Yes, I have popped out this week. Is DC number 3 so it's all let go at 9 weeks this time.

I went to bed last night at half 8, the tiredness is killing me too. But at least today I can legitimately do nothing - is my birthday Grin

AliOh · 01/01/2015 10:03

Hi everyone! Feels like I haven't posted in aaaages! Hope you all had a fab xmas and happy 2015 to you all! I got booked in with the midwife on Monday - same midwife that delivered DS! And should get a scan next week as they are going by the date of my last period so all go here Grin right im off to catch up on all the thread that I've missed!

Dozygirl · 01/01/2015 11:24

Well i managed to party till the early hours and was up at 6 for a 13 hour shift at work today. Gonna hit in the afternoon I reckon.

Found out out last night my friend is also pregnant but just 5 days behind me, how amazing is that. I'm so chuffed for her and excited to have someone going through exact same things as me. Except she doesn't feel sick yet haha. I felt sick all yesterday but I think getting up and going out and socialising helped distract me from it a bit. Not feeling as bad today at work but it's not busy so I'm sat down a lot. 2 more shifts to get through then I'm going on holiday whoohoo.

Happy new year everyone!

nannynome · 01/01/2015 13:02

Happy birthday chance we have been out for a walk this morning so am now collapsed on the sofa tired out! Slipped in the mud and gave myself a bit of scare, am paranoid about falls as I am rhesus neg and this is my second baby. DS is meant to be having a nap but is wide awake, thank goodness for DH keeping him entertained! Happy New Year everyone!

Lilydreams · 01/01/2015 13:51

Don't think I'm showing as such but am so bloated and upset stomach feeling all the time so I'm letting it all hang out where I'd usually suck it in so looking podgier definitely! Grin

Dozy where are you off on holiday? I go on Sunday and can't wait but have found myself paranoid abit about what if I need medical attention whilst away- have spent the past 2 hours renewing my e111 card, checking my insurance covers maternity stuff and googling and screen shotting info of medical centres near where we are staying! Is it just me?!

Didn't go anywhere last night as dh in work early today so we were in bed for 11pm but I then had to get up and sit with the tv on loud for and hour till 1am as the dogs were going bananas at the fireworks and dh was going mad that he would be tired for work! Chaos!

Stayed in bed late this morning to catch up that sleep- resulted in me having not eaten for far too long and once I was up violently chucking up bile! No more lie ins for me!! Confused

LAM1 · 01/01/2015 18:08

You girls love to talk!!

Sorry Brummie, hope you are being well looked after. Wishing you all the best!

Have once again been away from here for a bit as I had the biggest bleed yet last week and have been awaiting another scan. Because of christmas and all the bank holidays I have had to wait, nothing sooner on nhs or private. But after what seemed like the longest week I have ever known baby is all fine, can see legs moving around now too. So fingers crossed for no more bleeding.

When does the constant need for sleep stop?! Please tell me it's soon!! No idea how I am going to function back at work next week

Dozygirl · 01/01/2015 18:24

lily is this the skiing holiday you're going on? I'm going Egypt. Been before but we go kitesurfing but I'm not very good at it so will be giving that a miss and just chilling on a sunbed haha.

lam nice to see u back and glad scan went well. I can't imagine how terrifying it is having bleeds. I know it does happen and things are fine but it would terrify me.

I worry enough that I'm gonna get to the scan and there's not gonna be a baby there especially as I've not felt as nauseous today. Haven't been sick either so that's a good thing but it worries me not having symptoms haha.

Tiredness as well. I totally get that. All I wanna do is sleep sleep and sleep. I feel s I lazy but might as well make the most of it because next time I have one I'll have another child to contend with.

Emb540 · 01/01/2015 18:59

I am most def showing!! Struggling to hide it! I caught myself in the toilet mirror today sideways and thought oh crap.... Not going to be able to hide this much longer!! I can't pass it off as eaten too much over Xmas as it's a proper bump Confused
I know by 12 weeks with DD2 I was struggling to hide it, it's even sooner this time. Eeek

I nearly dropped myself in it today in work, I could smell the most awful smell all day and was making me heave, but no one else could smell it they kept saying sure your pregnant.... Just hoping my theory of my new, new year super powers worked haha

Sooo tired but I am working a long 9 day stretch in work doing 10 hour days, but being this drained also is killing me had a few comments today how pale I am, time for fake tan I think!!

Lam glad all is ok!!

Still nothing from MW Hmm

em165 · 01/01/2015 19:25

Happy New Year everyone!

I had a call from the midwife today and have an appointment for Wednesday. I need to ask work for time off for it and would rather be honest about why so will have to tell the headteacher on Monday morning. I'm worried it wont go down too well!

I keep getting pains in my hips especially after i've been walking a lot or first thing in the morning when I get out of bed. Not sure if its too early to be pregnancy related?? (9 weeks tomorrow)

toothachereturns · 01/01/2015 21:43

Evening all! Glad all is well LAM. Smile

You girls that are showing must be thin to start with lol. I'm a size 14 and have had a tummy since ds and dd so no one will notice anything different until I'm about 14weeks when the podgy tummy just becomes firmer. Grin

I'm fine as long as I don't do anything. Not looking forward to work on Monday!

