Had a rather un-original attempt at a new name! Hop across ladies!

Hoping the stats link works...

You should get your GP to send you the card, all you need to do is complete a form with your GP, and card will be sent afterwards.

Number3cometome · 03/12/2014 12:02

Seeing my GP tonight for a BP check so will do that.

Also changing my address after the scan letter went to and got opened at my Dad's house.

awkward

Pipbin · 03/12/2014 12:14

I researched the liquorice things a while ago. Apparently one study shows that women who ate it had slightly higher cases of children with SEN. But that was one study and slightly higher! I wouldn't worry.

Number3cometome · 03/12/2014 12:33

And breathes.....

Fleurchamp · 03/12/2014 12:50

Has anyone experienced raging hunger?

I have just eaten my lunch and tomorrow's too and I still feel starving Hmm

Thepurplegiraffe · 03/12/2014 12:55

I wish! Every meal is a struggle. Getting really sick of it already and we've barely started.

Number3cometome · 03/12/2014 12:57

Fleur I find that if I do not keep eating I feel sick.

I seem to only feel normal when eating (only foods that I want, which seems to change every day) or excercising.

The second I stepped out of the gym last night I felt like I was going to hurl.

I actually haven't been physically sick yet, but came ultra close when brushing my teeth this morning.

Anything acidic makes it much worse, and forget sweet stuff, that's well and truly off the menu.

Naturegirl82 · 03/12/2014 13:23

Hi, I'm very tentatively joining the thread. Still can't quite believe it to be honest. Only got a bfp last night, and I only tested to rule that possibility out. This will be DC2 for me and Dh. DD1 is 10.5 months old (eek!) so this is a little earlier than planned but I guess we will just be getting it all over and done with in one go. The whole pregnancy thing is still very clear in my mind from last time!

I'm knackered (but had put that down to DD not sleeping through the night, and still bf, and working full time), and I have to eat pretty much constantly to stop feeling nauseous (which is why I tested, that and tea started to taste funny!). I've self-referred to the MW today and I think I have a rough EDD of 11 July (based on when we dtd as periods hadn't returned yet!) so about 8+4. I'll likely be testing again tonight and in the morning just to be sure!!

Number3cometome · 03/12/2014 13:34

Welcome Nature!

I think you are the only one here who has realised they are pregnant relatively late on, the rest of us have known since about 4 weeks haha.

There are many ladies here who have young DC so do not fear!

Welcome aboard and don't worry about the obsessive testing, we've all done it haha x

Threeplus1 · 03/12/2014 13:37

Welcome nature ! We are due date buddies Grin

JoY007 · 03/12/2014 13:53

Welcome nature I want that to me in next year, having kids back to back is great Grin

Naturegirl82 · 03/12/2014 14:27

Thanks everyone. Feels very strange being back on the antenatal threads!

I found out early with dd1, but I think I've just put my symptoms down to having an exhausting little one this time!

We are holding off telling people (including family) for a while to give us time to get used to the idea. Definitely not looking forward to telling work, I'll only have been back for about 10 months when hopefully I'll be going off again!

naty1 · 03/12/2014 14:27

Called dr for thyroid results, back but gp not seen (also t4 result not back). So wouldnt tell me. So i said if its over 2 can gp call me as im pg. not sure what level they use. Judging by response its definitely over 2 so im a bit anxious now.

Number3cometome · 03/12/2014 14:42

Naty what does the thyroid mean? Is that bad?

I'm going to ask my GP for my results later because they are shit at spotting stuff and calling me to tell me

I have had issues with prolactin and progesterone levels but hoping that they are ok now.

smallgreenbanana · 03/12/2014 16:04

Oh dear, some brown on going to the loo and some cramping low down. Not much to do as I'm seeing the midwife tomorrow anyway, unless it gets worse or changes. I'm going to be quite upset if this is mc.

Kilicat · 03/12/2014 16:08

Just had a mw drop an appointment letter off at my house as they'd tried to get through on the phone and not reached me so they decided to hand deliver the letter as appointment is on Friday (though I can't make it sadly). Hoping this is a good sign they are friendly and helpful though!

Romeolovesjuliet · 03/12/2014 16:31

Try not to worry banana, hopefully it's nothing. How many weeks are you now?
Welcome nature, I am similarly nervous about telling work if I get that far - I was only back 8 months after DD and it will be the same thereabouts this time. I'm actually pretty embarrassed!
7 wks today and the nausea has been awful the past couple of days. Also struggling to stay awake at my desk - anyone else getting this?

naty1 · 03/12/2014 16:37

smallgreen hope that stops.

I have been being treated for hypothyroidism. It causes coldness, slow metabolism, constipation. More pressure is put on it during pg and levels going off can increase mc risk. Baby has own thyroid working from about 12 weeks.
Im trying to keep it under 2 in 1st tri. It was 2.5 at 4.5 wks and now the dose change has apparently taken it down to 0.91 which is ideal. Quite surprised as im so tired though. And DC1 has been refusing naps because of teething. So i cant nap then. Will still get gps to print out result for my file, and to check. (When i had ivf op nurse wouldnt write down latest result as i was telling it verbally). So would rather have it if i ever see a consultant.
I presumed my excessive tiredness with dc1 was to do with undiagnosed thyroid that then got worse after the pg but guess its my 1 pg symptom

Fleurchamp · 03/12/2014 17:15

Hi nature congratulations!

I wish I found out later, I was way too impatient and poas as soon as feasibly possible and the past few weeks have dragged. I still have 3 whole weeks to my booking in appointment Shock

smallgreenbanana · 03/12/2014 17:22

Spoke to the doctor on the phone... we agreed I would wait until seeing midwife tomorrow and can always see a doctor then too. Unless things get worse obviously! Fx for me!!!

Number3cometome · 03/12/2014 17:29

Fx banana Flowers

Romeo yep falling asleep at desk!!

Pipbin · 03/12/2014 17:30

Easier said than done Banana but try not to worry. Brown is ok.

EskiDecaff · 03/12/2014 17:37

I've just read back on the thread and someone mentioned diet coke, now I need diet coke and there's none in the house. So I cried ConfusedBlush

Bustherb · 03/12/2014 17:38

Hi everyone, I've not been on for a for a few days. My sickness has changed and now I'm randomly sick anywhere at any time, still having actual morning sickness too. Just been sick while driving home in a bag, very glam Wink xxx

Thepurplegiraffe · 03/12/2014 17:43

Welcome Nature, I started ttc when dd1 was 9 months (mostly due to my age) and got pg when she was about 10.5. Unfortunately I mc but even now I have managed it again she is only 13 months. I'm not even thinking about how we are actually going to cope. Just concentrating on the 9 few months.

Small hope you are doing ok, as everyone says a bit of brown (and even red) is very common, as this bus demonstrates. Always scary though.

I found out yesterday that a lady who sits 2 desks from me has mc at 11 1/2 weeks. I am so sad for her. She doesn't know about me yet so I am really worried about what effect that will have on her when she gets back and finds out. The timing is just awful.
