 11:56

Lancashire I went to GD clinic yesterday too. They also said they are now my midwives and to cancel my other appointments with normal midwife team.
Are they making you alternate one day post meal, next pre?

Bloods were normal yesterday after a cupcake with lunch! And only 7.9 after a glass of vino and desert with my dinner (it was my birthday in my defence). But this morning pre meal it was through the roof!

Kind of dissapointed I didn't check in yesterday, I missed the scandalous post!! We've not had any issues on this thread before, kind of a shame it's happened.

Viperama · 17/12/2014 12:11

Just read back...Bangles 'arseburgers' lol! I am so going to use that in future, hope your back is better.

Things, your response to that v odd post was spot on. Don't sweat it

Got MIL to help me decorate the flat yesterday, DP came home and said it looks like Disneyland. Job well done then

PeppermintInfusion · 17/12/2014 12:41

Just playing catch up on the thread/ I didn't comment for a few days so it dropped off my list and I couldn't remember where to find it.

I did see the spam message, though I've noticed on some other threads that messages have occasionally posted to the wrong thread unintentionally. Maybe that's what's happened?

I had an occ health assessment for my pregnancy in work this morning. She said if I feel tired to work from home but obviously if I'm sick to take a day off sick etc. This was forwarded on to my boss who has decided I need to work from home a minimum of 2 days a week til I go on ML Smile That's so good as they've been a bit funny about WFH as some were taking advantage of it and I was worried about driving to work if I get much bigger.

Last night DH and I were discussing names and finally made a breakthrough on ones we like that aren't too common. Previously we'd just been listing mostly classic names that we 'didn't hate' as we were uninspired but now we've got a few strong contenders and we don't know anyone else at all called them.

Memphisbelly · 17/12/2014 13:01

Peppermint that is great about work and the names, we are yet to make a brrakthrough with names, I say one dh says no, he says one I say no, 8 binned the baby name book as it was causing me so much stress, feel so guilty baby number 2 is nameless...even no nickname!

PeppermintInfusion · 17/12/2014 14:37

Is it possible for the baby's head to engage at 30w?
Movements have felt really different the last few days, but counting them they are still frequent- just feels like he isn't moving about as freely and is maybe facing backwards now. Also there is quite a lot of pressure on my pelvis and my bump has changed shape.

BanglesSpangles · 17/12/2014 16:29

Hi all, backs loads better today- was a bit niggly when i tried to walk for more than 10 mins but better than it was :)

Had my first ever child care experience- put a nappy on my niece backwards and after 10 minutes of chasing niece and neph around managed to get them dressed. Oh and had an inappropriate lunch comprising mostly of chocolate mousse. I am so not cut out for this!
