Italics fail! Grin

cinnamongreyhound · 01/11/2014 19:12

Both mine bf but ds1 still went twice a day at least and threw up at every feed, ds2 was a pleasant surprise then he started moving

She's a lady I know though my local parkrun and one of my friends excited told everyone at parkrun as soon as she knew and this lady was just chatting to me after the run today and said 'ooo you're getting a little bump now' and patted my tummy *mswibble'. My experience is it happens a lot but other said earlier in the thread that they never had it before so maybe I just say 'touch me'?!?!?! But it's not something I enjoy at all!

Lauren82000 · 01/11/2014 19:28

Cinnamon not really sure what's causing them just annoying each other I suppose and stress carried over from the 2 mc's before this sticky bean. It all adds up and just have to remember to be nicer to each other. Hormones don't help either. Confused

Cinnamon, you parkrun too?
I told some parkrun people a couple weeks ago when I volunteered. Not running now...

mswibble · 01/11/2014 20:24

misty every morning when I walk into the office people look at my tummy before my face! They're obsessed! Its cute though, one woman in particular always asks me 'how bump is doing today' each and every morning.

I would recommend ASOS for maternity stuff. I've only got simple skater style dresses but they're nice and comfy with leggings and boots. Think both Asda and Tesco have a good selection online though. Havent really found a shop which actually has maternity stuff in store though.

I imagine that must be tough to deal with Lauren82000. I think I've mentioned before dh and I had lots of arguements when I was pregnant with ds1 and it was tough but was much better once he was here.

Yes I do TinyTear, at the moment I'm doing two 4 milers during the week with a friend or 2 and parkrun Saturday. Midwife said as long as I'm comfortable it's fine.

Without getting too preachy as I LOVE parkrun SquattingNeville its a free, timed 5k run all over the country at 9am every Saturday. It's very supportive and friendly and absolutely anyone and everyone can join in. We currently have people from 5 to 75 years old (and several dogs) and times from 18 to 40 minutes. A proper community and we had a fab time dressing up for our Halloween run this morning Smile

Lauren82000 · 02/11/2014 07:56

Well DD was up at 5, I'm so tired. Got to wait at least another 30 mins before I wake DH up so I can crawl back into bed. DD has not stopped chattering and she only has 2 volume levels quiet and loud high pitched talking! Think I might have shut her up for a bit though stuck a film on. I'll probably still get commentary but at least I can veg on the couch.

I'm now convinced I'm feeling movement it varies in what kind of feeling it is. Sometimes it's fluttering and sometimes it's little pop pops. I guess it's all just arms and legs flailing about. But it's definitely not wind I know that much!Smile

TinyTear · 02/11/2014 08:08

Squatting I was told to stop last time because of recurrent miscarriages so stopped this time but keep volunteering. I have 40 volunteering days and only 20 runs, a long way from my first T-shirt.

I was even run director in Hampstead heath for a while and won the monthly prize there one month

TinyTear · 02/11/2014 08:09

cinnamon I mean, but squatting, if you like running it's great and friendly and you can start by volunteering

Nunkie · 02/11/2014 08:47

Hi, Suzybean

Ah, Misty, another recovering Warcraft addict...? I swear they should have some sort of AA equivalent to ween folk off it! ;0D

Cinnamon, it's getting to the point where I'm saying 'running' in inverted comas! Last Sunday's 'run' was a stumbling jog/walk over five miles. Other than that I try to grab a mile here and there a couple times a week - tho I'm definitely more aware of stuff rattling around more down there now - haha!
Reckon some supportive (and no doubt hideously expensive) running pants are becoming necessary.

The problem I have found tho is that most preggers sports wear sites tend to cater for women who are doing yoga, so don't carry particularly suitable full length jogging bottoms (DP did find a good one the other day tho - but I've forgotten the name of the bloomin' site!). Any jogging pants tip-offs? :0D

How are you doing with it? Better than me by the sounds of things! (How far along are you?). As always tho, I always feel better for it, so shall just keep doing what feels manageble for as long as I can...

