Had whooping cough jab today ouch that is a stingy one, and DS has slapped cheek/parvo so emergency blood test Tomoz to see if I have immunity,

Sparrowlegs248 · 24/02/2015 18:03

Apparently I may have been exposed to chicken pox. No idea if i have ever had it. Cause for concern?

AbsInTheClub · 24/02/2015 18:33

Notta, I would call the HNS helpline, yes.

Sebs, thinking of you. (hugs)

Snooky, I don't really know about slapped cheek or parvo (never even heard of that last one!), hope he is ok.

Gingerbreadlady1 · 24/02/2015 18:37

Fx you get the all clear snooky. Must admit I've not heard if either of them myself. I made my whooping cough apt today for next wed funnily enough.

notta I'd phone mw too, for peace of mind if nothing else.

We will need a new thread soon, btw - 1000 and it will cut us off!
Ginger, do you want to do the honours, as you started this whole thing off?

Had a check in with the mw today. Asked about the 40 week policy re my being over 40 years old, and she said it was totally up to me, they do not push to induce. So odd how it varies from place to place.

Lolababy00 · 24/02/2015 18:39

Whooping cough injection not nice.

notta I think you should check with MW or doctor if you've never had chicken pox. Your immune if you've already had it and so baby is totally protected. Did the MW ask you at your booking in appointment ?? Mine did and talked about the very small risk during pregnancy.

Gingerbreadlady1 · 24/02/2015 19:02

Could someone else do it please as I'm off out in 5 mins. Quick question, had anyone else not had a single blood test (anaemia)? I'm wondering if I should of had one by now? Thanks!

AbsInTheClub · 24/02/2015 20:20

I can do it, but we have 11 replies left, so can probably wait for you!

Yes, I think you should have had bloods taken, for sure!

Lolababy00 · 24/02/2015 20:30

Abs it's bizarre that it varies from place to place .... However it's quite nice that their being quite laid back and not pushing for induction.

AuntieDee · 25/02/2015 19:13

Can I tag along too - I've been told I'm an older mum at 37. Is this right??

stubbornstains · 25/02/2015 20:26

Welcome AuntieDee, yes, you are officially an Old Bird! (we use the term old in jest, obviously).

How far along are you?

Sorry to hear about the worries about exposure to various bugs snooky and notta- hopefully your fears will be put to rest soon.

stubbornstains · 25/02/2015 20:33

I've started another thread! Hope nobody minds?

HexyQueen · 25/02/2015 21:04

Cheers for that stubborn. Should we just fill the last few slots here and jump ship to the spring hatchlings thread?

I am officially pissed off, been sick 17 time in 3 days. FFS, did someone not get the memo saying morning sickness should have finished by now? Pah.
[/grump over]

Hope you are both ok notta and snooky.

Gingerbreadlady1 · 25/02/2015 21:13

Cheers stubborn, loving the new thread!

hexy, I don't blame you for being grumpy, it f'ing sucks. You've had a rotten time of it.
