Ugh, tiredness definitely = sickness here, only got about 4 hours sleep last night and spent a lot of the day dashing to and from the bathroom. The only things I could manage to eat were tinned pineapple and chunks of cheese (not the best nutrition for growing a baby!) Lucky it's Saturday so DH was here and helpfully took DS out for a couple of hours in the afternoon. I have been feeling so rough this week, don't remember it being this bad last time so I think having to get up at 12am and 2am and 6.30 with a 2 year old (who hates sleep) is definitely having an impact!
How old is your daughter Itsnotthatdeep? I am trying to avoid telling DS about it until 4 months or so when it starts to show, tbh I'm a bit scared of his reaction as he is very clingy with me at the moment and gets so jealous so I want to give some thought to how to talk to him about it in a positive way. Do any with more than 2 have any tips on how to introduce the idea gently? I have had to say 'mummy is feeling a bit poorly today' rather too often this week to explain why I can't play / am losing my temper / am throwing up and I'm already feeling the guilt of how this is all affecting him!
LovelyDucks I'm with you, DS was (and still is) a terrible sleeper and I already promised myself a co-sleeper cot for this one to sleep in until she/he gives up night feeds. I did everything by the book with DS, moses basket next to bed until 7 months then in to own room, don't co-sleep, strict bedtime routine etc. but he fed in the night until 18 months and was up every 2-3 hours for the entire first year, I cannot do that again! I have recently come across cocoonababy nests which I wish I had known about last time. They are expensive but I think would have made all the difference to DS who got quite windy at night and hated to lie flat.
Hope you're feeling better Misseskimo, a tiny bit of pink spotting is usually nothing to worry about and nausea / cramping / exhaustion all sounds normal, wouldn't blame you for staying in tonight though I would want to do the same.
Lovely to see a little bean Kili! It's amazing how fast they develop at this stage. I have still not heard from the midwives, having submitted my form more than 2 weeks ago. Have called the GP and they promised to get them to call me on Tuesday so I hope to get some appointment dates soon, although I will be at work on Tuesday and share an office with my boss so it could be a bit awkward
By LMP I am now 8 weeks so I would have expected to hear back by now.
I'm struggling to keep up here, the thread moves so fast, hope everyone else is having a good weekend!
