Had a rather un-original attempt at a new name! Hop across ladies!

Hoping the stats link works...

Hi everyone, is it okay to sign up to the July club?

I'm 9w6d today, having a scan tomorrow, I'm so nervous!! Had a MMC in June, found out at 12w scan. I crumbled this time and had a private scan this time at what turned out to be 7w1d with HB of 143bpm gave us EDD of July 3rd, now I've just got to think positive!

Xxxxxxxxx

Number3cometome · 04/12/2014 13:33

I think my main worry is that OH's parents will think I have 'trapped' him.

We told MIL and she seemed really happy for us, so probably all in my mind.

It was hilarious actually because OH began apologising to his Mum for getting me pregnant. It was like he was actually admitting he has sex.

like they hadn't heard us before haha

Overtiredbackagain · 04/12/2014 13:52

Number3 that is so funny, but seriously, you are writing everything I think and feel?!

I said to DP at weekend I am worried that people will think I've got pregnant to trap him - when trying for a baby was originally his idea, as he knows time is against me Grin

His parents are only 10 years older than me, so a little odd, but they have accepted us, I'm just scared they will think (especially his mum) I am ruining his life. I think though because I'm not sure how I would feel if it were my DS?

Number3cometome · 04/12/2014 14:07

It was also my OH who suggested having a baby.

When his Mum asked if baby was planned I glared at him with a death stare if you not say yes, I will kill you kind of look.

He said "err yes Mum, sorry"

hahaha!!

Toastandmarmiteallday · 04/12/2014 14:51

So sorry to read the sad news.

Have been catching up with thread (which blimey moves so quickly!) as been caring for poorly DM. Luckily she is on the mend and I have a little time to myself (amongst trying not to be sick, Googling what my aches and pains might mean whilst always thinking the worst and trying to work and not fall asleep at my desk!).

Saw mw for the first time - oh the forms! Bit of a disappointment that nothing more exciting happened and off for bloods/book scan tomorrow - like you all hoping its this side of Christmas/New Year but have a feeling I will have to wait. Still finding it hard to get excited as worried it's all too good to be true (mainly because fell pregnant the first month of trying) so the quicker I see the little one the better!

Hope you ladies are having a good day and roll on the weekend!

8+2

VirtualPointyHat · 04/12/2014 15:32

Sorry to those who have had losses.

Scan appt came through today, 9am on New Years Eve :S

Have booked a private scan for weekend before xmas, so we can tell family at xmas if all is well

Number3cometome · 04/12/2014 15:36

Virtual is that your 12 week?

I think mine will be beginning of Jan.

I have an early scan booked for next Friday (12th).

I think I will be 8 + 6 then, but worrying I may be a week behind as I possibly ovulated late and then tested early if that makes sense.

7 + 5

Thepurplegiraffe · 04/12/2014 15:36

Virtual, mine is also NY eve at 10am! I have booked an early one for the 13th so I can deal with whatever the outcome is before Xmas.

Number3cometome · 04/12/2014 15:41

I think Mcflurries temporarily help the nausea.

This could be a slippery slope.

misseskimo · 04/12/2014 15:48

number I thought mcflurrys were a big nono for pg women?! Shock

Overtiredbackagain · 04/12/2014 15:52

Sorry but yes I agree, I thought McFlurries were off for us ladies - all "soft" ice-cream, Mr Whippy etc??

Naturegirl82 · 04/12/2014 15:54

I think we will book an early scan before Xmas as well so we can tell people Xmas day as it will be obvious if I'm not drinking. I'm still waiting for the mw to get back to me though but as it's not officially nhs then I may still be able to get an appointment before Xmas but within the NT scan dates

WantToGoingTo · 04/12/2014 15:58

NHS says soft ice cream allowed! As long as it is made with pasteurised milk :) look up on nhs choices food to avoid when pregnant. I am going by their rules Grin

Number3cometome · 04/12/2014 16:00

Oh what!!! I really enjoyed that Mcflurry.

Didn't know they were on the banned list :(

Thepurplegiraffe · 04/12/2014 16:04

I find Twisters magical for nausea. They were possibly the only thing that worked the whole way through my last pregnancy.

Zampa · 04/12/2014 16:19

I believe that soft ice cream is only a real issue if it's sat in a container all day (like Mr. Whippy/99 ice cream). The danger is food poisoning but tbh, when have you heard of something getting sick from a 99?

Number3cometome · 04/12/2014 16:20

Zampa only from eating too much Grin

JoY007 · 04/12/2014 16:28

I hope carte d'or is ok? Was unaware of soft icecream, well not like I can have it, will make me nauseous.

Wow ladies getting them young Wink my DP is 4 years younger and this is his first proper relationship, not the puppy love he had before. Cute but sometimes I wish he had more. Funny DPs mum told me to hurry up and get pregnant, no pressure mum Smile

Meanwhile for Xmas, can we have a cheeky brandy cream with mince pies?? Grin

Overtiredbackagain · 04/12/2014 16:30

Peanuts were on the banned list with both my previous pregnancies and yet they are now ok to eat, so I'm currently enjoying a snickers ice cream when I fancy nothing else Grin

Number3cometome · 04/12/2014 16:36

I loved Peanut Butter on toast with banana until a couple of days ago, now gone right off it !

Overtiredbackagain · 04/12/2014 16:37

I never ate peanut butter til about 6 months ago, love it now!! Funny how your tastes change isn't it?! I couldn't eat it with banana though yukkk!

VirtualPointyHat · 04/12/2014 16:39

Yes 12 week, depending on whose dates you go by!

Commercial ice cream in tubs is ok, as it will all have been pateurised.

Soft ices are pasteurised but there is a tiny listeria risk from the machine.

DustOffYourHighestHopes · 04/12/2014 16:45

Nhs rules change all the time. Happily, the sushi rules have changed since DS1! Now all I need is an appetite...

Fleurchamp · 04/12/2014 17:08

This afternoon nausea has struck. I feel so much better when I am eating though.

Work Xmas party tomorrow night. I have hatched my cunning plan for non drinking I have promised a lady from work that my DH will drop us off and that we can get a cab home together (I pass her house to get there). Well, imagine if DH gets held up at work and isn't home in time.... I suppose I will have to drive.... Such a shame Grin

misseskimo · 04/12/2014 17:13

Ahh ok. I just remember seeing something about machine type ice cream such as mr whippy and mcflurrys etc. Being on the no list. I recall a friend being really upset she couldn't have mcd milkshakes because of it!

I've felt crap again today. I'm finding if I slouch in the slightest it hurts my stomach and my work trousers feel so damn tight! Definitely need to look at maternity wear this weekend!!

Also got a call from my mw this afternoon to say I've been referred to a specialist, who I will see on 30th Jan (17wks). Nerve-wracking stuff!
