OhMjh · 11/11/2014 13:37

How exciting, it's all happening today! Congratulations on the baby and waters going!

Feeling incredibly sick after my sweep yesterday, didn't sleep at all but I've had my show/lost my plug which I can only take as a good sign..

GiantHulkHands · 11/11/2014 13:44

Congrats Blamber and good luck Anna! It's all so exciting.

I'm 39+5, watching Gilmore Girls and guzzling chocolate. Can't wait to meet BabyHulkHands.

moggle · 11/11/2014 15:00

Congrats blamber and all the others whose babies have arrived!! Anna mega exciting, good luck with everything!
39+1 today and not much happening although think I am losing my plug today which is exciting; nice to know things are heading the right way even if it could be days and days before anything gets going. We're going for a curry tonight so who knows, maybe that'll get things moving...
I am feeling fairly ready- the freezer is full of meals, the bednest came at the weekend and the cot arrived today, and I'm making the nursery curtains... So if it does want to come soon I'll be quite happy :-)

excitedforbaba · 11/11/2014 15:43

Congratulations Blamber

Eeeek Anna hope all goes well for u and excited to hear your news!!

Very disappointing day here, woke up after awful BH & pains to nothing! had midwife appointment for bloods etc and she offered me a sweep today instead of having to go up again on Fri! Thought yes I will be so ready for this...

Not one bit favourable! Sad

If I found it incredibly uncomfortable how will I deal with getting a baby out lol Confused

OhMjh · 11/11/2014 17:17

excitedforbaba I found it horribly uncomfortable, similar to having a coil put in, but the awkward small talk with my midwife as she rummaged was worse! We were in my lounge, she offered me a sweep and I asked if she wanted to move to the bedroom for more privacy..Blush

haventgotaclue1 · 11/11/2014 17:33

OhMjh I've got one booked in for about a week and a half (when I'll be 41 weeks) and the MW is coming to my home to do it...I'd just assumed it would be with me lying on my bed....not in the lounge Blush!!!

excitedforbaba · 11/11/2014 17:39

Very fortunate I was at the surgery for mine then! Don't think I'd feel comfortable on the sofa!

It definitely was uncomfortable but if nothing happens between now and Mon when I'm 40+2 I will brave another!

We're you at all favourable ohmjh? Any symptoms since?

Sazhoopz · 11/11/2014 17:42

Congrats Blamber & hope everything is progressing well Anna

Nothing really to report here, seemed to have developed a cold. Looking forward to Friday & my sweep as really can't see anything happening before then.

OhMjh · 11/11/2014 17:54

I was indeed! Cervix soft, thinning, central and 2cm so she could get two fingers in to have a good root around. She could feel baby's head to the point she told me she didn't have much hair.. I lost my plug earlier today and had what I can assume is a show today too, I feel horribly nauseous and now I'm having some pretty nasty back pain and the odd contraction - it's raining so I've been wandering around my living room and living on my birthing ball while OH stares at me..

excitedforbaba · 11/11/2014 18:40

I'm so jealous ohmjh
Hopefully won't be long for you now!

I have a feeling I will be the full 10 days over at this rate now...

Petal26 · 11/11/2014 19:56

excited and ohmjh that's why I've refused a sweep this time, I found them uncomfortable with DD and my cervix was too high anyway so they did nothing. I'm uncomfortable enough as it is at the moment! Hope yours work though :-)

Congratulations blamber
Hope everything is going well anna Grin

Not much to report here, 2 days late and counting! Waiting, waiting, waiting....

GiantHulkHands · 11/11/2014 20:37

I have lost a bit of my plug! Going to sit on birthing ball for a while then watch The Missing at 9pm.

Thehedgehogsong · 11/11/2014 21:05

I can't watch that program Hulk. I'm sticking with the Big Bang theory.

