Purple I'm 36 too. Oh my aching bones.

Sdyer fingers crossed for you.

StoneBaby · 19/11/2014 17:45

banana you can say you had a belly bug.

Saw the nurse today for blood test and since I had DS the rules have changed and I should see a mw at 9w. So it'll be Christmas week - but as we're away I'm not sure when I'll see her.

I'll be 36 when this one will be born.

I don't like marmite but can eat lots of salty popcorns.

want how thoughfull of you. I would agree for announcing it to her in writting. It will permit her to digest it before she speaks to you.

247babyonthebrain · 19/11/2014 17:46

Welcome to a the newbies! Wow thst took a while to read through from last night. want you are def doing the right thing and i think as long as you are taking her feelings into consideration then theres not much else you can do.

I had a nose bleed this morning. No nausea or sore boobs but do feel quite tired...so much so my friend at worked asked me outright if i was pregnant. Couldnt lie so had to say yes! But she promises to kerp it top secret !

Pipbin · 19/11/2014 18:14

Thank you ladies.
I did say 'they' but there is only one.

It's nice to be sharing a potential date with someone and see if symptoms match up.

smallgreenbanana · 19/11/2014 18:22

virtual Poor DH - he made an effort! Wink

What I can stomach changes almost daily but the Marmite seems to be a winner! I'm also loving lemon, ginger, tomato, cheese, bacon, porridge. I expected to be only on "beige" foods at the moment, but I'm still feeling the love for salads and raw fruit. Interspersed with Marmite on toast of course!!

Completely off coffee and tea (even decaf) and artificial sweeteners in anything -- probably for the best.

DH told me I have a super power because my sense of smell is so sensitive. I thought that was quite nice! Grin

broodylicious · 19/11/2014 18:23

little, I remember you too, congrats on your good newsSmile Aaaaand we have the same edd!!! Yay!!! Fx for stickies this time Thanks

small, are you a yoga fan normally? I did preggo yoga when I was expecting dd and it was fantastic. Really helped with the labour and birth. You just need to be careful that any yoga you do now is especially for preggos as some of the stances are not appropriate with a growing bean and need to be adapted to safer alternativesSmile

Littlelady33 · 19/11/2014 18:24

Ah pip was getting over excited there I love twins! I guess it's too early to know if there are any on this thread. For those ladies who have DC already - I'll be able to get a scan at 8 or 9 weeks before Xmas. Following that if things are ok would you say I'd be safe ishto tell family? Following my MC is so scary - but only got to six weeks last time

Littlelady33 · 19/11/2014 18:25

Thanks broody and yep fx!

smallgreenbanana · 19/11/2014 18:53

broody I am a bit out of practice but thought yoga was ok. Then just looked online and found you're not supposed to do any stances at all during the first trimester just in case!!? I'm going mad not doing any exercise and my back is much better when I exercise. Surely I'm allowed to exercise?Confused Sad sigh

misseskimo · 19/11/2014 18:56

Littlelady33 I very rarely drink, and NEVER drank the week leading upto O and during the 2ww. But this cycle was the one where we got told by Dr's that DH had a 1% active sperm count and that there was a very small chance we could conceive naturally, so were being referred for fertility treatment... So we went out and got some alcohol as you do and had quite a few drinks over the course of the 2ww thinking there was no way we had conceived again and that we should just let go for once... And low and behold that was the month we got a BFP! Still making me nervous, but hoping it was too early to make any differences!

WantToGoingTo · 19/11/2014 19:19

little lady I asked my mum (an ob-gyn) yest the same thing as am planning on getting scanned at 8+6 and she said risk of mc after 8/9w is down to 3% (it is 15% before then) so you shoul be fine to tell! :)

VirtualPointyHat · 19/11/2014 19:23

small he is poor man, and before I got PG would have loved it!

He is being super kind, when he found out bump will hve a heatbeat by now if all is well, he said that makes me technically a time lord, having two hearts beating inside me.

Such a sweetie

Littlelady33 · 19/11/2014 19:34

Misseskimo thanks! They do say that some alcohol can help conception as you relax more maybe that helped on your case! I'm sure it was to early to be a worry and it was such a small amount... Most women without obsessively using Frer would never have known. Thanks for the stats want I guess I should be ok to tell over Christmas by that reckoning, very exciting!

UltimateDuck · 19/11/2014 19:37

Wow this thread moves fast.

Overtired I'm in Bromley, did I see further up thread that's where you're from too? Always good to have a local buddy.

No real symptoms for me yet. My boobs are staying stubbornly small.

Isn't it strange to think that one or more of us could be expecting twins (or triplets - eek!) but have no idea yet.

smallgreenbanana · 19/11/2014 19:37

virtual That's great! We're time lords with super powers!!

smallgreenbanana · 19/11/2014 19:39

ultimate there are twins in my mother's family... Shock

Littlelady33 · 19/11/2014 19:41

Twins in mine too... But they were Irish Catholics with so many children they were probably bound to have the odd set, statistically.

twinky12 · 19/11/2014 19:42

Love the new thread title. Just been catching up.

sdyer I hope all is well with u, try to stay positive I know easier said than done. FX for u and the bean hope its a sticky 1.

I'm 31 will be 32 when due if all goes well. Been wiped out with aches, pains, twitch's and I somehow have gained at least 7 lbs lol And im so tired. Enjoying reading all your ladies convos have a had a few giggles.

JoY007 · 19/11/2014 19:52

Hello All, did I hear that Yoga isn't safe in first trimester? Not stopped my yoga session Shock since finding out. That said I am struggling to understand the reason for it being unsafe.

broodylicious · 19/11/2014 19:57

Yeah small, we couldn't start on preggo yoga til 14 weeks Hmm you're ok to carry on with exercising you've done regularly as your body will be used to it though.

little, we won't be telling anyone til the 12 week scan and even then it'll just be close friends and family until after the anomaly scan at 20 weeks. To anyone else, we may sound overly cautious but unfortunately as you sadly know, mc ruins naivety and as it wasn't until 12 weeks that I mc, I just can't tempt fate.

TouchPauseEngage · 19/11/2014 20:06

Hello everyone, this talk of twins is scary now. I have a bump. It's from my ribs all the way down and it's hard. I know it's almost certainly bloat but God what if it's not! I look about 14 weeks. my mum thinks I've got my dates wrong and am a month ahead Shock

WantToGoingTo · 19/11/2014 20:22

Haha touch oh no! How many weeks are you? Must be gas - I am sure bumps don't tart at ribs do they? I am def bloated my trousers are tight not from eating too much food,oh no

OP posts:
TouchPauseEngage · 19/11/2014 20:36

Well I am certainly gassy so I'm pretty sure it's that! I'm 8 weeks tomorrow, though according to MW I'm 8+2 Hmm.

All my work clothes are very fitted so I need to go shopping I think. Was hoping to keep it from work till 5 months but not sure that will be possible!

naty1 · 19/11/2014 20:40

Fundal height charts - its at belly button at about 20wks.

I had 2 embryos put back. 1 was better than the other. So in theory 1/4 or 1/5 chance of twins. But in reality unlikely (apparently more likely if you are above 5'5 and im not)

naty1 · 19/11/2014 20:48

Nobody noticed at work till over 5-6m. I get really cold and have large jumpers. Though ivf causes bad bloating till the ovaries go down.

Im a size 10 but guess my chest was hiding any bump.
Constipation will make you bloated
