ohlordy there are a couple of places in sheffield and nottingham that do them. Cheapest was £80. I'm waiting for MW appointment on Tuesday to see when scan will be - should be before Xmas but if not will book private scan.

FourAndDone · 22/11/2014 09:16

Sorry yes should have said, hot water bottle great to warm feet use a base of back to ease aches etc, I just wouldn't put it directly on to my belly! I'm no medical expert mind, just my own paranoia speaking.Grin

WantToGoingTo · 22/11/2014 09:24

lewaney I still get cramps on an off but they were pretty bad from 3-4 weeks.

touch silk is great! Love that series.

Morning all!!

Is anybody planning on taking weekly bump photos? I might start on Monday at exactly 7wks.

Bustherb · 22/11/2014 10:01

Does anyone feel a bit crappy in the bedroom department at the mo? I'm just so tired and sick it's the last thing on my mind and feel really funny about it all. Sarky I might start taking bump pics xx

Leela5 · 22/11/2014 10:27

I've not been dtd because I'm waiting til I check everything's ok. I sometimes spot after sex and I don't want to panic myself. Poor dh! Grin

Bustherb · 22/11/2014 10:30

We've only dtd twice since we found out and I bled a bit on the first time so like you a bit worried. Hubby understands and says it doesn't matter but just makes me feel crappy. Xx

247babyonthebrain · 22/11/2014 10:32

Morning everyone! Havent been on in a few days so lots to catch up on. Cant remember everything so welcome to newcomers, thanks for the 'dads diary' and the ASOS clothes ideas! Yes i think i am going to take some bump pictures lol!

I went to the post office on Tuesday to return my clearblue ovulation trial kit they sent out cause i dont need it. Woman in post office asked me whats in box, i just said it wasnt valuable. She said she needed to know, so obviously whole post office went quiet when i said pregnancy tests and urine pots...cringe. Blaming this on 'baby brain' i forgot to take my address off the box and its just bern delivered back to me :( now gotta go back and do it all again!

Sarkymare · 22/11/2014 11:01

I'm not planning on uploading the photos to FB or anything so I might just take them in my bra and underwear.

I haven't eaten anything yet today and I'm still really bloated. It's so low down though so it looks like a proper little bump. I keep teasing DP telling him there's probably two in there Grin

broodylicious · 22/11/2014 11:18

Just between tile shops so not had proper read back but wanted to say..... 1. Yes to bump diary! Looks great if you do that time lapse video thing afterwards. 2. No jiggy biz here. I had a low lying placenta in first pg and was advised not to dtd in case of any issues so I just want to be sure all is ok first.

WantToGoingTo · 22/11/2014 11:46

Yes to bump pics will probably start at 8 weeks :)

Re dtd we have done it once since finding out, but had a harp pain in cervix so kind of ruined the moment! Think it is extra sensitive! Felt pretty tired lately so haven't really felt like it but think fmu libidos is back with a vengeance now haha

Afternoon ladies,

Thanks for all the advice very reassuringSmile I'm feeling better now but they always tend to go away during the day Hmm

I think a hot water bottle on my feet sounds like a plan for tonight Grin

I'm going to try and call my gp again and see if I can get an appointment earlier... Hopefully the receptionist won't bite my head off like last time Angry

Number3cometome · 22/11/2014 12:27

Maybe it's just me but I've been wanting to dtd a lot! I've just found I get a bit of aching after and OH is like "am I poking the baby?"
I've told him even the most endowed man has nothing to worry about. I've just been careful not to let him go too deep as it can hurt normally let alone when pg.

Today I am feeling really sad! Spent most of the morning crying, OH thinks I am having some form on breakdown and is possibly getting fed up with the tears

WantToGoingTo · 22/11/2014 12:38

Number I am the same! As of couple days ago I want to dtd all the time - hormones must be raging Wink I even woke DH from sleep last night hehe. Yes, it hurt me when it was too deep yesterday - extra sensitive cervix I think!

Lewaney my cramps are almost exclusively at night when I am in bed, don't get them during the day. I am pretty sure it's normal :)

Less than 4 weeks til my booking in now! Feels quite soon!

not that I am getting ahead of myself I have bought a birth record embroidery to do for the nursery - I do them for all big events in the family, weddings, big birthdays, anniversaries, babies, so only right that I do one for little bean. It will be blank for a long time though with the details as we will be having a surprise. It will probably take me the best part of 6 months to do so should keep me occupied Grin

wantto that sounds like such a creative idea Smile

I have been struggling not to look at baby clothes although I did peek at some very funny onesies. I have seen a teddy bear grow that I hope will be our first purchase... I've already told decided with DH Grin

How is everyone else? I'm feeling so lazy decided to have a reality tv afternoon .. Blush

Number3cometome · 22/11/2014 12:49

I'm currently watching Catfish and have no intention of moving from the settee until I can be absolutely sure I won't cry. I could be here for a long time!

