Well would love to say he kissed my ass and did everything yesterday to make up for it.... Nope didn't move off the sofa!! I Took kids to cinema get out of his way. Grrr men

Today is first day I don't feel bloated!! Yesterday was awful I felt 6 months pregnant. Back in work today be interesting to see if I can still get in my uniform.

Talking about dreams I am dreaming like mad & I am a nightmare at the moment I am so horny all the time. DH is loving it! (Even when I was trying to be mad at him yesterday!) any opportunity I am grabbing him. Don't know what's gotten into me, oth DDs I totaly went off it.

Really not looking forward to work today and I am work late will be on my knees by end of the day :0(

Sparrowlegs248 · 29/12/2014 10:06

Bless you emb I don't envy you being at work. I go back next Monday, its 12hrs out of the house for me, Mon - Fri and I know i am going to struggle.

DH has gone to feed the horses for me and get a few bits of shopping while I Veg out at home. I need to start training him to do more household stuff, he is a bit clueless and I am a bit 'control freak'. So usually end up doing everything.

What do you all do about cooking? I do all of it here. Just seems easier!

nannynome · 29/12/2014 10:29

I tend to do batch cooking and freeze some. FIL is visiting today so I have a red cabbage casserole on the go with lamb hotpot, just need to do the potatoes. I did loads of batch cooking at end of last pregnancy and froze it all so we had about 10 days worth of meals so I didn't have to think with a new born. Am going to have to do it again this time as DS is a voracious eater and we will need enough for the three of us. Luckily this time I have a second freezer.

DH is being wonderful again, I have MIL to thank for it, she brought him up brilliantly to do all the housework and everything in times of need. He nursed her through 2 hip replacements and is being wonderful when I am rubbish and unable to move.

On the upside my sinusitis is behaving today! On the down side bacon makes me feel sick Sad

D00dles · 29/12/2014 10:57

Hi ladies hope you all had a wonderful Christmas. Sorry to hear you're all feeling rough, I've been ok the past few days but I've been waking up in the middle of the night and been sick. Twice last night and the night before - strange! I've also been exhausted, I feel sorry for my DD who has a zombie for a Mummy at the moment. Also having very weird dreams, the other night I was in the Spanish Inquisition, haha!
Nottalotta, I also have two horses one who usually events and one who does BSJA, luckily both my mum and sister ride so they help out loads! waves at fellow horsey person Grin

Sparrowlegs248 · 29/12/2014 11:16

Ooh Doodles how wonderful to have family who ride! I have three, retired (age 33....) t.b. driving pony and the idiot Welsh. The Welsh is a special case bless him, not sure I could find someone to ride him. My competitive days are long gone (no evening for me - showing!) so that's not an issue, but would be nice to keep him ticking over. Do you plan to still ride? If my old tb was young again I would have no problems riding him, but the Welsh is rather.....unreliable!

xBlueberry88x · 29/12/2014 11:49

Morning Ladies,

Just booked in my first midwife appointment for Saturday feeling nervous actually!!

Nanny It was me who mentioned olbas oil, it was the chemist who told me to use it so im going with that! To be fair I have the kiddies one so its not very strong and it helped alot!!

I wish I had horses I love them sooo much, we have pet rats and they have the most enormous cage that I have to put my entire top of body through the door to clean. This is not going to be possible fairly soon and my dp wont do it for me. Im going to have to buy them a new cage thats raised up and thinner so easier to clean!!

Hip pain is back again today hope this doesnt carry on the whole pregnancy its really not comfortable!!

D00dles · 29/12/2014 12:39

I know I was excited to see you chatting about horses! Sad I know! Unfortunately both of mine are 8, my eventer is having some time off due to injury and is only on walk work, which I'm currently doing. She's a big irish girl so despite being on box rest for a few months is very safe, she gets a bit strong that's all! My mum will mainly hack her and maybe do some showing this year. My other one I have a sharer to continue competitions and my sister rides him, sounds like your welsh (he's welsh DxTB) and is very unpredictable! And not the type you can give time off too! I'm hoping for an early August baby to catch the last few summer shows I managed it with my DD but because I breast fed it was really uncomfortable!
Blueberry, rats! You're crazy they frighten the life out of me Shock brave, brave woman!

xBlueberry88x · 29/12/2014 12:49

D00dles Haha seriously they are the cutest cleanest animals, Ive had various ones over the years but most people dont like them!!

Sparrowlegs248 · 29/12/2014 13:39

Give DH his due, he has taken over kitten care (litter tray cleaning.....) since I told him midwife said the one thing i SHOULD NOT do is the litter tray. And he's on horse duty today. So far I have had a bath. Had some cheese on toast. Laid in bed. Its unusual for me.

