Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 15th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The thread we have graduated from is [http://www.mumsnet.com/Talk/conception/2230396-Remember-Remember-JS-in-November-no-to-bum-fun-car-shagging-and-worms-Control-your-stray-wombles-and-windy-boobs-Shout-WANKBADGERS-at-the-world-of-TTC-and-get-your-cape-on-for-JUST-SHAGGING-32 here] in its 32nd outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread in postnatal clubs [http://www.mumsnet.com/Talk/postnatal_clubs/1472763-Just-Mumming-Along-viroids-2?pg=36&order= here] for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates! It's a bit quiet at the moment, but with all these upduffed viroids hopefully it won't be for long!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

So, roll call below please, viroids!

Feeling a bit wobbly & emotional today after the rollercoster of the last few days, nothing's really gone to plan but its all over now & we've got a real live baby to look afterShock will post birth story when I've recovered enough to remember it!

Childcare costs are scary here but nothing compared to the SE. I have a friend with two close together whose wages are obliterated by childcare just outside London. And she has a very good job (hence worth sucking up the pain for a couple of years until they start qualifying for some free hours).

I need a chat with HR about childcare vouchers. I know if you're on SMP and your employer offers them then they're additional to your pay while you're on mat leave effectively meaning you get a bit 'extra' each month to store up for when you need childcare. But as I get an enhanced package I don't know if I'll be expected to do the salary sacrifice out of my mat pay or not. And if so then it might be better for us to hang on for the new childcare scheme planned for next autumn where the government tops up your money. I think I need to do some reading.....

Pisghetti · 20/11/2014 11:04

Awwww scoobs! What a cutie! Hope you're recovering ok.

While you're recovering - did I miss Ness's birth story?

Hope Eli's feeling better soon Cookie

My weight dipped again this morning. I know I shouldn't be monitoring so often but I'm puzzled. With DS my bump was the only thing to grow and I slimmed down a bit on bum/hips. This time I've become massive everywhere but only 4lbs up on conception weight. I shouldn't really be complaining but I don't understand it Confused

RPopz · 20/11/2014 11:05

Congratulations Scoob!! Finally Grin

Yay for milestones ladies Smile xxx Brew Thanks

minimooo · 20/11/2014 11:16

Haha pis! Nope definitely a freelancer over here. Exciting about your MA - it's so rewarding and challenging (in a good way). Would def recommend it. Glad you're feeling better.

Thanks lauren, that's so nice to hear a positive story. Good to know that it can be done. Everyone I know has been employed while pregnant/having babies, so it's unknown territory for me.
So sorry about the sickness, sounds miserable. I find different things work for me on different days - sometimes cheese on toast really settles my stomach, often a glass of ice cold milk does it, but it's not guaranteed. tee's suggestion sounds like good one.

Yay for milestones! Smile

minimooo · 20/11/2014 11:21

Oops, forgot to refresh page before posting!

Sorry Eli's not well cookie. Hope he recovers soon.

Ah, scoob she's gorgeous! Enjoy your snuggles x

laurenamium · 20/11/2014 11:28

Hope Eli gets well soon cookie Sad what's up with him?

Thanks for the stopping sick suggestions, ill try the hypnotherapy! I'm currently waiting call back from GP to see if I'm allowed to take the anti sickness meds at the same time as the aspirin too. They were miracle pills a few weeks ago!

Minion · 20/11/2014 11:29

What a doll scoob, beautiful.
cookie, what's up with Eli? Hope he feels better soon.

TMI klaxon!!!

I was inspecting the twins, as you do, and picked at a little crusty bit on nips... Omg, there's colostrum!
Shit, this is real huh?

Still waiting in for health visitor, she was due at 10. I'm not chasing her, is that wrong?

Have MW this arvo... Quick poll, husband is away for the night (stay cooking child, please), do I do my first lone drive (only about 7 mins), but it's around 3:30 when schools break up, or do I walk and get some air?
Plus I was never really taught to park in spaces, apparently it's not a need to know (balls!) and I'd have to park in the school (children's centre) or waitrose?

So.. I'm handing it over to the viroids for guidance...

Cymraes17 · 20/11/2014 11:33

Fantastic news scoob! Well done.
Every one is v organized with mat leave!
I don't think we have ever had a chat about who would do what and when, DH just took it that I would stay home for a bit and go back to work.
Child care costs are ridiculous, but by now I only work part time, so we save a fortune that way. I worked full time when pg with DC3, and went back after 4.5 mths , did full time for a year, really struggled, so found a part time permanent job. The only thing is that I am the high earner ( or have been, working full time. I'm a primary teacher and teach through Welsh so my English can be a bit strange.)

