I'm going to leave. What started as brown spotting is turning into light watery blood. I've got really bad cramps to go with it, and I know in my waters that it's not going to happen.
Best of luck to everyone else x

otter32 · 26/11/2014 19:05

allchat it could still be implantation? Have you spoken to the midwife yet? Might be worth giving them a call?

Brummiegirl15 · 26/11/2014 19:26

Oh allchat I'm so sorry. I've been there twice so I know how you must be feeling.

Look after yourself x

Redcandle · 26/11/2014 19:34

Hello all, just joining now. Got my bfp yesterday. Have been trying for 18 months so am delighted. Am 42 so thought I may have missed the boat ( have one ds 4).
Loopy I have a question about early scans. Do they do the checks for abnormalities a hey would in the usual Nhs scan at 12 weeks? I am considering as I am older and slightly anxious due to this. Do you need to be referred by a gp or just book it yourself?

Brummiegirl15 · 26/11/2014 20:10

Hi redcandle re the early scans they are normally just for viability so they are looking for the fetal pole or the heartbeat rather than anything else.

Some places you can self refer, others you need the GP or midwife to do it. I'm currently under Birmingham and you can't self refer - but I move to Worcester next week and you can self refer there if you have a reason (such as previous mc) so all depends!!!

Congrats on your long awaited BFP!

allchatnicknamesgone · 26/11/2014 20:13

It's not implantation. Cramping is constant and quite bad. I can tell my body is trying to expel it. Implantation would come and go.
I'm heart broken. We've been trying since may 2013. I had a failed ivf cycle last month, so this was a complete little miracle. I really wonder why life had to be so cruel. I wish I'd never tested in the first place.

Good luck everyone. brummie so hope this is your time. X

Mummytogoldie · 26/11/2014 21:06

Hi I did a bfp, according to my calculations due 4th August. I am very scared , I don't do pregnancy well with my 2 dd I had pre-eclampsia, gestational diabetes and blood clots, I have had 2 c-sections. Baby no 3 is with a different partner x I have also had 2 mc between my 2 dd, one at 5 weeks and 1 at 8 weeks so am incredibly nervous :/ I got into on Saturday but haven't dared to ring go yet :/

Mummytogoldie · 26/11/2014 21:06

Ring gp not go x

Mummytogoldie · 26/11/2014 21:11

Omg my typing is terrible. The last line should read I got my bfp Saturday but haven't dared ring the gp yet Confused

Glitterrascal · 26/11/2014 21:32

Hiya all! I'm half wondering am I insane joining this group as it doesn't seem even slightly real yet ?? I was a casual 'member' of the pregvember bus and would say I'm in deep shock at the moment. Stats are 28, TTC #1, BFP on Sunday past. Suspect I'm due (if all goes to plan) 5th August...mad even writing this down?!!

Is everyone else just feeling this is crazy??! Or is it just me!! I can't think straight ??

nannynome · 26/11/2014 21:33

Hey everyone! can I join in too, just got a BFP with 1-2 weeks for #2 so 3rd august? DS is 11 months and we had only just started trying as it would fit in with my project schedules in work Blush

Last time I had gestational diabetes, SPD and was rhesus neg too Smile here we go again!! 2 under 2, we must be insane!

Cake to those who need it and yay!

Glitterrascal · 26/11/2014 21:33

Ps it's lovely to have all you girls in the same boat as me as I'm sure the vast majority of us have told noone beyond DH/DPs, feels like a secret exclusive club ??

Guyropes · 26/11/2014 21:45

All chat... I'm so sorry to hear that it's not happening for you this time, and wish you all the luck in the world for next time, or for making peace... It's so hard when your hopes are so high.

Guyropes · 26/11/2014 21:52

Hi, lots of new peeps!

Yes, glitter rascals, this is somewhere we can talk about it... Not going to be telling anyone else for a short while.

Called in at the gp today... Was glad it was quiet as the receptionist asked a bunch of questions and asked me to give a urine sample. Apparently the midwife will phone me with an appointment for a home visit some time in the next couple if weeks.

mrsfazruns · 26/11/2014 22:14

So nice to see everyone feeling the same anxious excitement! Beginning to drive myself mad googling every little detail!! I'm spotting brown discharge but no pains or anything with it so keeping everything crossed!!! Feels too early but the seed has already decided it doesn't like eggs or apples .... Nausea well and truly arrived x

LoopyLa · 27/11/2014 06:59

allchat I'm really sorry to hear this, please be kind to yourself x

Shantotto · 27/11/2014 07:40

Oh allchat, how awful. Take care of yourself Flowers

Has anyone had an early scan before? I'm considering it as considering telling both sets if parents over Christmas, which would be coming up to 8 weeks.

They live in the outer Hebrides so we don't see then face to face much. I know bad things can happen at anytime but u thought of we could at least it seems ok so far I'd feel better about telling them.

Also, I'd have to go the day before I hit 7 weeks due to travelling, is this too early? Some places say from 6 buy others from 7 weeks. Other than having some lightheadedness earlier this week and crying over a boardgame last week I've had no symptoms. I can't believe I am really pregnant! Confused

gakay · 27/11/2014 08:26

allchat I'm really sorry. I can't imagine what it's like for you going through this loss. Take care x

shantotto Am also thinking about an early scan because of Xmas. Thought people would guess I'm pg anyway and after early MC last time I don't want to give anyone false hope. Where are you getting yours? Although I can self-refer to my local EPAU, I feel guilty to use NHS resources.

Still haven't contacted GP or self-refer to midwife for booking. Worried that they would think I'm crazy

mrsb0710 · 27/11/2014 08:46

28, cycle 1, BFP #1 yesterday! All really really new to me and my family is in Australia. Didn't ever think this would happen so soon! Still spinning really. Have had dizziness, nausea and cramps - which are worrying me a bit. But I'm due around 7 august, so maybe early implant cramps???
Where to next? GP appointment? Have told mine and hubby's mum for now until we're more established. Excited /nervous!

Shantotto · 27/11/2014 08:51

Congrats gakay! I'm not sure where yet - somewhere in London, but I'll be 7 weeks when I travel to Scotland for Christmas which is when they can pick up a heartbeat apparently so I'm tempted to hop off the train and get one done up there!

Daveface · 27/11/2014 16:21

Hi

I got my BFP this morning but I'm still 3 days early and had a miscarriage last month (at about 6 weeks) so I'm still holding my breath.

This will be DC 3. Due 7th August.

I don't know who mentioned it but I'm having white discharge too and have googled, it appears it could be early pregnancy symptom.

nannynome · 27/11/2014 16:30

Hey, congrats, holding breath for you too. Sorry am in work so can't stick around but wanted to say Hi Smile

Mummytogoldie · 27/11/2014 16:51

Just read the full thread x All chat how sad , hope all is ok :( I plucked up.the courage to phone the community midwife today and no one answered the phone lol. So I guess I will ring tomorrow. Do they give early scans after 2 miscarriages?

Guyropes · 27/11/2014 17:13

Congratulations to mrsb and Dave!

I am also doing constant knicker checking... Such an anxious time really, and feeling so up and down; terrified and over the moon!

I have got straight onto the gp surgery because I want to have a 12 week scan, and I'm worried that if I leave it a long time I'll struggle to get an appointment in the right time frame for the scan.

I was phoned by the midwife earlier and she's made an appointment for 3 weeks time, and checked which hospital I want, so should be in plenty of time.
