LIG awe lovely bump. I just look blobby.
Its crazy but yes do look for nurseries, one of my ex bosses was seriously told by a nursery manager that she had no hope of finding a nursery place when her DC was 6 weeks old she should have registered his place when she was pregnant. Shock Grin
Will you move your DDs nursery or will she be finished by time baby starts?

Tiny we have a bench, but our garden is rather large and takes a lot of care so its been totally neglected since I've been pregnant. Plus its scotland it will be raining or snowing until sometime around March.
I've found my keys so I'll stick my head out at regular intervals tomorrow, I'll be like a dog with is head sticking out of a car. Grin

Ah didn't realise you were in Scotland. I call myself Scottish by marriage. DH is Scottish

LittleBairn · 27/10/2014 20:09

I'd buy it baby but then I love a bargin.

LittleBairn · 27/10/2014 20:09

^ evidence above to my scottish-ness. Grin

LittleBairn · 27/10/2014 20:11

Tiny its probably because I've lived all over, I spent many years in London. If I hadn't met DH I would still be in London.

LIG1979 · 27/10/2014 20:35

Lil- it looks like a proper bump rather than being in the fat stage. I am probably not far off that and only 15 weeks. (For what it is worth I got a bump early on last time and then had growth scans at 30 weeks because my bump was so small so it isn't necessarily indicative of how big you will be at the end.)

Babiecakes - sounds like a bargain. I think with something like this even if it didn't work out you could at least get your money back. (That is my logic with things like that. )

Little - not sure what I will do when I return to work. At the moment I do 5 in 4 and that relies on me being minutes from work to childcare. I will have 6 months back at work before dd starts school so need to sort it out for that - not sure how I will do one at work and one at nursery. (Unfortunately dh does shift work and can get stuck late with no warning so cannot rely on him.)

Thanks,I def feel it looks like bump more than just squidge and there's really no hiding the fact that I'm pg.

Yep I would have bought the bug in your position to....

TinyTear · 28/10/2014 07:44

GTT today... I'm STARVING
And it's not until 8h30

LittleBairn · 28/10/2014 08:05

LIG that sounds really complicated especially with shift work thrown into the mix. I'm totally biased but a nanny might work out even better if you can find a share for half the cost.

babies I know the feeling we have family in Kent and Reading.
Oh goodness I pray we don't have another 2010 & 2011 winter we had snow up to our knees and the villiage we lived in was cut off for two weeks. We are in a town now but on a huge hill, I don't fancy driving into the city in heavy snow.

Tiny are you allowed to drink water before the GTT?

TinyTear · 28/10/2014 08:11

yes. water only from midnight

OP posts:
LondonSuperTrooper · 28/10/2014 08:42

Tiny best of luck with you GTT.

I was told that I can drink water but no eating from midnight?

LondonSuperTrooper · 28/10/2014 08:43

Sorry Tiny I misread your post. I'm not so worried about feeling hungry, it's the nausea that will bother me from abstaining from food.

When do you get your results? My results will be available 24hours after the test.

TinyTear · 28/10/2014 08:49

No idea, I think it will be quick...

First blood out and 3 cups of lucozade drunk... Now going back in 2 hours...

They have WiFi in the waiting room so brought my laptop to work

LittleBairn · 28/10/2014 13:19

Trying not to worry. Feeling achy and had a sharp pain earlier but nothing hospital worthy. I'm keeping a log.

TinyTear · 28/10/2014 14:29

A log is a good idea, any pattern or out of the ordinary go straight in

OP posts:
LondonSuperTrooper · 28/10/2014 15:06

Little hope all is OK with your beanie. Fab idea of keeping a log.

LittleBairn · 28/10/2014 16:41

Well pain seems to be gone for now. Glad others agree with my log book was thinking it might be OTT.
I'm probably extra sensitive today I'm now at the exact gestation that things went wrong with DS.

babies its not ligament pain PGP has already set in for me. Its actually an internal/cervix pain.

Shetland · 28/10/2014 19:34

Ouch little that doesn't sound pleasant :(

I have the stabbing pains too babie - relieved to hear it's normal, I was being a bit head in the sand about it.

smilingthroughgrittedteeth · 28/10/2014 20:44

I also get stabbing pains and sometimes my lower stomach feels like it does before my period, which really freaked me out at first but my midwife said its all normal and that pregnancy isnt pain free which really reassured me.

little that sounds very unpleasant, I think a log is a good idea.

tiny I hope your test results come back soon.

Toucanet · 28/10/2014 23:52

nice neat bump Lila. Definitely pg (and not fat)!

Tiny hope for a good result asap.

No show here still other than usual flab, but only 15 wks. DH did say I look more rounded than normal (pear-shaped 14ish) but then tried to back out saying just trying to cheer me up?! To be fair any rounding probably due to ice-cream - must stop that. My glucose test came through for wk 27. Relief yesterday - mw said it felt the right size & found a 140bpm heartbeat fairly quickly. Consultant made a point of saying 'miscarriage risk over now' which may be overstating it but am relieved to've made it this far, even if the worry sets in again as soon as leave the appointment! Plus she then speculated if my 19-wk foetal health scan might be too early to check for neurotube defects, my specific worry, when had hopes pinned on being able to relax after that.

We'll see how it goes, had a few stabbing pains here too, will ask mw next week. Last sonographer didn't seem to think it was anything to worry about. Little I agree a log's a good idea though, helps to note the positive milestones I think too to reassure yourself as well as any niggles.

Seeing parents this week & wondering whether to spill - probably won't while not obvious, though they might guess from not drinking the last 2 times seen them. Partly don't want to in case/as expect their reaction wouldn't be overly impressed - would almost rather tell over the phone so they could put on happy faces in person - would have mentioned it in front of them and PIL for the same outcome when together the other week but felt it too early then. Frustrating.

Little hope your internal pain subsides, that's nasty.

We should start looking for nurseries how early?!
