Frenetic I am so happy for you, screw the lot of them! And enjoy the rest!

Donkir that is great about the house swap!

Sorry for not mentioning everrything, thread moved so fast today. We left the house at 6.30 am and got back at 6pm, my tail bone is agony from sitting in docs, hospital and car.
My levels in my blood have sky rocketed, normally high at 47-50 (most peoples are 17 or below) at start of pregnancy it dropped to 22, it should have lowered more by now but is 93! They have upped my meds. White blood count apparently causes migraines and heart palpetations! So need to speak to cardio on weds, this consultant wants me induced at 36-38 weeks but as he isn't to do with maternity dept I need to speak to the maternity team about it.

We went to Meadowhall for less than 2 hours, I was in hospital forc so long we didn't have long, but I had to walk around before sitting for hours again, got the baby some little legging type trousers in black and white stripes with bees on the knees, it came in a set with babygrow, vest, hat.

LittleMissSunshine33 · 01/12/2014 21:15

I've been given lots of newborn clothes but only up to 9lbs! I'll be lucky to have a baby much less than that! As we don't know the sex I don't want to buy much bigger ... Maybe I should get a few things?! Blush

GeekyHybrid · 01/12/2014 21:17

Yay for you frenetic - so relieved that you've managed to get away from those nasty people. Now you can relax and try enjoy your pregnancy. If you do have a cold, you're right, not a lot you can take. I just drank copious amounts of hot Ribena and rode it out on the sofa. What better time than to indulge in feeling sorry for yourself whilst relaxing on the sofa with a book / dvd boxset?! And when it clears, the world is your oyster :-)

Donkir - congrats on the house swop, the advantage of moving with a really little one will be that they really have no idea about what is going on so will be no more fazed by it than any other day!

Blank - don't panic, we've hardly done any shopping either.

We've been given all sorts of odds and ends, that we haven't sorted out yet. The only reason we bought stuff this weekend was that Tesco are so desperate to get us shopping there again that they sent us a voucher giving us £6 off a £40 shop. We had a friends boys 1st birthday party to go to and I do like some of the baby clothing at Tesco, so as well as cute outfit for friend's lad we bought some nappies, baby grows, maternity pads etc.. and they had tommy tepee stuff at half price so got manual breast pump and small bottle pack in case breastfeeding doesn't go to plan. But I'm not getting anything else until we're back in our room (carpet arrives in 2 weeks) so that our furniture is out of what will be the nursery and I can then start getting sorted in there. At the moment everything is in random piles around the house, we can barely move as it is :-/ One day I'll get organised, one day....

Memphisbelly · 01/12/2014 22:21

I am so desperate to get organised too, I have done 90% of my wrapping tonight, I have dh's presents, and couple more to wrap and 3 left to buy and xmas is done Grin need to take a unit to mums so we then have space to get xmas decs and crib from loft.
Also need to flip our bed in a hope the opposite way will fit crib in our room.

Tomorrow after work though I need to organise all the many bags of gifts rather than dumping them all over the cot/baby stuff!

Just had an email from my consultant I saw today, they rushed todays bloods through blood count has increased again since tests taken 2 weeks ago, he also said although im taking double folic acid dose they recommend I have almost non existent levels of it in my blood Shock

Sorry for me me me post my head is gone and dh is asleep

Bangonthedoor · 01/12/2014 22:27

Ugh after only thinking to myself yesterday how lucky I've been this time round experiencing very little acid....I've jinxed myself! I'm lying here propped up in bed feeling like I'm about to boil over! Confused

JacktheLab · 02/12/2014 06:52

Good morning all,

Jen how did you get on with your scan yesterday?

Hope everyone else has a better day today, I find now I am running out of energy to do much, even crafting! I sat for most of the day yesterday on the sofa just watching terrible tv, not quite at the stage of having naps, but I don't think that they are far away! Still things will be so busy in two months time I'm trying to not to feel too guilty about it!

Bang I'm with you on the heartburn, it's really ramping up now, DS was quite hairy when he was born (a wee fuzzy covering all over his back, which he has still got a bit of now at three!) so thinking this one is going to be the same too!

Frenetic, hope you have a really lovely day today, first day of maternity leave :D

Sorry about not mentioning everyone, I read everyone's posts honest!

Memphisbelly · 02/12/2014 08:12

Bang I am ok until tea time and by bedtime I feel like a volcano, finally remembered to get the tabs from docs so hoping thats the end of my heartburn now.
I hope this makes this baby a hairy one....but ds was balder than bald!

Hope you all have a good day today, I am going work, dh off ill...2 more sleeps until holibobs

Grinningcat · 02/12/2014 08:22

Don't worry about me me me posts memphis, that is what we are here for. Do they have any idea why you aren't absorbing all the folic acid you're taking?

28 week appointment today. Will get results of my bloods, but I've no reason to think they wouldn't be as expected. Will also have my first bump measurement today as well. Also need to remember to book in my Whooping Cough jab. Something else to look forward to...

BanglesSpangles · 02/12/2014 09:46

Morning all, still feeling 70% rubbish, so am working from home. Am sitting on the sofa in a tshirt drenched in sweat. Glam.

