OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Kilicat · 21/11/2014 21:54

broody thought I was seven weeks based on LMP but sonographer said more like 6 + 2 based on size so I've back tracked a few days!

lizzi enjoy your restful weekend - and sounds like good news about the blood test.

6 + 2

Kilicat · 21/11/2014 21:56

Have you seen The Bridge - it involves following subtitles but it's very good and there are two series now.

Ceejay14 · 21/11/2014 23:10

Can I add my due date to the list please - 19 July.
I went to the GP yesterday and don't have my midwife appt until 17 dec so no chance of a pre-christmas scan. We booked a private one for 19th so we can hopefully announce good news at christmas.
If you've had a flu jab did you have to ask your GP or did they recommend it? Mine didn't suggest it yesterday and I forgot to ask.

Pipbin · 21/11/2014 23:18

I has mine today. The gp said that as I am on their system as pg I could just book in with the nurse and have a jab.

Lewaney3 · 22/11/2014 00:40

Hi ladies,

Don't mind me just rambling here, I'm having period like cramps again tonight which are keeping me up. I can't even ring my mom or friends for a gossip and talk about it as not telling anyone our news yet... I am so grateful but can someone please reassure me this is normal I thought the period pains would go after a week or so ?? how long do these tend to go on for? I'm currently relying on google doctor... And as a first timer it seems very unnerving!

Also fourdone I see we're due date buddies, I hope I can ask you lots of questionsGrinBlush

StoneBaby · 22/11/2014 06:24

lewa how are you this morning? One thing I learnt during my 1st pg is to stay away from google. I'm 5+4 today still suffer from cramping.

FourAndDone · 22/11/2014 06:38

Hi lewa!
Unless you are in unbearable pain or bleeding don't panic!
It is your body stretching and preparing for housing a baby!
They can be scary I know because it feels just like AF cramps!
Sorry I'm rambling here, iv never experienced a MC but would assume it to be more painful than AF after implantation etc.

Best to snuggle up with a warm drink no hot water bottle bad for baby and let your body get on with it Grin

Just found a good app called pregnancy+ lots of pics of baby growing, info on every stage, shopping list etc. iv dowload the free version but believe you can upgrade.Smile

FourAndDone · 22/11/2014 06:39

Sorry what a rambly confusing post! Just got up, no coffee yet!Confused

TouchPauseEngage · 22/11/2014 06:43

lizzieTea we've just become obsessed with Silks on Netflix. It's a legal drama with Maxine Peek and is fab. Give it an episode or so to get into it - I found it a bit slow at first but as we're on series three and started watching on Sunday I'd say it was good ??
Have you watched House of Cards? It's also very very good. Quite dark but also funny in parts. Again, you need a couple of episodes to get into the characters. We watched the UK version after the U.S. one and that's pretty good too.

ohlordyplordy · 22/11/2014 06:52

Wahoo 8 hours sleep, go me. That was needed after the weeks insomnia.
Good to hear good things about the Royal twinky, four and touch. We've only been in Chesterfield for a couple of years and have had no call to visit the hospital.
Those of you that have private scans booked, how have you gone about it please? It's tempting to book one, as wee'd like to tell family at Christmas. My folks will be staying with us, and even if I have no symptoms during their stay they will undoubtedly pick up on the lack of blue cheese and pate!

TinyCaterpillar · 22/11/2014 06:53

How are you feeling this morning Lewaney? Just wanted to reassure you, I had the most horrific cramps with my first, kept waking me up at night etc. All was well! I assume it was everything stretching for the first time as I didn't have it with #2 or this one. Hope you feel better today, hot water bottle helps! (Totally safe according to mw!). But if you feel worse do give your GP a call, they may be able to arrange an early scan for you.

Feeling very pregnant today, got sore boobs and developing a small tummy already (the joys of #3!). It's really dragging though, for various reasons I had early scans at 5 and 6w with the other two and I don't think I will quite believe everything is ok in there until I see it.

TinyCaterpillar · 22/11/2014 06:55

ohlordy re private scans I just googled 'early pregnancy scan' and found some nearby that looked reputable and gave them a call. They were all really busy though so probably best to call sooner rather than later!

TinyCaterpillar · 22/11/2014 07:13

Oh I forgot! I'm 6+1!

TouchPauseEngage · 22/11/2014 07:20

Ohlordy the A&E has always been good in my experience too. We have extensive experience at DH plays rugby and we are there all the fecking time. He broke his shoulder badly 10 weeks ago and is bloody well playing again today.
Ahem, sorry, can you tell I needed that rant Grin

Thepurplegiraffe · 22/11/2014 07:30

Four, is a hot water bottle ok if you don't put it on your stomach? One symptom I have (and had last time) is that I am freezing all the time and can't seem to get warm without it.
I must get on and look into scans today if they are so busy. I have been putting it off in case it became unnecessary.

Number3cometome · 22/11/2014 07:32

Tiny I thought maybe I was imagining a very small hard bump starting to form, I get cramps still but they are feeling like extremeley mild braxtons? Really odd but I can only assume are growing pains and praying nothing more sinister

Baby number 3

ohlordyplordy · 22/11/2014 07:34

Thanks tiny.
touch i guess getting familiar with a&e is a parental rite of passage. you rant awayGrin.

ohlordyplordy · 22/11/2014 07:35

oops 4+5

ohlordyplordy · 22/11/2014 07:38

i'm in the same situation lucy, had a cp last cycle too. Was nervous about joining the an thread, but things feel different this time somehow, so trying to be optimistic.

TouchPauseEngage · 22/11/2014 07:40

purple I think hot water bottles are ok as they don't raise your whole body temp. Could be wrong though. Cramps have died down for me this week but was using them every night from wk4-7.

8+2

Fivestar01 · 22/11/2014 07:53

Hello everybody
I've been stalking for a while and thought it was about time I joined you ladies this will be baby 5 for me I'm due 3rd July so 8 weeks tomorrow
Feeling super dizzy and exhausted at the moment and terribly anxious this time
Hope your all well

VirtualPointyHat · 22/11/2014 08:00

I need your tips

I am taking my brownies on a sleepover tonight, its going to be cold and sleepless when all I want at the moment is warmth and sleep.

Obviously the girls don't know yet or their parents.

How do I survive without getting grumpy?

I'm also meant to be taking them away on camp when I will be 35 weeks, no idea what to do about that one yet

7+5

TouchPauseEngage · 22/11/2014 08:09

virtual lots and lots of layers. Don't let yourself get cold in the first place as its so hard to warm up. Take a hot water bottle too.
As for sleep...well Ive been a brownie so I know there isn't much you can do to keep them quiet! nap today and don't plan anything for tomorrow. Good luck!

Overtiredbackagain · 22/11/2014 08:13

Morning all! I am soooo tired, all thanks to asda home grocery bloody delivery Shock Supposed to deliver between 7 and 9, half 10 "reassured" me "of course it's on it way, it will be delivered tonight" blah blah

I gave up at midnight and still nothing, no apology and no shopping Hmm

I do delivery so I don't have to drag kids round supermarket wasting our precious weekend but guess that I'll be doing today, unless I can get a shop delivery for tomorrow ..... With Sainsbury!! Confused

Rant over!! Grin

Everyone ok? Can't believe how quickly this thread moves, I have some serious catching up to do x

Bustherb · 22/11/2014 08:19

Ohlordy I just googled early pregnancy scans. After feeling better yesterday and finally having a small appetite my hubby decided to take us out for tea, had a mini breakdown because I couldn't eat my poppadoms and cried for 20 mins Shock

I'm 8 & 0 xxx
