Can I add my EDD to the list - 14 July??

Relatively good day today symptom-wise although really struggling with tiredness in the afternoons....how I wish I worked in a bigger office so I could sneak off for a quick power nap! Oh and for those with achey backs - I feel your pain! I never thought at 6 weeks there would be quite so many changes for something so small

lucygooo · 21/11/2014 18:35

Hi ohlordy yes I was there for Pregoween! That's when I had my cp and couldn't face joining the November bus! Have seen a few names I recognise - that's so nice :)

four - wow, you'll probably be bombarded by questions from all us first timers!

patience welcome, that sounds just like me, I am being very cautious and trying to keep my emotions in check. Also got the crampy stretchy feelings going on, they stopped this morning and I suddenly got worried but they came back this afternoon with a vengeance! Never thought I would be happy to be having cramps lol :)

TouchPauseEngage · 21/11/2014 18:36

Oooh hello Chestefield ladies! I'm not far from you (up and down a couple of big hills). I've heard amazing things about the midwife led unit at the Royal!

FourAndDone · 21/11/2014 19:02

Oh please!! Iv got 2 year old crying at the side of me because 'she doesn't want blue eyes'!
I'm sat here like Confused not really sure how to handle this? Offer her some coloured contacts?Grin

The pregnancy part is great, we will moan, we will hate the last three months, then we will mourn it when it is gone.Smile

Please do ask me questions I probably won't know the answer I like to be helpful.

The royal is lovely now it has been done up, hoping to have a dip in there tub this time around!

Anyone have any ideas for name change? Though I do love been four.Wink

Kilicat · 21/11/2014 19:04

Number3 - thanks for that, I'd not considered the link to ovulation but now you mention it I do get pain on that side when I ovulate - so maybe I've had it for a while and it's obviously not bothered me at all! I did have a little panic when the registrar I saw this morning said I needed an appointment with a consultant when I go back in four weeks in case I need surgery. I am assuming that's unlikely and he was just covering all bases!

Kilicat · 21/11/2014 19:08

MsRyan it's reassuring to know I'm not the only one and doesn't seem to be a cause for concern. I think the extra scan is more for the cyst than the hematoma but although I tried to really pay attention to the doc I did get a bit confused between the two as he kept talking about them interchangeably, and it was interspersed with lots of personal anecdotes as his wife is just pregnant for the first time so him and DH kept taking the discussion off on a tangent on what it was like to be the bloke with a pregnant wife!

Kilicat · 21/11/2014 19:18

Welcome to all the new folk - amazing that there are so many of us!
sdyer I've attached a photo of the photo???not the best quality! Little bean is at the top left (it was pretty amazing to see its tiny heart beating in the screen) and I think the blob in the middle is the hematoma! Have you got yours?

Kilicat · 21/11/2014 19:19

That's totally my pjs you can see me wearing at 7.20 on a Friday night! Glad to hear from everyone else that it's not just me that's exhausted.

StoneBaby · 21/11/2014 19:24

I've got a cyst on my left ovary too!

I will ask for a cs as my 1st delivery wasn't ideal and I ended up with an emcs. It was under peridural.

DH has decided to tell people as many were wondering why I am drinking water instead of lager (DH is a publican so I spend lots of time there). When told BIL commented that it was about time.... I had to stop myself telling him that it took 2&½ years, 4 cycle of clomid and 5 cycles of gonal-f to achieve this! Angry

Mild nausea today but lots of stretching pain. Those may be linked to too much coughing tho.

Over here GP highly recommend the flu jab and from 24w you can get the whooping cough jab.

Hello to all newbies.

