M33R I'll be 36 weeks on Monday....and I'm sorry to say I haven't stopped growing yet. Every week I seem to get bigger and every week I think there cannot be any more space for growing. I'm struggling to believe there is another 4-6 weeks growth in there. I am ALL out front at under 5ft there isn't much room up down so it really is all out.

Hope you find your notes Twitt.

I've just had a cut and finish and tomorrow I think I am going to settle down to some nail art and a bath. Its time for a bit of pampering I feel.

Hope you ladies are all finding some paper time in the schedules.

Only two more Friday's after this one. I cannot wait to get on leave.

Oh and to the crafters my 'cute and easy crocheted baby clothes' book arrived today, it has some really lovely stuff in it. Hope to be able to share some crafting with you soon.

theonewiththenoisychild · 23/01/2015 11:44

hope you find your notes twitt
We are painting the bedroom this weekend. but the bedroom is going to need to be empty so it looks like everything will be in dd's and ds's bedrooms over the weekend. so a fun weekend camping out in the livingroom. and the mid to end of next week the scaffolding goes up and the roofers get to work on my leaky roof so depending how cold it is we might well end up sleeping downstairs again...... oh joy Sad and we are painting the front hall and back hall and stairs and landing next weekend too. need to get that all done fast so cracking on with it. And got a good deal on crown paint at b&q so got it all in one go £9 per tin

Gudgyx · 23/01/2015 12:05

nothing has come through meer? sort it out mn!!

I'm 34 weeks now and I swear I've grown more in the last 4 weeks than in the full time before that! Dunno where she's going to go next

Twittwooo · 23/01/2015 16:03

Found my notes! As I suspected I had put them in a 'safe place' - but forgot I'd done it. I think that's what they call baby brain (as much as I hate the phrase). I ventured into town today and bought two nighties from Primark as well as some very unglamorous big knickers. I'd planned to treat myself to a nice overnight bag too but didn't have the energy to shop around to find one. I might just use a small wheely suitcase and a rucksack for baby's things in the end. So, I'm very slowly getting there with the organisation thing! Still lots to do though, including organising childcare for our 2 year old. Lovely friends have offered, but they all work to some extent, and parents aren't local so it's a slight worry but I'm sure it will all work out. What are others with small children doing?

theonewiththenoisychild · 23/01/2015 22:12

well my landlord just phoned. and the scaffolding is going up tomorrow morning now instead of middle of next week

theonewiththenoisychild · 24/01/2015 20:07

Hi ladies. Well the scaffolding went up today. just waiting to hear when the roofing company will start work on the roof. And the bedroom painting is almost finished. even tho it has been total chaos here all day things are going in the right direction. We are hoping that by the end of tomorrow we might be able to put the furniture back where it belongs so we can sleep in our bed. in need of a nice bath and a hot chocolate i think tonight. followed by an early night

hyperspacebug · 25/01/2015 01:34

Tentative looking in back to say hello. Remember epic first trimester threads here - where did time go!

I'm due with DC3 end of March, which is around my DC1's birthday.

With previous DCs community midwives were brilliant, encouraging during antenatal care and I had their mobile numbers. Here after the move into different area, not so much. Just really rushed GP appointments and no mobile contacts.

Last week GP sent not very usefully worded letter 'you may be anaemic' without saying actual number of Hb levels with prescription for ferrous sulphates attached.

I just got Floradix instead. No idea what right dosage is supposed to be without knowing whether I am badly anaemic or not. Tried to contact midwives about actual Hb numbers but no one's got back to me so far.

Ellizardo · 25/01/2015 22:03

Welcome back hyper. Odd treatment by your new GP. hope someone gets back to you soon. Sounds like you're on the receiving end of NHS regional idiosyncrasies! This whole pregnancy (my first) has been real learning curve for me in terms of understanding the process.
Speaking of which, buggies: pré-ordered the new Uppababy Vista in Taylor Indigo and it looks like it's THE most popular colour with orders now being taken for April. Had panic that baby would arrive six weeks before its executive transport!
Reassured by the guy tho who said I'd been so efficient I'm in the first batch of orders. Minor victory relief all round!
Hope everyone had a good weekend?

