Petal only I am tucked up in bed you have made me want to walk to the shop for some chocolate cake! Pass on the squirty cream though! Wouldn't mind some ice cream but will settle for my choccie bikkies and packet of crisps Sad

Hope things are moving for you twiglet
I have given up on the fact I'm due in almost 2 days after being unfavourable yesterday with my sweep. Think I'm going to add another 10 days to my count down....

Thehedgehogsong · 12/11/2014 21:51

I want to have a temper tantrum. I am cramping, having regular tightenings, I feel like I'm leaking, I'm tearful, and fed up! I know this is going to lead to nothing, so I'm not making a big deal about it, which is probably why DH and DD aren't at all bothered and DD is still asking me 20 questions a minute and climbing on me and not going the frick to sleep!
I want to go to a hotel!

WorkFreeWannabe · 12/11/2014 22:14

Hedgehog, you sound exactly how I felt yesterday. It's so frustrating and upsetting. Feel free to have a good sob into your pillow. I did out of sheer frustration and felt much better afterwards. It was either that or shout at something or someone!

amy83firsttimer · 12/11/2014 22:35

Why do you think it'll come to nothing?

OP posts:
Thehedgehogsong · 12/11/2014 23:00

I just have a feeling I'll go to sleep and wake up with nothing happening, like last week!
I do have a hair appointment tomorrow. Perhaps the Sod's law thing will work it's magic?!

amy83firsttimer · 12/11/2014 23:06

How frequent are the tightenings?

Congratulations Moggle and Annarose! Very exciting to read good news! Hang on in there everyone else. We will all get there too.

Sympathy utopia. I'm sorry I don't know the history but if baby does come before you finish, can you pause the job for a few weeks until you're a bit more settled?

I also love hedgehog's suggestion of "The one where I just start pushing and see what happens" - tempting! BTW, I've been meaning to ask you if your name is a reference to nanny oggs song in the terry pratchett books?

Will keep my fingers crossed for you TwigletFiend and Hedgehog - and everyone else too, of course!

Also now want chocolate cake and squirty cream. 2 days left at work before I start maternity leave. Finding it hard to wrap my head around not working for 6 months and having small, incredibly vulnerable person dependent on me. Scary stuff!

Thehedgehogsong · 12/11/2014 23:12

DrBlondie yes it is Nanny Ogg's song Grin
Amy they are really unpredictable, every 3 mins then every 10 mins then nothing but on/off cramps and back ache for an hour, then more tightenings. Not letting up but not getting worse either. I'm sure it's just my uterus playing silly buggers! How come you're up late too?

Thehedgehogsong · 12/11/2014 23:15

Also thanks workfree. DD and DH finally asleep and quiet now so I can sob and strop some more relax enough to try and sleep myself!

DrBlondie · 12/11/2014 23:15

Awesome name choice Grin

amy83firsttimer · 12/11/2014 23:23

This isn't too late as I had a nap. Been out for curry - just feel restless. Got sweep in the morning so should get to bed in case it works. I've made the new thread btw. Fingers crossed for some overnight babies.

Fingers crossed for your sweep Amy, hope it kicks things off Smile

ToniWol · 12/11/2014 23:28

Maybe this is it, Twiglet and hedgehog (another PTerry fan here BTW, just had a Tiffany re-read).

The Sod's law plan didn't work. Have been on a 40 mile car journey and back with only a few intermittent twinges. Maybe DH being an hours drive away tomorrow night will work better...?

TwigletFiend · 12/11/2014 23:46

hedgehog, it's not just you. My 'cramps' (I'm sure they're contractions, they bloody hurt!) are so irregular. One every fifteen minutes for ages, then twenty minutes without anything, then one every seven minutes, one every four minutes, one every ten minutes again.

Argh! GrumpyTwiglet this evening.

excitedforbaba · 12/11/2014 23:52

Good luck tomorrow Amy hope yours works for you, when are/where you due? Iv lost the date page again!

amy83firsttimer · 13/11/2014 00:04

Was due Monday so will be 40+3. Not lost any plug though which is disappointing. Really should be sleeping, mw at 10.00! Night night all.

Sounds promising twiglet