Ms has gone away since tuesday should I be happy or worried? Cant decide! (11+ 4 weeks today)

ZylaB · 20/11/2014 11:43

Hope eli gets better soon cookie

scoob she's lovely! And yay for newborn cuddles Grin

ZylaB · 20/11/2014 11:47

min it depends how confident you're feeling. If you're a bit worried it might be better to go and practice the route and parking when it's quiet first? If you're happy wi it, go for it, but I'd recommend going a bit early so you have plenty of time and aren't worrying if it tKes a couple of goes :)

TheBooMonster · 20/11/2014 12:19

min I would personally say if you're not confident you can park then wait till you have another driver with you, else you'll get all panic just before your appointment. I'm very surprised you weren't taught to park, it was one of the few things I mastered when taking driving lessons, can't drive to save my life, but can park like a boss...

oh no cookie what's wrong with Eli?

OP posts:
Nessalina · 20/11/2014 13:26

I never actually got round to posting my birth story Blush If you guys are interested I'll try to write it up during BFs today!

Min - I say go for it Grin Just leave yourself shed loads of time!!

Pisghetti · 20/11/2014 13:27

Quick question Cym - do you think a child needs a Welsh speaking parent (fluent rather than pigeon Welsh or learner) to get on in a Welsh language primary?

I'm also surprised you weren't taught to park Min I spent many an hour in a quiet car park with my instructor (ooh err) backing into spaces and came pretty close to failing my second test at the last moment by reversing too far back at the test centre! If Waitrose has a quiet corner you may be ok but if it is dry and fine out then the fresh air might do you good Smile

RPopz · 20/11/2014 13:30

Not surprising you feel that way Scoob - take care of yourself and beautiful Skyla. We'll still be here when you get back Smile Great picture! x

RPopz · 20/11/2014 13:30

Yay for birth stories!!

cookielove · 20/11/2014 13:50

He is full of cold and sounds really croaky when he coughs!

scoob what a cutie pie :)

Minion · 20/11/2014 15:00

I did it! I popped in my 90s dance cd and drove! All on my tod.
I know have to work out how to reverse out of said space.. But fuck it. For now, I did it!!

I know I own a house and about to drop a sprog, but this, this makes me feel like an adult!

Cymraes17 · 20/11/2014 15:01

Pis any kind of Welsh is great for your DC. They learn so much in the first 5-6 years, and can pick things up easily. You most definetly dont have to be fluent to pass it on. Stats show that bilingual children tend to have a higher IQ and the earlier you start the better ( this is true with any additional language not just Welsh- am I coming over all Welsh-nashy? Sorry!)

wilmabedrock · 20/11/2014 15:10

I wish we had kept our language up here more Cym. Noone I know can speak Gaelic.

Furry, she's gorgeous.

Hope Elijah is better soon Cookie.

Have had the slowest/easiest day at work today which is good in a way except I've already almost fallen asleep once. Roll on 6 o'clock!

freshstart4us · 20/11/2014 15:38

Furry she is BEAUTIFUL! Congratulations to you on a job very well done and welcome Skyla!

Min also a very well done on your progression to adulthood. Wink Reversing purely optional if the kerbs are low/you aren't parked into a wall btw. LOL

Cookie so sorry Eli is under the weather. Hopefully still feeding well though I know they really struggle when not able to breathe through their noses. It is heartwrenching.

Goodness some of you have gone back to work early! I went back 2 days at 9 months and found that great, if only I could have stayed at 2. But alas finances meant I had to increase back to full time, although I do work Fridays from home thank f**k. By the end of Mon-Thu nursery DD, DH and I are all completely shattered, DD still says she doesn't want to go, she was upset every day on drop offs until she was 2.5 and I still feel constantly guilty for taking her. DH only agreed to go again if I agreed to SAH, which is daunting in itself as I don't know how I'm going do with that. But I will NOT miss the daily guilt, that's for sure!

ZylaB · 20/11/2014 15:40

Well done min

The cotbed, wardrobe and dresser/changer are here, assembled and fit well! The curtains are up (may need an iron but I'm crossing fingers the creases will drop out lol) and I'm just waiting on the rocker and footstool from mothercare, it's meant to be coming today and I waaaaaants it! Then I have to wait a month before putting the tree and animal stickers up cos its freshly painted. I might put her name letters up before that though as I doubt I'll be able to wait.

I've got at least another 3 months to wait before I can use it, but it'll be so nice (she's in with us for nights for the first 6 months but I think I'll use the nursery for naps and maybe some feeding on comfy chair as I'll want to use the pretty room!)

Apologies for the excited rant hehe Blush

freshstart4us · 20/11/2014 15:40

Forgot to say Furry that is a truly lovely name, well done!

And I vote a hell yeah for birth stories!

Nessalina · 20/11/2014 15:54

I didn't realise there was a pic Scoob stupid app! - she's gorgeous! Grin

Yay Min! Good work! Backing out's not so bad Grin I never learned it in my lessons, apparently some test centres don't test on it, it depends on their car parks as the whether or not they can, so mine never did and I never learned it!
It's not so bad though, I just never reverse in, that's way too hard! Shock

Oh cookie, the poor pet Confused Will you take him to GPs?

Zyla - how thrilling!! It's great seeing it all come together Smile
