Just Shagging Grads thread 15: Join the viroids for mucus plugs and ball bouncing

Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 15th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The thread we have graduated from is [http://www.mumsnet.com/Talk/conception/2230396-Remember-Remember-JS-in-November-no-to-bum-fun-car-shagging-and-worms-Control-your-stray-wombles-and-windy-boobs-Shout-WANKBADGERS-at-the-world-of-TTC-and-get-your-cape-on-for-JUST-SHAGGING-32 here] in its 32nd outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread in postnatal clubs [http://www.mumsnet.com/Talk/postnatal_clubs/1472763-Just-Mumming-Along-viroids-2?pg=36&order= here] for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates! It's a bit quiet at the moment, but with all these upduffed viroids hopefully it won't be for long!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

So, roll call below please, viroids!

Hugs La Not long til the scan now xxx Thanks

TheBooMonster · 21/11/2014 08:39

la I didn't get symptoms until about7 weeks and despite not being a morning person have always found the mornings easiest symptom wise, it was lunch through to dinner time that I would hurl just from looking at food shame I never got into the habit of eating breakfast everything WILL be fine, as hard as it is try to enjoy your symptom free time, you will miss it when the symptoms won't give you a break and you've not kept solid food down for 2 weeks :p

Same here with no constant nausea til 7 weeks. Even then I was never actually sick, just retching, nauseous. Sometimes it was worse in morning and sometimes worse in evening. Cramps and boob pain came and went throughout whole first trim.

Leela5 · 21/11/2014 09:19

Thanks guys you are brilliant. Sorry to worry you rm I'm just bit over sensitive until I get past this week x

wilmabedrock · 21/11/2014 09:21

I wanted a girl last time RM, but was so sure it was a girl, I think if we had asked and they said 'boy', I wouldn't have believed them. But saying that, I would have been fine if it had been a boy. If you really think you'll be 'disappointed' so to speak, I might be tempted to find out first. You might feel horrific after birth and not everyone has that magical bonding feeling straight away. This time I genuinely don't have a preference.

BothersomeB · 21/11/2014 09:35

Aw, la, mountain - I feel your pain, really I do. 8 weeks today and still the anxiety is overwhelming. No-one tells you that this is how the first trimester is for everyone, and adding MC angst on top just makes it 100 times worse. The waiting is fecking agony but the time WILL pass! I've found it useful to use smaller milestones each week to help break down the waiting...Thursday I do yoga - the teacher is 2 weeks ahead of me, following multi MCs (she's bought her own 'doppler' to listen to the baby's heartbeat!), Friday is my 'week', Saturday is x weeks until early scan... Hand holds all round Smile

Doesn't help when DH says things like 'just try and forget about it', 'getting stressed isn't good for the baby' and 'how many weeks is it now?' Grrrrrr Angry

We're thinking we do want to know the gender...I think it's help us both, buy especially Mr B to see the baby as a real person, and to make plans. I actually really want a girl (am one of 3 sisters so not sure how boys 'work'!) so a boy would take a bit of getting used to and I have no names for boys

ChatEnOeuf · 21/11/2014 09:46

La look back at my moaning on the JS Fred - I don't think I had routine symptoms until 7w bear in mind I didn't even think I was pregnant such was the lack of symptoms and preceding bleed. And with DD, I made DH POAS just to check they worked - his was pleasingly negative, mine (obviously) still positive and IIRC the nausea hit the following day and stayed for the next ten weeks. TODAY, we are PREGNANT.

I'm not too nauseous today - think it's because I've finally placated the bean, who appears starving at 4pm. So that's when DD and I had dinner last night. She was delighted too, because she also had supper at dinner time Grin

I'm sure deep down last time I knew it was a girl (which is what I secretly wanted despite being delighted with a healthy baby of any flavour). I don't normally buy into that kind of nonsense, but at least 7/10 people were convinced it was a boy, and yet I still accidentally called the bump 'she' more than once. This time I'm not fussed - financially a girl makes sense, so all those clothes in the loft will get used again - we only have neutral newborn stuff that fitted DD when she was 3m. DH is desperate for a boy; DD wants a brother, but is insistent we will call it Rosie!

ChatEnOeuf · 21/11/2014 09:48

That's a good way of doing it, Bother. Don't get me started on 'stress is no good for the baby'! As if I can change the past! Angry

Pisghetti · 21/11/2014 09:57

Awww baby boy Rosie Grin

I'm too full. I can't be trusted around a buffet breakfast Sad

BothersomeB · 21/11/2014 10:11

Also Chat - there is NO medical evidence that stress causes miscarriage. It really pisses me off that DH spouts this crap without doing an ounce of research! Angry

pis - the breakfast buffet is there to be taken advantage of - you are not to blame...it was asking for it... Grin

wilmabedrock · 21/11/2014 10:16

Aw Pis we're out of bread and I don't like cereal. Would almost kill for a buffet breakfast.

