ohlordyplordy · 21/11/2014 11:44

Oh wow twink small world! Is this your first dc?
We could bump into each other pushing prams around queen's park!

twinky12 · 21/11/2014 11:58

ohlordy yes this is my first. How about u? And yes its a very small world.

smallgreenbanana · 21/11/2014 12:13

These sentimental Christmas adverts are the worst! Just burst into tears at Waitrose advert! Blush

ohlordyplordy · 21/11/2014 12:14

twinky Yes it's my first too. Have you called the midwife yet? I got a bfp last cycle and when I called they said it was too early and to call back when i'm roughly 8 weeks, so I haven't bothered calling yet this time. I don't think it'll sink in properly until I have the midwife appt.
I wonder if we'll end up in antenatal classes together?!?

EskiDecaff · 21/11/2014 12:45

Small green- I did the same thing today and I'm tucked up in bed feeling rubbish. All this talk of swimming at 0615Blush I'm barely conscious inbetween throwing up! So jealous!Blush

lucygooo · 21/11/2014 12:51

Hey can I tentatively join you ladies? Had my BFP yesterday but I'm feeling cautious after having a cp last month. It's my first and I'm 32 in west London. I'm only 4weeks+5 but if all goes well Ill be due around 26th July.

Been having these weird stretchy cramps all over my tummy which have been going on for about a week. Also slightly nauseous and off my food (very unusual for me!) but nothing more than that. I thought I had a tummy bug all this week as I tested on Tues and was negative, but then BFP yesterday!

Reading this board has already made me feel loads more positive so thanks x

lightgreenglass · 21/11/2014 13:15

Feeling like rubbish today - can barely keep my eyes open and the sickness seems like it's starting to kick in so it wasn't the pregnacare after all. Heading home to crawl under the duvet - does anyone know about being signed off work by the doctor. I don't want my boss to know but at the same time I don't want her to think I'm taking the piss by leaving at lunch time to avoid throwing up over my desk.

I work part time and on Monday did a half day because of Dr appt then Wednesday had to leave early as DS was teething and the kitchen ceiling was leaking so at the moment I am looking a pretty shoddy employee.

scrivette · 21/11/2014 13:51

Light if you ask the doctor he may do, I have had to leave my desk a few times today as I thought I was going to be sick so I can sympathise.

Sdyer - I am hoping to give birth in the Pru, I did last time in the Midwife Led Unit and it was wonderful!

Hello to all the newbys. Hopefully we will make 100!

Number3cometome · 21/11/2014 14:03

Anyone here had previous c-sections and going to be destined for another?

I had the first under general anaesthetic, the second under a spinal block (cannot have epidural).

Since then I have had a multi-level spinal fusion, so have read that I won't be able to have a spinal block and will have to have a GA.

As you can imagine I am now panicking!! this is slightly diverting my attention from frantically googling and worrying about m/c's

sdyer · 21/11/2014 14:29

scrivette that's good to know I'll have a fellow mumsnet friend so share reviews. Has anyone got a pic from their early scans? Would be interesting to compare x
Congrats newbees Flowers

MsRyanGosling · 21/11/2014 14:49

Kilicat it is me with the haematoma. No bleeding for me here though yet and no scheduled scans to check on it except for 12w.

Number3cometome - I have had 2 CS, one EM and last one EL. Also destined to have another. I recovered really well from the ELCS so hopefully will go the same way. Although I had epidural both times and don't know about a GA. How long does it take to come around from a GA?

Number3cometome · 21/11/2014 15:05

First time I was completely out of it as I had eclampsia seizures, next day I remember vaguely some stuff.

With my DD I had a spinal block and it was great, but as I have the fusion now I am not sure what they will do?

GA with c-section is dangerous and awful as you miss the main event.

I am the only person I know who has missed their own child's birth Sad

Not sure how else baby will come out though! clearly i'm thinking about this way too early!

FourAndDone · 21/11/2014 15:34

Good afternoon ladies.Smile
I got my BFP in Wednesday, this will be baby number 5!Shock
I roughly 4+3 and due 29th July although they always bloody change this date at the scan

Fleurchamp · 21/11/2014 15:46

Hello newbies!

Welcome!

And 5 babies Shock

See, I am firmly and rather naively in the belief that child birth cannot be as bad as OBEM makes out or surely women would stop at one.

Or is there really some magical forgetfulness spell?

Mamabear14 · 21/11/2014 16:07

Hi, newbie here. I got my bfp Sunday and I'm now 4+4 I think. This is DC3 and I'm getting some symptoms that come and go, im making myself worry so much. But im glad to hear im not the only one! Fingers crossed for us all.

SophieBarringtonWard · 21/11/2014 17:00

FourAndDone time for a name change? Grin

Had a lovely booking in appointment with the midwives today. Going to get a dating scan between 11th-26th Dec so hope it is before Christmas so can tell overseas family when we see them at Christmas...

VirtualPointyHat · 21/11/2014 17:01

hello to all the newbies!

My feet are still so cold! I have been sitting in the heated lounge, under a blanket and still cant get them warm.

I went to Tesco earlier and bought a load of slipper socks. Now wearing 2 pairs, much better!

Pipbin · 21/11/2014 17:20

Told the doctor and had a flu jab today! All seems rather real.
I love the irony of your name fouranddone. You can tell all us first timers how it all works.

smallgreenbanana · 21/11/2014 17:23

virtual glad you've got toasty toes Smile I had a massive hot flush in the supermarket and had to strip off in an aisle!!

patienceisvirtuous · 21/11/2014 17:41

Hello everyone :)

Can I join?

I'm 36 from Tyne and Wear, #1 due 26 July.

Am cautiously excited due to m/c earlier this year. No real symptoms. Quite tired, some back pain, and crampy stretchy feelings around uterus area.

ohlordyplordy · 21/11/2014 17:42

Hi lucy I think you were on the pregtober bus? Sorry to hear about your cp but happy to see you here.
Glad to see someone else from Chesterfield four. And our due dates are close too! Your name has me chuckling Grin

patienceisvirtuous · 21/11/2014 17:42

Oh and lots of wind Blush

Got doc's appointment on Weds coming up.

mzzzf · 21/11/2014 17:51

Hello lovelies - just a quick post and run! I'm due on the 31st July, so just squeezing onto this one!

I'm feeling shattered and a bit headachey but I've got to go to a work thing tonight. No-one knows I'm pregnant yet, but I've already got the "I'm driving so no drinking" excuse sorted but now I'm unsure of what I may have ordered on the set menu as it was that long ago!

I'll have a proper read through later, but now it's time to squeeze into the LBD whilst I still can Grin
