Wow my belly has really popped out now at 13 weeks & 2 days! I can feel my uterus has moved up a bit so it's starting to be a bit of a baby bump, not just bloat!

Anyone had any weird cravings? I've not really but do have a real taste for 'clean' things like salad, and pickles and cheese. Am mad for ploughmans lunches.

Lauren82000 · 29/09/2014 08:50

Banana flavoured things but not actual bananas. The smell of a real banana makes me want to heave. But I'm fine with banoffee pie, banana milkshake and banana ice cream all made with real banana. Don't really understand it but I'm fine going with it. I mean a slice of banoffee pie counts as 1 of your give a day surely. Wink It has slices of banana in it.

10+3

*five damn autocorrect.

Good luck Brixton! Hope it all goes well!

I'm on the way to my own scan now, I feel extremely nervous - it doesn't help that I was reading stories last night about scans showing empty sacs. The internet can be such a bad thing sometimes!

Janeytea- good luck with the reassurance scan later!

Good luck this morning Brixton Lobster and Janey.

Thanks for the new thread ladies.

BrixtonBunny · 29/09/2014 12:05

Just popping in to say we had a brilliant scan, little wriggler was doing somersaults for us - so magical to get a good look at him or her! Will post scan pic later today.

12 + 5 (gained two days!)

dancestomyowntune · 29/09/2014 12:28

Nice feeling when you gain days isn't it Brixton? Glad you had a good scan. Can't wait for mine on Wednesday. My sister had her baby this morning, a little girl. So pleased for her

cinnamongreyhound · 29/09/2014 12:36

Lovely news BrixtonBunny! Look forward to your pic. I think I'll be the same as you with sleep in Tuesday night! Dh is so convinced everything's going to be ok!

Congratulations dancestomyowntune! Is this your first niece? I so want to be an Aunty!

Hope all goes week for you too JaneyTea and LobsterMagnet!

I told my bos this morning, they're really excited. Told them it's a secret until we see the baby on weds and double checked they wanted to come. Ds1 is sure and ds2 'wants to see the baby wiggling but doesn't want to see it dead'. I warned them that there is a chance it won't be happy when I gave them the choice of coming so that's onviously what his little mind makes of it.

LobsterMagnet · 29/09/2014 14:39

So, scan was this morning. there was a large sac with seemingly nothing in it but then a yolk sac and a possible fetal pole was found but tiny which would date me at 6 weeks when I should be 12 on the dot. I have to go back tomorrow for more tests and what I'm guessing is to confirm that I won't be continuing with you all on here. I didn't expect it to hit me so hard. My manager was really lovely about it and told me to take the rest of the week off but I feel so guilty about it since there's a meltdown going on at work at the moment. I don't think it'd help with me being there though, I'd just be a big mess.

minipie · 29/09/2014 14:42

Oh Lobster I'm so, so sorry. That is so hard Sad. Take care of yourself all you need - some things are more important than work and if your manager says take time off then don't feel guilty.

Lauren82000 · 29/09/2014 14:48

Oh Lobster I'm so sorry to hear about your scan. Make sure you take all the time you need, sod work they will manage. I'm sure your devastated considering you thought everything was going well. I can't imagine what your going through, I had 2 mc's before this one stuck so I understand a small part of your pain. Mine were early on so didn't have long to get my hopes up.
There are many wonderful MN threads that I found really helpful. Make sure you get all the support you can. Big hugs Thanks

I'm so sorry Lobster, I can't begin to imagine how hard this must be for you. Such a sad situation. Take care of yourself and don't try to rush back to work before you feel up to it. Thanks

Fingerscrossed36 · 29/09/2014 15:13

Lobster Flowers

Sending hugs, take the time off work

Lindalove · 29/09/2014 15:16

lobster that's so awful. I'm sorry you had to wait until 12 weeks to find this out. Thoughts with you

JaneyTea · 29/09/2014 15:36

Oh Lobster I'm so sorry. Please make sure you take the time you need Brew Flowers

RiverRocks · 29/09/2014 15:57

Lobster I'm so sorry. You need to take time off work and take care of yourself. I had a mmc earlier this year, so if you would like to talk, please PM me Thanks

cinnamongreyhound · 29/09/2014 15:58

I'm so sorry LobsterMagnet, I can't imagine how you feel right now! Take all the time you need, although I can see how being home alone could be a bad thing. Please keep us up to date on how you're doing and look after yourself Thanks and loads of hugs!

IvegotaCaveTroll · 29/09/2014 16:22

Sorry Lobster what u r going through is awful. Rest and don't think twice about work- you are what's important xxxx

chiliplant · 29/09/2014 17:02

I'm so sad for you. Please take care of yourself xcx

HippoPottyMouth · 29/09/2014 17:08

Oh Lobster I am so sorry to hear that. I'm sure we all imagine the worst beforehand, but to have it actually happen must be just beyond awful. Sorry, inadequate words, I don't know what to say.

Do not feel guilty about work, they will manage. I hope the next few days are as straightforward as they can be.
Xxx

Oh Lobster that's awful. I had the same with my third pregnancy. There are no rules on how you should feel or how much time you will need. Take care of yourself. If they confirm that it is a MMC then they will give you options for how to manage it.