Ellizardo · 25/01/2015 22:05

PS noisy - particularly thinking of you with all the building repair work!

ZylaB · 26/01/2015 03:02

ellizardo they're meant to be coming into the country the second week in feb I think, so should be plenty of time for you? I need to ring the company I used to confirm that though cos I want to play with it :)

Ellizardo · 26/01/2015 08:34

Zyla- yep they said 'first thing Feb' so should be fine. I notice John Lewis out of that colour too...what shade are you getting again? It's the last piece of major baby paraphernalia I'm getting too and can't wait to play too!

Butterpuff · 26/01/2015 09:43

Morning All,

Hope the roofing work has/is going well the one.

I'm getting tired of the building site myself. We went home on Friday night to see how it was going, plumber was just packing up, told us he was finished and showed us how to use the new set up. Said we should run the system at full temp for 48 hours to bed it in then were good to go with our own settings. Plasterer was due sat am to do the last of the messy jobs so everything was looking like it was going in the right direction.

Saturday got a call from the plasterer, poor chap had sprung a leak at home and had to sort out the flood in his flat. Said he would come Sunday. So we spend Saturday cleaning the inch of dust of everything and taping up doors for Sunday in sweltering heat.

Went in Sunday after NCT to see how plasterer was getting on....to find that the heating system had completely packed in.

So another night at MIL and hoping the plumber will be back round to fit it today. Plasterer does say he will be finished by weds. And electrician hopefully by the weekend.

I just want to go home to my own house. 36 weeks today, its too close to to staying with MIL living out of a very small suitcase.

To top it off last night MIL (having been very good so far) decided to start sharing her views of child rearing. - get it out of your room by 1 month. Don't be ridiculous by thinking you will have it in your room for 6 months. Get it on a bottle as soon as possible. Don't expect to get dressed during the day you will be a slave to the baby and will need me and your mother to cope. Names must be professional with a cute nickname (I have a short name which is not in the least professional or it will be a failure, so that one always gets to me. I have pretty successful in my opinion) and finally, the best of them all. I think I will be called MumaX big smile.

Sorry, I have written an essay length rant.

Hope everyone else is feeling a little less ranty today and your all having the best start to the week possible.

ZylaB · 26/01/2015 09:53

Ellizardo - in the Samantha Amythyst Grin

Am 34+3 today and DH reminded me I won't be pregnant any more at some point in the next 4 weeks! Eeeeek

Butterpuff · 26/01/2015 10:02

Are you going early then Zyla?

4 weeks really isn't very long is it!!

Lifeisabeach · 26/01/2015 10:48

Wow Zyla, only 4 weeks!! Exciting and scary!

Butterpuff, I really hope you get home soon, I imagine you really need to be back in your own space. Especially with MIL dispensing that kind of advice! My MIL was quite overbearing when I had DC1 - she insisted on coming over to "bond with the baby" and at the time I was just trying to get BFing established and finding things tough, and really didn't want her around all the time. I had to lay down a few ground rules and luckily she seemed to understand and we get on really well now.

I'm 32 weeks today and slowly getting there with the organisation. Think the nesting thing is starting to kick in too, as I've been trying to declutter and streamline things in the house. With 2 DCs already, we just have so much "stuff", and I want it to look lovely and tidy and minimal..never going to happen though!

ZylaB · 26/01/2015 11:23

Yeah, they'll induce if I get to 38 weeks, but was in hospital last weekend and it wasn't looking likely. We're still going though, want to get to at least 36 weeks if I can! :)

fishfingerSarnies · 26/01/2015 13:45

Wow loads going on her.
Feeling for all of you with building stuff going on. When my bathroom was being done I was in hell.