Trouble with the Welsh isDoodles is that he was cut late and can be a real sod. He gets all aggressive and shit if he's bored. I'd love to find him a loan home really but I think its unlikely with his various issues.

Rats blue are there any issues with them and the cleaning?

Soooo tired.

Sparrowlegs248 · 29/12/2014 13:44

Meant to ask - have any of you decided what to do about DS screening at the 12wk scan? We have decided, after much reading, not to have it. It all seems very vague.30% of high risk are missed by the test. If i got high risk, i wouldn't go on to have the diagnostic test. I wouldn't be having a termination so there seems little point. I seem pretty unusual in these thoughts though? Anyone else?

ChanceBeAFineThing · 29/12/2014 14:12

I've always declined DS test notta as I'm Catholic and wouldn't stop a pregnancy for that reason.

In other news got my maternity jeans out the loft and am in them. Oh the relief! A lot of it is bloating, but the definite bump has popped out of my pelvic bone at 9 weeks today.

NatalieBee · 29/12/2014 16:32

Still fluttering between August and September group till my early scan on 8th! Yesterday afternoon i had (tmi) light brown staining when I wiped then it went away and I just had another wee bit about 24 hours later! Trying not to worry but easier said than done eh? Just curious as to if it's happened to anyone else? I'm around 6weeks!

Brummiegirl15 · 29/12/2014 16:51

notta I'm having the nuchal test done and then I will guess I see how high my risk is then go from there....

If it's low risk then no need for other tests. If high risk, then I don't know is honest answer

Dozygirl · 29/12/2014 17:45

Natalie I had that for about 5 days when I was 5 weeks. Freaked the heck out of me but then it stopped and I've had nothing since. Might just be some old blood working it's way out.

NatalieBee · 29/12/2014 18:15

I hope so Dozy! I'm worried because this is how my mc started last time! But it appears to have stopped for the night again :/ very strange! I've left a message on EPAU so hopefully my scan gets pushed forward Shock

Isabeau1980 · 29/12/2014 18:43

Natalie I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.

Luciferbox · 29/12/2014 18:58

Hope everything is ok Natalie. I've been worried as I thought my symptoms had dulled, only for them to come back twice as strong. I feel so green and just want to sleep. I have no idea how I'm going to cope when I go back to work.

nannynome · 29/12/2014 19:05

Crossing fingers for you here as well Natalie.

Blueberry, if your hips stay sore try to get some physio sorted, it was the hardest thing in my last pregnancy, I had SPD due to a wonky fractured pelvis from a riding accident in my teens. Physio kept me (mostly) mobile last time, that and using a birthing ball as a seat at work, I did get a lot of stupid comments as well due to working in a very male environment!

toothachereturns · 29/12/2014 19:32

Hi all. Another horsey person here! Don't have my own horse yet... I was planning on getting one on loan when I found out I was pg this month! My kids ride though so I still have time at the stables. Smile

Fingers crossed Natalie. A few ladies on here have had brown spotting. I think it's fairly common. Smile

I was back at work today. Felt diabolical. So sick. Working from home tomorrow then off until the 5th. Of its anything like last 2 pgs I'll be worse by next week! Sad

xBlueberry88x · 29/12/2014 20:11

Notta Ive googled it but there doesnt seem to be a consensus either way so im using gloves etc and washing my hands loads
Im not getting the ds test it doesnt bother me im my kid had ds id still love them no matter what!

Nanny I have a double curvature of the spine ( as you look at me from the front im an s shape) so im wonky. I have back, knees, shoulder and sometimes hip pain normally I expect itll get worse!

Isabeau1980 · 29/12/2014 20:57

Lighthearted question here but is anyone else getting sick of the taste of Gaviscon? Xmas Envy

NatalieBee · 29/12/2014 21:00

Isabeau most defiantly! I'm drinking the stuff like wager at the moment haha ??

NatalieBee · 29/12/2014 21:00

Water*

Isabeau1980 · 29/12/2014 21:05

I'm currently using the tablets and it's getting to the point where if I have to see another one I won't be responbible for what I do.

We do have the liquid but I'm not the biggest fan of it. Looks like I'll have to just go with it.

mzzzf · 29/12/2014 21:52

Ladies I feel your pain. I'm suffering an awful sore throat / cough combo which added to my baby tiredness means that work today was a real 'mare. I work on a really busy ward and needed to 'chain- suck' halls soothers to get through my shift. My sugar levels must be bananas!!!

Had to take some paracetamol today as it go too much, however, I'm getting to the point of boredom with honey and lemon. However, I'm fortunate that DH is being a real sweetheart.

Almost time for a day off on Thursday!!!
