Just got my bfp today & due 3rd August (or thereabouts!).

frolic I like your positive attitude. I also feel that way except I'm also a penny pincher so I'm struggling to part with my money just yet haha. I was looking at the pink linings change bags because there's a couple in the sale but haven't got round to purchasing one yet. My friend always said she'd buy me one as a baby gift so I mentioned it to her and she said ooh you should get one so I'm guessing she's forgotten she said she'd get me one lol.

dozygirl - I also am suffering cramps, pretty bad at times but had an early scan and everything looked fine. It is reassuring to know i am not alone. Hot water bottle helps.
Still no morning sickness. Don't know if I'm happy or worried!

I'm really worried, after feeling terrible yesterday I perked up and went out, but I had a really achey lower back which I stupidly googled and just kept reading about how it was a sign of miscarriage. I'm not bleeding and I've not had any stomach cramps though. I've just woken up and all the horrible mucus I've has ever since I found out has completely gone which is worrying me even more, as I still have a sore lower back.
Don't really know how I can check everything is still all ok.

Shantotto how far along are you? I'm 9 weeks today and all week my pregnancy symptoms have been easing off. And I've also experienced lower back pain but mainly on my left side. When I was scan yesterday baby was to the left so it all made sense. Try and relax, I know it's hard! If you're still worried make an appointment with your GP on Monday. I know all areas are different we have to be referred to the Early Pregnany Unit, or you might be able to give them a ring directly? With MC I had no dull aches or pains in my back or tummy, just a lack of symptoms during the whole pregnancy then one day a couple of massive cramps, which made me double over. After that I started bleeding.

Thanks D00dles - I'm 9 weeks and two days - spoke to NhS direct and waiting on a call back from a doctor.

I'm sure it'll be fine and I'm just being majorly paranoid but the pain is really worrying me. Need to try and relax! It could just be coincidence that some symptoms have gone while this new one of horrible back pain has started!

I'm officially in double digits! 10 weeks today! And in other good news, my 7 year old bunny has recovered well from having her tumour removed and I get to bring her home today!

shantotto you've done the right thing ringing someone. I'm a bit of a worrier so would probably do the same. My sickness and cramps had really eased the past week, but started up again yesterday. So maybe it could be an up and down thing? Try not to worry too much (easier said than done I know).

As for showing, I think I am just getting a bit podgy! Too much eating and lack of exercise. But it still means I don't really fit in my clothes! Ah well, best get used to it!

isa, the constipation is auful isn't it. I'm drinking lots of prune juice, which tastes horrible but seems to help.

Were you? I'm terrible at remembering names. We didn't try for that long, but I really found the boards supportive during that time. I'm sure this one will be the same.

shan, I hope your cramps feel better soon. I think that calling the Dr was the right move. Hopefully you will have your mind put at rest.
I've had a few stretchy pains, but nothing too bad thank god.

Mine pains are all on the left too dozy. I will try to remember to ask what side the baby is on when I have my scan in a few weeks.
I'm really trying with the positive attitude! Although I do panic whenever my symptoms ease off. It's a no-win situation, isn't it? If I'm sick I feel terrible, but if I'm not sick, I feel terribly worried.
I don't know what those change bags are, will have to look. I'm finding it hard not to look at cute baby things. My Amazon wish list is full already!

I'm really dreading going back to work next week. I'm sleeping at least 9 hours a night and napping loads, but still so tired! God knows how I'll cope!

Seems we all feel pretty similar in terms of worrying over lack of symptoms. I've woken up feeling worried because I've managed not to feel particularly sick all for last three days and with the cramps on and off I start panicking but from the sounds of it we're all experiencing similar things.

shantoto hope u get some answers and that eases your mind a little. Keep us up to date

Anyone else getting really sharp (like OUCH catch your breath sharp) pains in either side? I'm getting them in both sides now if I sneeze, stand up too quick etc. I have Googled and it sounds like stretchy ligament pain (I remember from dcs 1 and 2) but that didn't happen until nearer 12 wks. I'm only 7!