Fivestar01 · 21/11/2014 19:27

Hello everybodySmile
I've been stalking for a while and thought it was about time I joined you ladies this will be baby 5 for me Shock I'm due 3rd July so 8 weeks tomorrow
Feeling super dizzy and exhausted at the moment and terribly anxious this time
Hope your all well

twinky12 · 21/11/2014 19:46

ohlordy no I haven't been in touch with the midwife, last time they said 8 weeks to me 2. And my docs aren't to helpful. I have no idea about antenatal classes and where u get them. Its all so new I didn't get to far last time. I heard some1 say wear mumsnet scarfs aha.

four wow 5th, i had a giggle at the name 2. And i agree with the royal with the new woman's ward. I had a mc and they were absolutely lovely there, nothing but nice.

And welcome to all the new mummy to be's that have joined the thread.

UltimateDuck · 21/11/2014 19:51

Just ordered a big fat cheesy pizza. Yum!

broodylicious · 21/11/2014 20:13

Lol fleur, yes there is a forgetfulness as soon as you hold your baby after labourWinkSmile but seriously, I didn't find it as bad as I'd been told. It hurt and it was tiring but the word "labour" kinda hints at that, I always joke!

TinyCaterpillar · 21/11/2014 20:47

Wow lots of messages since I last checked the thread! How is everyone? I've started to feel nauseous today, had a few proper 'going to be sick' moments but thankfully haven't been yet. It's all starting to feel a bit more real, got my flu jab booked for Monday and a private scan booked for 8+3 in a couple of weeks as I want to tell people at Christmas if all is well. I had to go for that date as unbelievably there were no other dates free until the 21st Dec and that was after calling three different clinics and I live in a city! So anyone else thinking of booking one, it's probably a good idea to get calling ASAP. Still haven't heard from the midwife, hoping they'll call next week with my booking app.

WantToGoingTo · 21/11/2014 20:52

Kilicat your little bean!! Grin

The hunger hit me today, big time. I was absolutely starving come dinner, had to have seconds (DH didn't believe me that I would eat it all) and a pudding! And still not full, though I stopped at that figuring anymore would not be baby, but just fat Wink

I have a v annoying symptom that whenever I eat a hot main meal, my whole face goes bright red and hot afterwards, for about half an hour or so. It is so hot I can feel my veins throbbing!

That and the racing heart last night...

Hoping it isn't a concerning symptom Confused

Hi all, I've been following for a while (this and the TTC threads), it's been great to hear from others going through similar. Can I join? I just had my GP apt today and got the referral after doing HPTs every day for the past 3 wks. The GP apt literally lasted 3 minutes so it's lucky I have these forums for information! Due date 23 July, no major symptoms, so I am missing the Wine!

broodylicious · 21/11/2014 21:05

Hi everyone, just caught up with the new thread! I am rubbish at posting, I think I've managed one post per thread so far Confused

Can I suggest we put how far along we are at the bottom of out posts, to help us know where we all are? We did it in my previous group and it was v helpful.

The nausea is starting for me now, gutted, was hoping I would dodge it. So constant eating here.

Booking in appointment next week!

Kili your little bean! Amazing!!

Thankyou Bustherb - I too have a scan on Sunday now! I got very overstressed waiting for the results of the second blood test, but my HCG levels doubled like they're meant to, which is apparently a good sign that it might not be ectopic.

Having cancelled my adventurous travel plans, it's time to choose a good Netflix series and curl up on the sofa for the weekend! Any suggestions on what to watch?

WantToGoingTo · 21/11/2014 21:45

Hi Lizzi

If you like morbid fascination, murder, twisted, then The Fall on the BBC at the moment is a winner. It is second series at the moment (episode 2 was last night) but series 1 is available on iplayer too at the moment. It is so disturbing, but so addictive! In a morbid kind of way!

Or, for more light hearted detective stuff, Death In Paradise (another BBC one)

Other favourites of mine: Silent Witness (are you seeing a theme here?), Downton Abbey, Larkrise to Candleford, New Girl, Fresh Meat...

What sort of genre do you like? I have watched a fair few series in my time (mostly BBC to be fair)!

Huffs123 · 21/11/2014 21:49

Haha want hopefully people might find it helpful!
