Hello ladies. Wave to everyone from the July to November ttc buses.
Tentatively joining the club as I'm passed the point where I had a cp last cycle.
I'm 34 and this will be my first dc. I think my edd is July 28th. I live in Chesterfield.

blueberrymuffin14 · 21/11/2014 09:46

lewaney I was taking folic acid (400mg I think) and GP told me to add vit D. Hope you get some better sleep over the weekend! I had trouble sleeping for a few days before I found out I was pg (probably also around 4 weeks) but it's much better now

ohlordyplordy · 21/11/2014 09:47

Oops 'past'!

Bustherb · 21/11/2014 09:48

Good luck lizzy, I have an early scan on Sunday xxx

Number3cometome · 21/11/2014 09:50

ohlordy waves!!

Leela5 · 21/11/2014 09:50

I take pregnacare and it has everything you need bit some people here have said they feel nauseous or crampy on it. Boots do their own version.

Congratulations and welcome to all the newbies!

ohlordyplordy · 21/11/2014 09:57

Hi number3, hope everything is going smoothly x

Number3cometome · 21/11/2014 10:03

So far so good, but just slightly concerned at the lack of symptoms.

I did notice last night that if I fall asleep very early (like 8:30pm) and then wake up an hour later I feel very nauseous (that general anaesthetic feeling) although some nights I am awake until 1am no problem?

x

ohlordyplordy · 21/11/2014 10:22

Try not to worry number3, everyones body behaves differently in pregnancy and even from one pregnancy to the next.
Symptom wise, I'm on constant crotch watch as I keep getting af type feeling and tmi feel very wet down below. I feel like I have tinnitus which is very odd! Feel exhausted in the evenings but then wake at 4am which is making me even more shattered. Occasionally feel slightly nauseous and nearly passed out yesterday. It's amazing that something the size of a poppy seed can have such an effect!

Number3cometome · 21/11/2014 10:24

ohlordy the tinnitus!!! OMG last night it was driving me nuts, mine sounds like waves of high pitched whining in my ears.
I woke up at 2am and could hear it whistling away, it almost gave me a panic attack as I instantly thought 'what if this noise makes me not be able to ever sleep again?!' I was infact asleep within 2 seconds of that thought! x

Ladies - have a read, hilarious and some brilliant tips for Dads to be!

Lewaney3 · 21/11/2014 10:30

Thanks blueberry and leela I may just purchase some today to keep myself occupied. My pregnancy news has coincided with my week off work and I'm now struggling not to think constantly about babies... I know I have a long way to go...

It's so reassuring to hear insomnia may go away as I'm surviving on long afternoon naps Blush
Oh and having a good read through the thread...I'm 24 and recently moved to watford from midlands.

bustherb Snap! The more I rest and sleep the less nauseous I feel. Insomnia and early starts for work are a killer.

I actually had a bit of a panic attack this morning worrying about how I would cope with feeling bad at work - it's such a carefully balancing act to eat the right things at the right time, and to pretend everything is normal with colleagues. The nausea at 4.30-5pm and the train journey home is awful. I decided that having insomnia, migraine aura, nausea and mild panic = day off sick from work. Hoping that I'll feel better by Monday as I feel guilty for being a rubbish employee.

What a lovely list of ladies! Grin

Morning All! Feeling very crap today, did make an effort by applying more lipstick than I needed and wearing heels - no luck Sad Now looking forward to my lunchtime vinyasa.

I had insomnia last night woke up about 3am and was unable to get back to sleep, partly due to DP having a cold and sniffing and coughing, hope he doesn't infect me.

I now have this pain in my back, not uncomfortable, but comes and goes, started yesterday. Anyone experienced that?

I take the seven seas equivalent, I started off with the pre conception /early pregnancy which come in tiny tablets, easy to swallow. Will be moving over to the 2 gigantic tablets seven seas similar to pregnacare. I was advised by the pharmacist that its same content.

Kilicat · 21/11/2014 10:52

Good news- there's definitely a baby in there, 6mm with a heartbeat.
Slightly less good news is that I've got a hematoma in my uterus and a cyst on one of my ovaries (anyone got an experience of those?). Saw a fab doc who said it wasn't really anything to worry about but to avoid shaking around?? I think it translates to no sex! On the plus side it does mean another scan on 22nd Dec so no need to pay for a private scan...hoping all's well then to make an announcement over Christmas! Have been pretty impressed with the NHSs efficiency so far.

Number3cometome · 21/11/2014 11:02

Kilicat I have cysts on my left ovary - it was noted on my early scan with my DD in 2006. I tend to find ovulation from that side is painful (from previous tests it's not successful either, although I am sure I had left sided pain last month)

Someone else previously said about the hematoma - don't worry, they can cause bleeding but shouldn't affect baby x

JoY007 · 21/11/2014 11:03

number3cometome lovely article.

smallgreenbanana · 21/11/2014 11:08

That's fab news kilicat Nice to know there is a bean! I think we share a due date.

Joy007 I think back pain is normal. I've got a bad back anyway so seeing my osteopath next week as I reckon by the time of 3rd trimester I'll be in agony if I don't do something!

Fleurchamp · 21/11/2014 11:13

Thanks for the stats want so many of us.

My ears keep popping, thought I had water in them from all the swimming (I am awake so early nowadays I have been at the swimming pool by 6.15am 3 times this week) but maybe it's a bloody annoying symptom! Hurrah!

twinky12 · 21/11/2014 11:15

ohlordy waves from the pregvember bus. Due the 30th here and I'm also I Chesterfield Grin

Number3cometome · 21/11/2014 11:19

smallgreenbanana Joy007
I am dreading the bad back, had a full lumbar fusion and disc replacement end of 2012. I've got a scar down my stomach (from above belly button to bikini line) so not sure how that will cope??

Leela5 · 21/11/2014 11:25

Fab news kili!

I get the bad back. Can't get comfy at work. It can be due to needing bigger bra, have you had fitting since getting pg?