Memphis- youre sounding ridiculously organised to me! Hope the folic acid levels pick up again

Grinning- i booked my whooping cough in about 3 weeks back and they couldnt fit me in for ages! Was only meant to be having it tomorrow!

jenmcspen · 02/12/2014 09:48

Ended up spending all day in hospital before they decided I wouldn't need another liver scan yet. Then took over 2 hours to be discharged and to get my meds, at which point I was starving as wasn't supposed to eat before the scan.
Sitting in hospital all day has meant my pgp is now horrendous and I can barely walk Sad
Feeling a bit low today, especially when I know about all the risks to bump. Trying to be positive but I'm scared.

freneticfox · 02/12/2014 10:20

Memphis - is the white blood count something you have normally, or just pregnancy? Nonetheless, hope you're doing ok.

You're all far more organised than me RE: Christmas. 17th Dec is the two-year mark since my Dad died, so I feel like I'm on autopilot until then. I'll probably try and do as much shopping online as possible, all the shops in their Christmassy loveliness is just a bit too hard at the moment. Next year will be a different ball game though, it'll all be for our little fox cub!

Wish I could take it easy today... second consultant appointment about ELCS request. Feeling a lot more combative than last time. Bring it on.

Since last night I've had period-like pains in my lower back. They don't come and go, it's just a constant dull ache so I don't think it's BH. Something I should worry about or another glamorous prize of pregnancy?!

freneticfox · 02/12/2014 10:22

jen We're here for handholding. Try and make the most of rest - do you have a gym ball at all? Sitting on that is really helping my PGP pain Flowers

hanflan · 02/12/2014 12:37

frenetic let us know how you get on with the consultant, I hope you don't need to put up too much of a fight!

hanflan · 02/12/2014 12:45

jen I am really sorry you are going through all this, it must be such a worry. We are all here for hand holding, and hopefully to cheer you up if you need it!

On a less important and slightly shallow note, our Uppababy Vista travel system arrived and it is bloody amazing, I love it! I want to take it for a stroll around the village but would look like a complete nutter. "Errr, you seem to have forgotten your baby" pahaha

Grinningcat · 02/12/2014 14:06

Wwell 28 week app went well. All normal including GTT results and bump is measuring spot on. Also had my anti D there and then so my arm is really sore now. Whooping Cough jab booked for a fortnight so at least I can get it over and done with before Christmas. Oh and have my antenatal workshop booked for 24th Jan. Feeling very efficient. Wish I could push my motivation into my work life where I really can't be arsed today.

donkir · 02/12/2014 14:32

Sorry some of you are still feeling rubbish and having lots of appointments. The things we go through hey!

Eek I've put on 25.3lbs and still have 9 weeks to go. Isn't the normal range up to 28lbs?

donkir · 02/12/2014 14:35

No I'm wrong normal is 25-35lbs so I'm ok. Although 3lbs in one week whoops must lay off the chocolate.

Grinningcat · 02/12/2014 14:54

Thanks donkir you've made me feel better. I've put on 20lbs and I've 12 weeks to go. I was starting to worry it was too much, but from your post that sounds okay.

Memphisbelly · 02/12/2014 16:15

Frenetic I think it is something that has risen since being pregnant and it shouldn't rise, hope all has gone well for you today. Sorry this time of year is so hard for you as you say next year will have something to focus on, the nice thing about being due in new year our babies will be toddling/crawling and into everything by next christmas it will be so magical for us all.

Donkir I have now put on 8 pound but I spoke to 2 mums at school one put on 4 stone and the other 5 so you are a way behind them and their docs were not concerned.

Jen hope you are doing ok, was speaking to a customer today and thought I would tell you her story as it seemed very positive, she went from 9.5 stone before pregnancy down to 7 stone when 35 weeks, her docs were very concerned for her and baby as she couldn't keep weight on, they induced her at 36 weeks and the baby was fine weighing 6 pound 9oz! Thry let her home the next day and 5 months on she has gained all the weight she lost, the condition righted itself once baby was out. Hope this story makes you feel a bit more positive.

Baby has moved I think it is still transverse but looking down as top on bump has filled up everyone is saying I look fit to pop today, was sick doing my shoes up as there is no room to bend! Also very breathless today

freneticfox · 02/12/2014 17:15

ELCS refused. Onto another hospital I go...

WhyOWhyWouldYou · 02/12/2014 17:21

Frenetic - refused?!?! On what bloody grounds? That's appalling. I'm so sorry to hear that.

WhyOWhyWouldYou · 02/12/2014 17:25

frenetic Since your hospital is not complying with NICE best practice guidelines, did you ask how else they plan to fully meet your physical, emotional and psychological wellbeing?

Memphisbelly · 02/12/2014 17:31

Frenetic I have no words at all. I cannot believe they have refused you again!

freneticfox · 02/12/2014 17:32

They didn't give a shit, basically. Just said they refuse to perform unnecessary surgery. She used air quotes a lot and treated me and my husband like naive teens. Once we're in the care of a better hospital, I'll be complaining.

I've read utter horror stories about my local hospital... Now I have my own. Vile, awful experience.

Memphisbelly · 02/12/2014 17:37

Is that the new hospital? i had heard a fee horror stories but over last year was told they had really bucked their ideas up and sorted themselves out.
Try and think positively that because you aren't at work you have enough time in the day to get the ball rolling tomorrow to find another hospital