Some one was asking about child care for other dcs my dd is going to stay with Mil for the week I will be having my cs however if I go early I don't know what will happen as I'm going to try for vbac if I go into labour naturally. I have a few friends I can call on to look after dd so will just rely on them to share her amongst themselves while they allso tag team in with being birth partner. Would all be so much easier if my dh was home, what to do with my dog is the real problem.

Zyla that is so soon how exciting! Why will they induce early?

theonewiththenoisychild · 26/01/2015 14:15

thanks ellizardo

butter its very stressful having work done isnt it? luckily ours is outside apart from the painting which painting our bedroom has meant me and oh and our 2 dc's sleeping downstairs all weekend. our bedroom will be back to a functioning state by tonight tho so not too bad. i have a busy week this week then more painting over the weekend. luckily that wont disrupt the sleeping arrangements tho. the landlord says he plans to do some of the upgrades on the house from end of march early april tho so it looks like we will have a newborn in the house while all the work inside takes place

ZylaB · 26/01/2015 16:02

fishfinger I'm type 1 diabetic and our placentas don't last as long, so induction at 38 weeks :). I was in with high bp/worries from them about preeclampsia as I'm high risk for that too, but they let me back out. I'm just wanting to manage a few more weeks!

M27J5M · 26/01/2015 17:03

I feel for you all with building work getting done! My moans of decorating are nothing compared to that!

Oh it's exciting to think all our bubs will be arriving soon! Doesn't seem so long ago we were all only finding out Smile

Gudgyx · 26/01/2015 20:13

Meer I tried messaging u see if that works for that massage ladies number ?? himself has offered to pay for it since he's in the bad books

Fondue42 · 26/01/2015 20:48

Question time: what size of microwave do you need to sterilise bottles in? :/ feeling somewhat clueless today! Not good for getting organised!

I am amazed at the ladies that are having building work done at the moment - I think that would just about finish off my frazzled brain at the moment, not to mention staying with the MIL! I'll slap a bit of paint on a brush at some point and get the bairn's room sorted, but that's my limit right now. Suddenly everything seems to be just that bit harder to do, mentally and physically... I suppose that's all to do with the baby growing well so really shouldn't complain eh!

fishfingerSarnies · 26/01/2015 22:41

Glad the preeclampsia/BP isn't worrying them too much zyla, fingers crossed you keep baby in as long as possible.
Really not long for some of you, we are all on the final stretch I guess.
I've still got 6/7 weeks or so untill c-section though I'm starting to think I wouldn't mind going early and naturally, if dh was going to be around for the birth I think I'd try for a vbac I do like the idea of a quicker recovery time, I'm really worried how I'm going to cope pretty much alone for two weeks post section with a new born, a toddler and a slightly crazy teenage dog. My mum can only come down for three days the weekend after my section I had thought I'd get her for a week. Going to have to rely quite heavily on my friends I really hope they don't mind.
I didn't know microwaves came in different sizes, but I had a little plastic pot that fitted my breastpump bits in and a small bottle, I breastfed though so don't know about sterilising for bottle feeding.
Finding everything so tiring just putting my pj's on earlier left me out of breath.

fourmonthstogo · 27/01/2015 09:18

I have the need to de clutter and streamline line too, it's amazing! I'm not a super tidy person at all but I am itching to get things done all the time! Got the babies cot up yesterday, and had a quiet 5 mins just sat in his room getting excited about him coming soon!
Got the midwife this morning, will find out if she thinks he's in the right position as there was a suggestion earlier he may be breach. Fingers crossed he's moved!

theonewiththenoisychild · 27/01/2015 09:19

fondue most microwave sterilisers fit most microwaves but i dont recomend the sterilisers with the big dome tops as my sister had a big microwave and it was a bit of a squeeze

im lucky all the building work is outside for me until after baby arrives. nothing like all the work butter is having done at the moment. its just painting inside at the moment. my landlord is quite good. he is thinking of buying gravel and shrubs and doing a bit of gardenung for us too. the front garden is looking a bit scruffy but he knows theres limits to what oh can do (health problems)