Happy new year. SmileSmileSmile

Dozygirl · 02/01/2015 08:40

I'm just getting fat but it's definitely not baby yet at 8 weeks today. I know it's purely down to all the crap I've eaten over christmas. I always put weight on every Christmas without fail. I'm annoyed though because of going on holiday so I'm gonna look like a whale without a baby bump as an excuse just yet. Food takes the nausea away though, I just need to find some healthier food to snack on. I'm armed with grapes today for work.

LAM1 · 02/01/2015 08:59

The only thing that stops me feeling sick is bread or crackers, fruit just doesn't do it. I haven't gained any weight yet but do feel less toned in the stomach. No exercise for 5 weeks and a load of bread is the cause! Want to get back exercising but have no energy for that at the moment, type of exercise will have to change too I suspect....although the midwife has said I can continue as before I don't fancy running in the cold and ice!

For those about to go on holiday what are your thoughts on flying? The 2 midwives I have seen this week said there is no specific risk but am a little worried with the bleeding.

cattyf · 02/01/2015 10:40

I thought I was one of the lucky ones avoiding the sickness but the past couple of days it's arrived! I find toast helps and peppermint tea. Yesterday I also had terrible heartburn all day, thought that didn't start until much later on!! I feel your pain Dozygirl I also put on weight over Christmas, my jeans feel tight but nothing to do with the baby just yet :)

D00dles · 02/01/2015 11:30

Em165 I'm a teacher too and told my school before Christmas. It's better they know so they can advice you if things like slap cheek and chicken pox are at school. As you'd need to contact your MW to see if you should continue working.
It's definitely a bump, round and hard even when I lay on my back it pops up! Yes, usually I'm a size 8 but I think it's just I carry like that. A friend, who's 20weeks, who's tiny carries down in her hips and she hardly looks pregnant!

I have my early scan today so wish me luck!

Isabeau1980 · 02/01/2015 11:48

Best of luck with your scan D00dles

Kinda like LAM1 I don't think I have a belly yet but I definitely feel less toned. I've been a little anxious about running on ice too.

Frolicacid · 02/01/2015 12:34

Hi everyone!!

I can't believe some of you have bumps already! I'm quite envious. I have lost about 5lbs since my BFP, so look less podgy than usual. the only bonus of sickness. I did order some maternity jeans in the sales though. £16 for two pairs from next was too good not to. I believe more in positive thinking than anything about tempting fate by preparing early.

How is everyone feeling? My vomitting and nausea seemes better some days and then really bad other days. The constipation is constant and horrible.

I've had my midwife booking appt for Friday the 16th. We've also booked a private scan for the 18th. I'll be & weeks by then. It's all suddenly starting to feel very real.

Frolicacid · 02/01/2015 12:35

Whoops!! & weeks = 8 weeks

em165 · 02/01/2015 13:16

Thanks doodles, thats a good point. I only joined the school in September and although I know the headteacher will probably be lovely about it I can't help but feel nervous!

LAM- I went to New York over Christmas, had no problems at all with flying and was reassured that it was fine. For the first time ever, I actually managed to sleep for most of the flight too!

Isabeau1980 · 02/01/2015 13:22

Oh God Frolic the constipation. My plan is to stock up on some pineapple juice and plain chocolate.

I think I remember you from the TTC threads.

Shantotto · 02/01/2015 13:26

Ugh, thought I was doing ok with just nausea for most of the day but this morning I was sick twice - just horrid mucus. Lying on my back seemed to trigger that.

I usually eat tons to help the sickness but I've only managed a few berries and a half a digestive and when I tilted my head a bit I got another urge and threw up that tiny bit I'd managed to eat!

I'm feeling it's all the extra phlegm / mucus that's making me sick, I can just feel it constantly in my throat. My nose isn't blocked apart from at night. Any ideas on what can help with this?

I know there are saline nasal sprays you can get but does that help with the stuff around my throat too?!

MariaEllen82 · 02/01/2015 18:02

Hi all, I'm new to this so don't know the lingo yet, apologies. I'm 8weeks and due 12th August. Been a bit scared to join the discussion but it's all feeling more real now so here I am. We're really chuffed about it all but I'm dreading going back to work- I don't know how I'm going to get on with the constant tiredness and desperate hunger. I only started my new job four weeks ago so I don't think they'll be too pleased!

D00dles · 02/01/2015 19:36

Hey ladies, I had my early scan today baby had a strong heart beat and is almost bang on my dates (2days earlier) I'm so happy after a miscarriage last year Grin

toothachereturns · 02/01/2015 19:55

Hi Maria! I share your work dread for next week. Confused

Excellent news Doodles! news How exciting! I have my early scan on 13th Jan.... very scared and excited. Grin Confused

D00dles · 02/01/2015 20:49

I hope it goes well toothache!

Dozygirl · 02/01/2015 21:43

em New York you lucky thing. I'd love to go there.

Glad the scan went well d00dles

Cramps today similar to what I had at the beginning. Could be because I'm around 8 weeks so would be coming up for having a period if I wasn't upduffed or so I've read anyway. They're not too painful so I'm not worried. Just something else to add to symptoms heehee.