LOL at all the explosive baby poos (tho dont expect I'll be LOLing so much when I'm on the receiving end of it. I know one dad whose baby son actually managed to - brace yourself - fart some poop into his mouth, as he ws changing his nappy and opening his mouth to call his wife for help Shock Grin )

cinnamongreyhound · 02/11/2014 09:00

I'm ed at ours TinyTear, I plan to volunteer each week when I cant run but don't want to be ed every time as its an early start and later finish!

I'm still enjoying it and as you say feel better for it Nunkie. I've gone from 9.15 minute miling to 10-10.30 but at that pace I'm still comfortable. I run with friends and my/our dogs and they are slower so I'm fine at the moment. I feel like I need a wee more often but haven't stopped yet. I did most of my weekday running early in the morning which I had to stop as I felt so awful but I'm back to it now with a slice of toast before I go. I always did my long runs on my own on a Sunday which I just don't have the motivation for at the moment and I'm not going to the HM I entered which is in 3 weeks as I know I'll be miserable (but a little bit of me still wants to!). I did a 10k 2 weeks ago but had a terrible cold and it was tough ground so I was slow but still not painful. I am on te parkrun thread here and one lady ran her parkrun until she was 30wks so we'll see :) it's makes me less grumpy so safer for my family if I keep going as long as Possible Wink

I babysat a 1 year old last night and she woke while I was there had to rock her back to sleep and then she cried when I put her down so had to cuddle her for a bit, made me realise how much I missed those squidgy cuddles, always say I'm not a baby person but perhaps I have become one!!

cinnamongreyhound · 02/11/2014 09:01

Oh and my running leggings still fit at the moment as my bumpy bit is quite high so I haven't had to think about that.

Nunkie · 02/11/2014 09:47

Yeah, running definitely keeps you sane, eh? (Not to mention the helping-with-constipation-bonus! :0D).

Ooo, envy at your high bump! I folded my existing full length leggings down for a while, but the waist is quite rigid and I found it pressed my already-over-taxed bladder. Grin (I've got some nice, soft Thoosa pants that still fit well tho, support aside)

Think there's a Park Run near us actually, it sounds really good.. tho at the mo I do my longer runs (or stumbles!) with a /very/ patient friend who is constantly trying to beat his PB so appreciates a more relaxed run in between the mad sprints he does with his faster friends during the week :0)

My speed fluctuates madly at the best of times, but for the last two weeks haven't been faster than about 10 minute miles, and more often towards the 12 side of things on longer runs!!! (This def coincides with me starting to 'feel' my bump a bit more).
Just feels good to get outside and get a light sweat on and the blood flowing tho! Was thinking, too, that going to a gentle walk/run interval training format might be an option too, if things continue to feel ever-heavier down there - which I'm sure they will!

Looking again, did dig out a couple of those leggings options:
www.fittamamma.com/product.php/126/supportive_maternity_leggings
www.badabump.com/store/capri-pant/

But yeah, one pair not full length, and the other bank-breaking!!!
And wtf do so many maternity running tops have to have a twee slogan on them, or be in namby-pampy pastely colours?!
[insert stream of expletives]

End rant! :0D

cinnamongreyhound · 02/11/2014 10:19

I run in capris until it's pretty cold though. Have seen some cute tops with babies peaking out on cafe press and then do running tops but my sure if they are actually technical or just t-shirts with running slogans! I don't want to spend loads in case I find in a couple of weeks I cant run anymore! I'll try and find the link someone posted for me of a running top with little baby at the bottom. Definitely give parkrun a go, lovely community spirit!

Dh has just told me I look like I've had a boob job and it was money well spent Shock

TinyTear · 02/11/2014 10:53

There are a few people running with prams at HH. Will you do it?
Too many hills here so when my dd was born and I ran again I left her with daddy when I went out.

