I didn't use a belly band last pregnancy but some people swear by them. I just went from normal clothes to maternity ones. I found my maternity jeans so comfy.

I've got my dating scan on 9th Jan. Can't wait to actually know a due date and how far along I am.

CarrotPuff · 31/12/2014 12:00

Congrats Siani and Lily on your early scans. DS screening has to be between 11+2 and 14+1, so it will be just on time for you Lily. Also from what I've read it's hard to measure the embryo early on, so your dates might change again at the dating scan.

Good luck with your scan today Brummie!

cattyf, I don't think they make adjustments based on your cycles, they adjust EDD during the dating scan, as this way it's most accurate. It varies from trust to trust, but if you are too early to have DS screening at your dating scan, I think they offer you another one. I guess you could try and give them a call?

Tiredness is starting to kick in here... Not great when you have a 13mo ball of energy!

otter32 · 31/12/2014 12:38

northern and frolic thanks for the tips! I'm going to get some prune juice today!

toothache they are a stretchy material that go over the top of your pants/jeans etc to help when you're inbetween normal clothes and mat clothes. I'm off to topshop to get some today as they're supposed to be pretty handy. I've got a bit podgy so my clothes get quite tight in the afternoons! Will let me undo my buttons without looking ridiculous hopefully!

Brummiegirl15 · 31/12/2014 12:51

Hi all. I will be leaving this thread unfortunately. 8+5 today and had follow up scan. Baby has died. There was no heartbeat this time. Sac still intact but that's it. Got ERPC scheduled for Friday morning.

Absolutely devastated. 3rd time in a row and we even saw a heartbeat this time.

I wish you all safe, happy uneventful boring pregnancies.

daisysunshine2 · 31/12/2014 13:05

Not up to much posting today. I'm so nauseous and am vomitting everything that passes my lips. I even woke up in the night to be sick.
Happy new year to you all Smile

So sorry Brummie what sad news.

I am 9wks today and still feeling shite. Mother has told me she felt happy joyful and serene when she was preggars. Thanks for that. Its like she thinks there's something wrong with me for feeling so dire, or that I'm putting it on or something!

otter32 · 31/12/2014 16:16

Oh brummie I'm so sorry. That's terrible. Look after yourself. Sending lots of love Flowers

ChanceBeAFineThing · 31/12/2014 16:16

Brummie how heartbreaking for you. I hope you get looked after and get some answers in 2015. X

nannynome · 31/12/2014 16:28

Flowers Brummie and virtual hugs, so sorry for your results.

DH and I have spent the day getting things done having sent 12 month old DS to nursery as I am exhausted. Decided to treat ourselves to a meal without feeding/entertaining DS, at which point, 3 mouthfuls in, jellybean decided it was time for morning sickness again Hmm
Then got the news that DS has been referred for speech therapy and another hearing test so am now panicking that we have bitten off more than we can chew with a new baby in August. Sad Hopefully we can cope with everything that is going to be thrown at us.

ruby242 · 31/12/2014 17:57

So sorry brummie, I really sympathise and hope that next time is the one that lasts. Is unfair sometimes isn't it but stay strong

Been a while since I've checked in here, was struggling a lot with the sickness but now seem to mainly get it mornings with trapped wind stomach pain in the evenings! But at least means during most of the day I've been sort of ok (except for the tiredness!!)

Normally sleep really well but have been waking up a lot recently for some reason, don't know if that's pregnancy related?

Have booked a early scan for Saturday (8 weeks) so fingers crossed for a heartbeat!

Having a quiet new years eve here with some takeaway and an early night probably haha anyone doing anything exciting?

nannynome · 31/12/2014 18:23

The waking up thing is very common, one theory is that your body is prepping you for the sleep pattern changes with a newborn to feed. I have found fresh lime squeezed into still or fizzy water has helped with my nausea.

We will be in bed asleep before midnight Grin

ILoveYouBaby · 31/12/2014 19:49

my dd is poorly and won't let me leave her side so I'm going to have a fun nye looking after her and not getting any sleep for the third night in a row.

Pregnancy insomnia is a bitch. I had it in my last pregnancy and it seemed so unfair when dd turned out to not be a sleeper. I'm hoping and praying this baby will sleep better.

Emb540 · 31/12/2014 21:09

Brummie I am so sorry to hear Sad xxxx

Well early night for me totally wiped out! Happy new year Wine < lemonade lol

Luciferbox · 31/12/2014 21:49

xBlueberry88x · 31/12/2014 23:40

so sorry to read your news Brummie take some time for yourself plenty of wine and cake

iamhopeful · 01/01/2015 07:59

So sorry Brummie, sending a huge hug.

We are with family my parents know but thats it, I found staying up last night so hard. Felt so sick by 11.30 and then when I got to bed i couldnt sleep. Am now up with dd, half of me wishes we'd stayed at home and just had an early night. i keep reminding myself this tiredness doesn't last forever

Luciferbox · 01/01/2015 08:10

In impressed that you managed to stay away until that time imso. I crawled into bed at 9.30 and even that was too late for me. When do we start feeling normal again? I'm supposed to be going to the pub tonight with my extended family but I know I'll want to go home by 9. They don't know yet. I'm telling them later.

D00dles · 01/01/2015 08:13

Is anyone else looking pregnant? I definitely have a round run tum! My DH even commented that I'd struggle hiding my bump at work when I return on Monday. I even look at it thinking 9weeks? Really?! I remember being similar with DD so maybe it's just how I carry babies... Hmm

D00dles · 01/01/2015 08:14

Round tum! Sorry!
