Supershiv1 · 22/11/2014 21:18

want yes, I'm doing NEBOSH but have done it in a condensed format with exams Monday and assignment to hand in by end of next week.
It's 18 months study in two weeks Hmm very reliant on self study to get the hours in but DS is sick so am being mum as opposed to student.
What you doing?

itsnotthatdeep · 22/11/2014 21:41

Mister my lil one is 8 and a half, and she has a half brother who is four. They would be no explaining if I was sick because her step mum had hyperemsis when she was pregnant so she equates a lot of puking with pregnancy.

I'm just not sure what she will think to be honestBlush we are very very close and I'm quite active with her, she's gutted I've said no to ice skating at the Nat. History museum and goin to the fair and all the fun that we have.

It's just a lot to take in I'm still trying to get my head around being pregnant, we've only been together a year and we aren't living together.

I'm just glad I haven't got any major symptoms to make things worse.

WantToGoingTo · 22/11/2014 21:41

I am doing CSQS little scared about exposing myself now Hmm

My dd is 2yrs 8months and she's v switched on so we are not mentioning anything about our pregnancy or the baby anywhere near her because she is guaranteed to relay anything we say to one set of grandparents. When I was being sick in my last pregnancy, she was almost two and she rubbed my back and said "mummy k now?" "Poorly mummy" "Poppy kiss it better mummy" ??

Zampa · 22/11/2014 22:15

Had to break out the emergency cheesecake today ...

misseskimo · 22/11/2014 22:49

Thanks for fx ladies. kilicat mister I ended up in bed with a hot water bottle just after posting, and only got up at 8pm to attempt some of the dinner DH made (bangers and mash). I managed half but my stomach is so uncomfortably bloated I couldn't finish and came back to bed Sad I don't want to pester the EPU unless I really need to. Though if this carries on I may ring them tomorrow/Monday to ask for advice... Given in to paracetamol now though. I know it sounds daft, but after 4hrs there the other week I don't want a repeat event if I'm overreacting. Fingers crossed I'll wake up tomorrow feeling better!!

slightlyconfused85 · 23/11/2014 07:23

Hello all. DP is downstairs with 2yo DD as I can't get up, feeling soooo sick. I'm only 5 weeks and 5 daya yet I feel hideous. I was very sick with DD and had forgotten how dire it is. Feeling sorry for myself

MisterSafetyCatchIsNotOn · 23/11/2014 07:51

Flowers slightly that was me yesterday, hope a lie-in helps. I would suggest you have some biscuits or something to munch on slowly while in bed, might help. I had to have a good old cry yesterday when I thought about another couple of months of ms (I had it until 16 weeks last time) so I can't imagine how those with HG manage.
Ah notthat I'd probably spill the beans sooner if DS was that age as you can explain much more easily and she'll hopefully be able to appreciate the positives. He is only 2 and a bit and I'm worried the only message he'll get is that he has to share mummy. If you're feeling reasonably ok though it might be better to give yourself a bit more time to come to terms with it.
How are you this morning misseskimo?

Leela5 · 23/11/2014 08:23

It's unnerving having days when I get barely any symptoms. Yesterday was one. Hope I get more today

Number3cometome · 23/11/2014 08:43

Morning ladies - sore boobs yay!!!
On the downside had a fallout with OH last night. Was feeling insecure and let my bad mood and emotions take over. He's totally not talking to me now Sad

slightlyconfused85 · 23/11/2014 08:50

Im up now. I had ms for the first 2 trimesters last time so I feel pretty miserable at the thought today!

Pipbin · 23/11/2014 08:52

Oh no Number3. Not what you need.
Leela no symptoms here either. It's worrying isn't it.

Really not feeling at all pg here. Slightly tender boobs. Does anyone else have nipples like chapel hat pegs? I look like I'm freezing all the time.

Fleurchamp · 23/11/2014 09:08

No symptoms here either. Boobs tender and I get tired easily but that's it.

Seriously concerned that when I go for my scan the nurse will laugh and tell me off for wasting their time. DH is super excited, I am trying to calm him down and warn him that this may not turn out as he hopes.

itsnotthatdeep · 23/11/2014 09:35

Number3 that was us yesterday, full scale row over nothing but it's cleared the air now thank goodness. It's hard work because he lives in London and I'm in notts, but it gives me lots of space and I don't need to spend my days washing socks and wrestling for the remote control Wink

I managed to stay awake til 11 yday and slept til 8:30 so I feel well rested today, my belly feels massive though, I'm already a 14/16 I'm going back to the gym next week if it kills me, I've missed my running and spin classes.

Hope everyone is feeling well thanks for all the advice re whether to tell my daughter or not.

Bustherb · 23/11/2014 09:41

I've got my scan in an hour and have been up all night thinking about it! Now I have a bad belly and can't stop going to the toilet!! Confused Confused Supposed to drink a pint of water too, don't know how I won't be able to go for a wee xxx

WantToGoingTo · 23/11/2014 09:43

Morning all! I too been verging on arguing with DH - about tiling! Seems so ridiculous in the cold light of day.

Less symptoms today too, boobs killed yesterday but not hurting really at all today Hmm

Number3cometome · 23/11/2014 09:43

deep not sure this will be resolved today.

I'm scoffing some peanut butter and banana on toast the off out for a long walk in the rain to calm down!

Ladies - my sore boobs and only symptom just began yesterday and really to be fair, they ain't that sore, more heavy and tender. Nips are normal.

No sickness but perhaps some evening only tiredness and nausea.

I've also warned OH not to get too excited.

Bustherb · 23/11/2014 10:25

Thanks want and number3 xxx I'll let you know how I get on xxx

patienceisvirtuous · 23/11/2014 10:35

I am feeling pretty symptomless today except for period type lower back pain. It is unnerving :/

I told a few close family members yesterday with the 'cautiously optimitic' caveat.

Anyone know what is safe to take for bad allergies - dust/pets etc?

*optimistic

LizziTea · 23/11/2014 12:41

I'm just back from an early scan - it's good news, but it was quite an emotional rollercoaster! We could see the yolk sack but no little dot, so apparently we 'don't know if the pregnancy's viable' but this could be normal because it was so early. (5 weeks.) For some reason, I focused the negative and uncertain bits of what the sonographer said, and I found it really traumatic seeing an empty black blob that didn't appear to have an embryo inside it. It took me about half an hour and a fair bit of crying to register that this means I don't have an ectopic, and there's every chance the pregnancy's fine... So I'm feeling happy but a bit shellshocked. I've been 'discharged' from the EPAU now to keep my fingers crossed till the 12-week scan.
Bustherb, I hope your scan went okay. Was thinking of you early this morning as I lay awake wondering about my scan!

Bustherb · 23/11/2014 12:51

Back from the scan, it's good news! All looks good, clear to see the baby, the yolk sack and everything else. We also saw and heard the heartbeat, lady said it was very strong! Turns out I'm 7&4 rather than 8 but the lady said it can be a matter of ovulating late. We got lots of pics too! GrinGrin Xxx

Bustherb · 23/11/2014 12:51

I'm sure everything is fine for you Liz xxxx