I still did some run directing but coordinating volunteers with a non sleeping baby was a bit tough so resigned...

cinnamongreyhound · 02/11/2014 10:58

I will try not to, prefer the time to myself and as I work day times dh will always be home when I run so seems daft to take baby really.

I used to run with the buggy twice a week – not long distances – maybe 3km to the library for rhyme time during the week and then discovered the park run. cinnamon is right, it is really friendly and lovely. Also helps that my local one is totally flat, so even with a heavy toddler it’s doable. Unfortunately I felt so rough and tired in T1 that I fell out of the habit (I had enough exercise that I HAD to do just to do my yoga teaching) and haven’t got back into it now. If I do it now I feel my pelvic floor under pressure.

Very interested though to hear about the preg yoga clothes website - nunkie, could you point me in the right direction please?

Feeling like the scan is WAY off (26 Nov) - really would like to know the sex so that can plan. Have a mega ton of girl and boy clothes (the latter inherited from cousins) and would love to get rid of at least one set! Though now I say that, I’d want to be pretty sure they’d got their predictions right before I gave it all away! Having said that, I’ve got v few newborn clothes as we were lent a massive bin bag of 0-3 by a friend. I think I will buy more, but again, need to wait and find out.

Misty Most places do online only for their maternity clothes, unfortunately. Makes it a bit of a PITA for lots of sending back etc.

On the forceps front, I don’t want one, but a bit like suzy you just want your baby out safely with as little damage to mum as possible. And I do think the medical teams want that too. Also, in all honesty, a C section would be a bloody nightmare as I’ve got a toddler to look after and no family to help. So a damaged downstairs sounds preferable. Reparatory operations are sometimes given subsequently if there’s much damage. DD was born with ventouse after a very lengthy labour, so I’m hoping that no2 will slide out. Here’s hoping eh?

Lauren82000 · 02/11/2014 12:18

Has anyone else been really dizzy recently? I can't seem to stand up without my vision clouding and feeling wobbly. I've tried standing slowly but it doesn't make much difference. Annoying the hell out of me as I have to stand still for a minute till it passes and I just look weird.

Misty I still get the urge to play every now and again but DH says I'm not allowed to load it on my laptop again. I don't really have the time to dedicate to it with DD running around and I think his obsession with destiny at the moment is enough for one household to manage.

cinnamongreyhound · 02/11/2014 12:23

I'm always like that Lauren82000, pregnancy did make it worse but has improved now. Mine is just low blood pressure which no one seems to be able to do anything about. I recommend trying not to sit on your feet and try to stay hydrated otherwise just sit back down if you need to :)

CherryLips1980 · 02/11/2014 12:24

Oh wow, I need to expand the topics far more often - there's a whole load of MN I never realised existed!!

Please may I join you all? I am very jealous of all of you still able to run - I need to start again once I've had this DC (#2). I started Slimming World the week before I found out I was pregnant again and have lost 1 stone 10lbs (I need to, I really want to be the person who gives birth and is lighter than when they got pregnant!) so far, although loss has started to slow down now and my jeans are getting tight.

I am now 15+5 and I am already bored of being pregnant Blush I am SO over emotional it is ridiculous (I am trying immensely hard not to be offended by the fact I wasn't invited to a night out the other night that I couldn't bloody go to anyway, because I already had plans!) and it seems to have dragged so far, I feel like I've been pregnant forever.

I have a DD already who is one a week today (now THAT seems to have flown by).

TheBooMonster · 02/11/2014 12:28

lauren are you drinking enough? I get dizzy when I've forgotten to keep my fluids up, and when I have a migraine on the way, but it could just be your body still getting sued to the increased blood supply...

Also, you might find with wow that if it's been a while since you've played you're a bit 'meh' once you get back on, makes me quite sad that I wasn't enjoying it the other day like I used to, however DH who never really stepped away from computer games has got it loaded up and is swapping between wow and mine craft, as if I wasn't finding the lack of computer depressing enough he's now playing two games at once and on Skype whilst DD turns the TV back to cbebbies every time I try to use it!
