Perineal massage is indeed boaktastic, BUT, either I was lucky, or it worked, as I didn't tear at all with DS. Admittedly I also laboured a long time in water which also probably helped, and he was a dinky 6lb12 - long and slender at that, but, I still credit the perineal massage for helping. Maybe I am just giving it credit soas to make the boakiness seem worthwhile!

DS was also back to back, the little bugger, not sure if it was the hypnobirthing that helped or again, just instinct to plough on through. I don't think it can hurt (hypnobirthing, that is.) And I was also determined I was NOT going to hospital unless I absolutely had to.

InShock, I am a bit Shock at your sister being anti skin to skin - that was such a highlight for me, the second he finally popped out, and so good for us both. I also opted for delayed cord clamping! She'd love me! :)

I'm up for the Fb group but only if it is private, so people can't even see I am a member, should they accidentally stumble upon it somehow.

Lolababy00 · 14/02/2015 18:07

Skin to skin lovely, didn't get the option with my older 3, cleaned and weighed before I really got a proper cuddle . DD straight onto my chest, it was the most loving experience and she stayed there for over an hour.

AbsInTheClub · 14/02/2015 18:10

The first thing DS did, upon being placed upon my belly, was poo! Grin It was still lovely. (The cuddle. Not so much the poo!)

Tranquilitybaby · 15/02/2015 00:04

Sorry checking in, haven't been in here for a while!

I'm up for a secret old birds group a Hexy, feel free to make me a joint admin in case you need an fb flounce now and then! ;0)

HexyQueen · 15/02/2015 20:10

Ok-dokey tranq, I'll see if that's poss. Any ideas for a name for the FB group? Oh & it will be a secret group, I rarely post anything on FB publicly.

Wtf about being anti-skin-to-skin? How is that even possible?

BingoBonkers · 15/02/2015 20:30

Old Birds? I'm up for it too.

For constipation plenty of nuts and dried fruit can really get things going.

AbsInTheClub · 15/02/2015 21:13

But I don't feel old! Older?! And wiser?! Grin

stubbornstains · 15/02/2015 21:17

Oh, can we not be Aged Crones Snatching Our Last Chance of Fertility from the Jaws of Death?! Grin

BingoBonkers · 15/02/2015 21:23

That certainly has a ring to it stubbs and slips easily off the tongue! Wink Grin You have my vote!

AbsInTheClub · 15/02/2015 21:37

Up for fb, but only ever opened an account but never anything more... So may need directions to how to find it ....... Not fb smart ( maybe showing that I'm a bit of an oldie now)

AbsInTheClub · 17/02/2015 13:08

I am happy to set it up if it would help, Hexy, else let us know how to find it.

Gingerbreadlady1 · 17/02/2015 16:13

AbsInTheClub · 17/02/2015 21:21

Ok, I have gone ahead and made the group, hope that's not treading on anyone's toes. I can easily delete it if someone else wants to set it up! I will PM a couple of you to see if you can request to join, else, you may have to friend me on Fb so I can add you.