Anyone work in finance? I have a mortgage/interest rates question.

Minion · 21/11/2014 10:25

la, I didn't get the typical MS morning, noon or night. I didn't even get exhausted... Hence the 20 week plus pee-a-thon.
Where you are at now, all I was, was constipated with a smidge of boob pain. I felt more rough when due on tbh.
The 'ms' that I got started week 8/9 and even then it was only last thing in the evening and only needing to vomit cause I was so full.
Didn't have the nausea but seconds later, needing to puke, did, and felt better for it.
I didn't get the womble pains, the implantation bleed, the rough as fuck feeling.
The only things which have been a constant since bfp was spots and greasy hair.
Please try not to worry, we are all built differently, plus it makes the time remaining Sooo very slow.
I remember the scanxiety, the angst, the paranoia. Hell, I was even paranoid when I went for the scan and a little irrational part of me thought 'it was all a pre recorded video' .
I'm still a nutbag about it now. I can look at my belly and it's moving, but because of the anterior placenta, I often don't feel every small movement, so I think there can't possibly be anything in there...

What I'm waffling on about is, it's completely normal. This whole PG/parenthood is an absolute headfuck, to be blunt. But it's normal, so that's something x

Pisghetti · 21/11/2014 11:29

It was a good breakfast.... And I doubt I'll have space for lunch so it'll save me money at least Wink

I don't work in finance Wil (though I have high hopes one day....) Lil does though?

ZylaB · 21/11/2014 11:40

wil my DH does, but it's more loan compliance. Also he's on a boys' weekend in fucking Seville until Monday night grrrr.

Those worrying, my symptoms came and went, shabby boobs, womble pains etc etc would just disappear and I'd panic. Then they came back. I didn't start throwing up for a while and then couldn't keep anything down for ages. Please just remember that every pregnancy is different big hugs

I'm raging at mothercare. The nursing/rocker chair didn't come yesterday. It was out of stock when we decided on it, so I kept checking the website and when it came back up as 'in stock' we ordered immediately, paid extra to pick delivery date and happily waited. DH rang them this morning, apparently they won't be in until mid December and they don't know why we were able to order it. I so wanted to shout and rant that I need my chair cos my back hurts and now I've got to wait a month!

wilmabedrock · 21/11/2014 11:47

Are they paying you back for the extra you paid zyla? I think their customer service for internet orders is supposed to be shocking.

Thanks Pis, I will pop over to other thread to ask her.

ZylaB · 21/11/2014 11:51

Yeah they are wil but it's only £6 or so, I'd rather have known exactly when it'd get here! Oh well lol

DulcetMoans · 21/11/2014 12:08

One of my friends is pregnant! She just sent me the scan! I so want to be her pregnant/maternity leave friend. Please let it be my turn too!

Hope you are feeling better la.

teejayem · 21/11/2014 12:10

It's Friday! woohoo!

Hope everyone's okay, I am holding in my scanxity as much as I can, although I doubt I will sleep on Sunday night. Confused. Went and saw my folks last night and my awesome DM has bought me over the bump leggings. They are superb, and I am never taking them off. (even if my bump is more like a pot belly, it's blissful relief to have something not digging in to my tummy, which has been horrid).

wilmabedrock · 21/11/2014 12:17

They're great Tee. They do annoy me by the end of the day at this stage but comfier than anything else.

Great news Dulcet. Always good to have a mat leave buddy.

BothersomeB · 21/11/2014 12:22

Oooo, I want a mat leave buddy! Have been trying to persuade my sister to get upduffed immediately, but she says they're not ready yet since they only got married in April. How selfish! Envy

Thanks for all the reassuring posts for us first tri panickers - much appreciated.

min - I have to tell you that we've been calling our bean 'minion' since we found out...have already been eyeing up minion baby wear...

Pisghetti · 21/11/2014 12:46

That's great Dulcet! A friend of mine is due in December so our leave will crossover quite a bit.

Shabby boobs Zyla? Speak for yourself, mine are magnificent Wink I should have done a glamour shoot before the bump appeared to capture it really....

Is that your 12 week scan Tee? I thought you were a bit further on.

Nessalina · 21/11/2014 13:13

I work in finance Wil, what do you wanna know? Smile

Cymraes17 · 21/11/2014 13:15

(On the mobile, buttons to close, cant write properly)

teejayem · 21/11/2014 13:37

pis - yep 12 weeks, believe me, it feels like it should be a lot more!!! I'm assuming my dates are right - I had a series of frankly bizzare cycles before getting my bfp, so gawd knows. I look a lt bigger than I would have expected for 12 wks, it's my first, so maybe I just have a weak stomach.

cym argh! What a shitter that you have to wait all day :( yeah, I am planning on drawing up an itinerary of things to do to keep us occupied so I don't start freaking out..

Pisghetti · 21/11/2014 13:40

Oh Cym I meant to say thank you for answering my question Smile we have the option for bump when she gets to school age and we have friends using both.