WantToGoingTo · 22/11/2014 12:59

I am with you on the TV girls. DH has gone away until Sunday lunch time, so I am shamelessly still in my dressing gown and just got back into bed as can't face the washing up from our fry up! My DM may be popping over later, but not going to get dressed til I'm sure Wink

I have so many cute baby things bookmarked on google at the moment, promised myself not to buy anything until I get past the scans though. So many cute things! I have however already picked out the nursery wallpaper and curtains [embarrassed] as we will be decorating in March and need to have done all plastering and prep etc before then in new year that's my excuse anyway and the wallpaper is on offer at the moment so I may buy it soon...

Also sarky I took a pic once I tested a positive there was no bump but for the memory Blush and I may start too at 8 weeksSmile

Bustherb · 22/11/2014 13:16

Thanks girls, I'm glad I'm not the only one whose not dtd that much! Very nervous about my scan tomorrow, almost convinced myself I haven't got anything in there Shock I love catfish x

LizziTea · 22/11/2014 13:28

Hooray for dressing gowns, sofas and TV! WantToGoingTo, Kilicat, TouchPauseEngage and Huffs 123 - thanks for those suggestions. I'm not too discriminating in what type of programmes I like, except yesterday I found that anything with a medical bent is a bit too anxiety-provoking at the moment! Death in Paradise is a great idea - I've watched some but not all of it, and I think it would be light enough to cheer me up! I'm also intrigued by Sons of Anarchy, Silks and The Bridge. So plenty to keep myself busy with today! (I'm thinking of sampling a couple of episodes of each…) I don't remember when I last had a completely quiet day - what a treat!

Bump pictures are a really fun idea! At the moment, though, I think I'd have a rather embarassingly big bump from bloating. :-S

247 - I feel like I know all about Baby Brain. Yesterday evening I brushed my teeth and then, since I wasn't wearing my contact lenses, went through the routine of putting them IN before I realized that I really don't need to wear contact lenses to sleep! (This is the kind of thing I would occasionally do anyway, but such things have been happening a lot more in this last sleep-deprived week!)

Lewaney, I think you need to stand up to the GP receptionist. On Tuesday I had pain that felt like it might have been an ectopic, so I phoned up the GP and said I thought I needed an appointment that day, because I thought it might be urgent. The Receptionist replied that they couldn't see me because they were only seeing emergency and urgent cases that day. I felt a bit baffled and hung up the phone, but later when I called 111 they sent me very quickly to an out-of-hours GP service. In hindsight, I should have just been firmer with the receptionist and insisted it WAS an emergency! (I should add that it was almost certainly nothing worrying in the end - just awaiting a scan tomorrow to check.)

Sorry for the long post! By the way, I'm due on the 26th July, and I'm currently 4 +6.

Lewaney3 · 22/11/2014 13:40

Yeah I think I definitely will be a lot more firm lizzi when I got my BFP I asked for a first appointment with the GP and was told there's no need and I should just book in with the midwife at 8 weeks and I told her I had pains but she was so dismissive. Only after getting off the phone and relaying it to DH did it hit me how I should have questioned the reasoning a bit more. Confused

itsnotthatdeep · 22/11/2014 14:11

Oooh bump pics would be lovely but I'm so scarred from my last pregnancy SadSad

Went out for drinks for my dads bday last night and lasted til 10 which I'm very proud about, so glad I've told immediate family it meant I could just relax, thank god.

I don't feel tired at all today Grin

I'm contemplating telling my daughter about my pregnancy as she's quite boisterous and I keep having to tell her off it seems a bit early because I'm only 8 weeks on Monday, but I'm not sure what to do

Glad everyone's settling in and nothing too scary is happening

TouchPauseEngage · 22/11/2014 14:58

Afternoon ladies. I have spent the last two hours making a ginger bread house. I'm too impatient so I tried to assemble it before it was ready. It was supposed to be for DH's GCSE class but it's collapsed so we get to eat it! I'm now forcing my arse out the house for a run and then I will do nothing all evening. I feel I should add that I'm not a gym bunny but I have a rescue collie cross who can't be let off the lead so running is the only chance we have to tire him out!

New symptom - spots! Horrible horrible skin!
I haven't seen any posts from fattycow for a while. Have I just missed them? Hope you're well fatty!

SparklyPenguin · 22/11/2014 15:23

Hi everybody, just catching up with the new thread, have had such a tiring week at work so it's a sofa day for me today too! Got my scan letter- 7th Jan, feels like ages away!
touch I know what you mean about spots, my skin's been so bad recently, despite the better diet and no booze Confused

TouchPauseEngage · 22/11/2014 15:29

That's the worst thing sparkly! I thought that I'd be feeling fabulous without booze and with all the extra vitamins but Im just bloated, spotty and feel constantly hungover!