Tooth yeah I get those when I sneeze or cough or move too quickly. Had them quite early on.

Toothache I've had those pains too if I sneeze or roll over/stand up too quickly. Midwife said just ligament pain.

Off for my scan today, exciting!! Hope all is ok, my midwife basically told me off and said I was wasting my money as apparently if I'm still sick I am still pregnant but I thought you could still have symptoms and have lost the baby?!

Ladies - advice please. I'm 10 weeks tomorrow and still haven't heard from a MW for scan or appt! Is it just christmas getting in the way and I should just sit tight? Or should I call up and ask?

I would call them on Monday mzzzf, just to chase up. It's cutting it a bit fine otherwise if your referral has got lost in the system.

Yes the first time I had the ligament pain in the middle of the night I was so scared something was wrong!!

Definitely call and check up about your midwife appointment!

Had my scan and it was amazing! Saw the baby and heartbeat straight away, measured at 8 +1 and I thought I was exactly 8 weeks so that's perfect. Was so worth the money-is it correct that now you've seen the heartbeat the chance of miscarriage drops significantly?

Apparently so ruby. Glad the scan went well. I've got scan envy lol.
Mzzf I'd give them a call if I were u although my letter said it wouldn't be till 11 weeks that I'd get an appointment but I'm thinking that is too long to wait.

Spoke too soon re: nausea. Back again today. Good sign I suppose.

ruby I've read (from my extensive googling) that a heartbeat at 8 weeks has a 98% chance of going full term - that's calmed me down with the random bleeds and brown discharge.

Oddly feel quite awake today, but no idea how I will cope back at work. Maybe I've turned a corner and will start feeling human again!

Mzzzf, definitely ring them on Monday. They might not want to do your booking appt for a while yet, but they should be sorting your dating scan out.

Omg someone PLEASE give me a dose of energy!!! I'm on a 8 day stretch in work on day 7 tomorrow! Dying!

Mu funny story for today I have to share!! My sense of smell is amazing I can smell anything mind makes me feel sick half the time. So I was cooking dinner telling DH this earlier, as I was saying it the fire alarm started going off, opened the oven and smoke billowing out... Turns to me 'well it's not that great is it?!? Didn't smell that did you?!'
Haha. Had to share really tickeled me!

I'm not fittest person anyway but i walked up the hill in work (have to do a lot of walking during my day) but normally I can get up no probs but really struggled today and felt so sick and dizzy afterwards I had to grab something fizzy to sort it. :0( really strange.

Frolic, I saw baby was on the left as that's where she was scanning. She went from one side to the other showing my bladder (more to the right) womb wall over baby and sack, showing a little white blob at the bottom which was the yolk (she explained the plencenta would start maintaining the pregnancy) to the other side of my womb (to check for twins ). All really interesting stuff my DD was on the left too and give me a kidney infection as when she was 25wks plus she still laid all on that side!

Hey all, I was really surprised how good the doc was - politely told me that he's never heard of a miscarriage starting with just severe back pain (thanks a lot for telling me that, internet!) and that it was probably fine but he still arranged for me to have a scan and an out of hours doctors appointment this morning!

Went to Homerton hospital at 9am, of course everything completely fine but they were so nice, I was starting to feel quite silly for taking up there time/ was amazing to have another scan, it's doubled in size and saw a heartbeat again.

The doctor I saw tested a urine sample and there might be a water infection there, need to go back to my GP for another test next week.

I've hardly been able to eat today though, and same yesterday. Threw up the few bites I did manage a little while ago! I'm hungry but I can't eat. Hope this clears up! My DP has been I'll and sick with a virus, so now I'm thinking I might have that as is not been sick really until yesterday. Dreading work on Monday, planned to have a few days relaxing but it's spent either in lots of pain, throwing up or at a hospital!
