Hello ladies from a bitterly cold Canada. it's a face biting -13 here today (a dry, sharp kind of cold) and we've already had snow. In Autumn ffs! I have no idea what I'm going to do for a coat as winter rolls on. I just bought an all bells and whistles winter coat that coat a bloody fortune but I'm doubtful will carry me through until April/May when it might actually start to warm up... I never had this problem when I was pregnant with DS, my first who was born in July) as UK winters are so much milder and waaay shorter. I do t want to spend another few hundred dollars on a maternity coat that I'll only need for a few months, but we don't drive and can look forward to temps of down to -30 Confused

Anyway, enough of my mini panic, hello to all the newcomers!

Fx for you sdyer Flowers

Three geez!! I was complaining that it was 8oc here in London this morning!!! Shock

Pipbin · 19/11/2014 15:29

Hi Ladies - can I join you for some support?
This is my first ever pregnancy which has come about by IVF round three.

According to the NHS etc my due day is 24th July.

First scan, 8 weeks due to IVF is on the 9th December.

Pipbin · 19/11/2014 15:31

And I'm betting I'm the oldest here. I'll be 40 by the time they arrive!

Littlelady33 · 19/11/2014 15:37

Welcome pipbin I think we share a due date. Great that you get an early scan, I should at 7 weeks due to previous MC although I've heard that early it can be a little inconclusive... Am I better waiting until 8 or 9?

WantToGoingTo · 19/11/2014 15:37

they pipbin? Are you a multiple? How exciting congrats and welcome! Quite a few ladies on here are about 40 :) (not me though I'm afraid I am one of the youngest at 23!)

Hello ladies, may I join in?

I got my bfp yesterday and this will be DC2 for us. I have a DD who will be 2 next month. I'm 33 and live in Kent.

Reading through this thread reminds me of the anti natal club thread I was on last time around, it was so helpful to be able to talk about all those little niggles and worries with people who understood. I'm sure this time around you girls will be just the same. I'm really excited to go through this journey with you all. Smile

UltimateDuck · 19/11/2014 15:51

Oh I forgot to say my due date is 28th July.

Number3cometome · 19/11/2014 15:51

Welcome Duck!

when is your DD?

I've got a bump today, I'm so bloated. Also my back is killing me, I think I need to stop the underwire bra use!

Overtiredbackagain · 19/11/2014 16:22

Welcome Duck, whereabouts in Kent? I'm Kent too.

Overtiredbackagain · 19/11/2014 16:23

Leela I've been contemplating investing in a couple of comfy non-wired bras this week?! Although DP is very "proud" of the impressive size of my boobs! Men! Wink

Bustherb · 19/11/2014 16:24

Sarky I'm 25! Grin Well I really thought that was it for my sickness this morning. No chance, 2pm I started feeling sick and started all over again Confused although I came home early and forced a packet of salt and vinegar down me, feel lots better now Grin xx welcome all the newbies xx

Leela5 · 19/11/2014 16:32

Overtired, mine don't feel bigger but they must be as my bra is uncomfortable and my back is killing me ! Will pop to m&s tomorrow. Glamorous! Grin

Overtiredbackagain · 19/11/2014 16:35

I know!! How is it possible to stay trendy, stylish and not cost a fortune when pregnant?!! Hmm

Overtiredbackagain · 19/11/2014 16:35

I know!! How is it possible to stay/be trendy, stylish and not cost a fortune when pregnant?!! Hmm

misseskimo · 19/11/2014 17:08

sarky I just turned 28, actually got my BFP on my birthday haha.
We're thinking now we're gonna wait and see if I'm showing at Christmas, and then take it as it comes... If not, we're gonna try and wait until after the scan, if so, then we'll have to say something earlier.

leela I went out at the weekend and bought a few loose/flouncy but fancy tops to wear at work for the next few months. I've been so bloated the past two weeks, and it's only getting worse, so it's making it rather difficult to hide with my normal work attire!

smallgreenbanana · 19/11/2014 17:17

Decided to call in sick today. Just couldn't manage to do any work while feeling so crap. Took it really easy, had a long snooze in the afternoon. My nausea is definitely better when I'm relaxing and not doing anything (!). I'm thinking about learning some relaxation techniques. Not quite sure what I'm going to put on the sick leave report as don't want to write "pregnancy nausea" but don't want to lie either!!!?

My best friend at the moment is Marmite on toast. I bought the biggest jar I've ever bought in my life! Grin

Discovered that my smart TV has yoga videos on it! So I was very proud of myself earlier as I did 10 minutes.

Anyone thinking of a home birth?

Thepurplegiraffe · 19/11/2014 17:19

Evening, this thread has moved fast today. Think I am joining the slightly older mums to be at 36.
Sorry am on my phone and have forgotten names but I really don't think a couple of glasses in the 2ww is anything to worry about. Chances are that bean wasn't actually getting much from you then and so many people drink loads with absolutely no effect before they find out.
I think somebody was saying they have been to Frimley before. What is it like? It is quite far from me but I have heard it is good so considering it.

VirtualPointyHat · 19/11/2014 17:28

small I have marmite issues too!

Especially on cheese on toast, or in cheese straws yum

Also need savoury umami and acidic, no interest in sweet whatsoever. DH brought me a bowl of ice cream last night, I turned it down and it is back in the freezer Shock