Congrats on the plug! (Weird to be congratulating someone on a 'knicker sneeze' haha!)

weeonion · 11/11/2014 21:22

Evening folks! Hey there and glad to see more babies appearing!

sorry haven't kept up to date with you all - immersed in the fog of newborn and breastfeeding trials.

will be back tomorrow to see how you are all doing. X

WorkFreeWannabe · 11/11/2014 21:37

Having quite an emotional evening. Feel like I could burst into tears at any moment but for no particular reason. I have no appetite but know I need to eat something.

Bump has gone rock hard and is sore to touch. Especially the bottom half. And right hand side. DH has left me alone to watch movies downstairs so that could be why I'm feeling sorry for myself.

DrBlondie · 11/11/2014 21:57

Congratulations Blamber!

Oh, exciting Annarose! Hope that all is going smoothly for you.

Seems to be some positive signs for some of us... although it seems a bit wrong to be happy to be in pain! Anyway, you know what I mean Grin Hope everyone is well and coping.

utopian99 · 12/11/2014 09:18

Very quiet this morning? Is everyone bar me in labour? ?

amy83firsttimer · 12/11/2014 09:33

Unfortunately not! Just nothing to report. Sad

Thehedgehogsong · 12/11/2014 09:39

No labour here! 38 weeks tomorrow woooo!
Quiet day at home with dd today. It's tipping it down with rain, so we are staying in and crafting the day away. I want to make 24 activity cards for advent, I'm worried I won't have the energy for 24 days of excitement though! I'm putting easy things in like dance to Xmas songs and have hot chocolate before bed. This morning I cried at the coca cola advert, think I might be a bit over excited!

ladydolly · 12/11/2014 09:42

Same, just binge watching mad men before swimming followed by 41 wk MW appt.

work free are you feeling better this morning? Those hormones are a bitch huh?

ToniWol · 12/11/2014 10:04

Nope. Am thinking of attempting the Sod's law method of inducing labour by going with DH to his rehearsal 40+ miles away tonight though.

Hope everyone else is okay.

TwigletFiend · 12/11/2014 10:18

So, plug went during the night. Been having intermittent cramps since 4:00 this morning, but no real pattern. Too uncomfortable to sleep through though, though I have been and mucked my horse out this morning. Could be the start of something but not holding my breath - not due until Monday and neither of us are particularly punctual people!! Grin

haventgotaclue1 · 12/11/2014 10:25

No Utopian, not just you Smile. Nothing going on here, although for some reason I decided it was a good idea to start cleaning the oven at 9.30 yesterday evening...(secretly hoping it's the first signs of nesting!)...finished it off this morning and now it's all lovely and sparkly clean Grin

It's pouring with rain here so can't even go for a shuffle / waddle...may do some baking, but a bit put off in case I mess up the nice clean oven Confused

Hope all's OK with you Annarose.....

WorkFreeWannabe · 12/11/2014 11:10

Thanks Lady. Feeling a lot better today. Had a bit of a cry last night. Due date tomorrow and no signs whatsoever damn you midwives and your theories I'll be early 5weeks ago! I Also had the realisation that this thread will end soon and I'll still be on it not that I don't like you guys Wink.

Found DH downstairs completely comatose to the point the TV had switched itself off. Preggo rage nearly took over! Then he came to bed and the smell of his new shower gel made me want to vomit.

Good news on the plug Twiglet.

catg83 · 12/11/2014 11:21

Exciting stuff Twiglet!

He has moved. He is no longer back to back. His back has moved round to my left side which makes sense as he has been doing HUGE rolling movements the past few days. My blood pressure is a little high but still within norms. They are very happy to leave me be for now. They has suggested a sweep at my appointment in a weeks time so we will see what I feel like then. They also told me about the out patient induction they now do. They would suggest it 2 weeks after due date. You go in for a scan, an hour or so of monitoring, pessary, another hour of monitoring and then send you home. I presumed I would have to stay in if they do an induction so that made me a feel a lot better. x
