Thank you memphis that would be really helpful if you happen to see it!

hanflan · 20/10/2014 08:09

Morning all! Yikes someone on the Jan thread just had their baby! At 28 weeks! All are doing fine apparently which is wonderful, but how scary is that?! Makes me feel very under preparared :(

Bangonthedoor · 20/10/2014 08:28

It's shocking isn't it hanflan and makes me feel relieved for having my hospital bag packed already!

A good friend of mine had her twins at 24 weeks Shock they are both now very healthy 7 year olds! I'm 24+3 and couldn't imagine it all happening now!

I've woken up in a better mood today and definitely going to order the cot this evening which I'm excited about.

Planning a park walk with DD this morning then off to choose our pumpkins Smile

Enjoy your Monday everyone Brew

Memphisbelly · 20/10/2014 08:55

Wow 28 weeks glad they are doing ok. I am so desperate to get to christmas. (You watch I will go 2 weeks overdue nowWink)

After my episode yesterday I was sat up until about 3am feeling baby kicks, I was so paranoid....he was having a proper party but I just couldn't relax.

Bangon if you order a cot and don't totally open the box to see the colour they will take it back.

JacktheLab · 20/10/2014 09:18

Morning all Grin

Babies at 28 weeks! Crumbs! I'm not ready for that, but let's hope all our lot stay cooking for a bit longer ;)

bellaboo88 · 20/10/2014 09:50

I'd feel cheeted if baby bellaboo came early, I'm going on ML from mid Dec, watching plenty of Xmas films & chillaxing first!

Bang, I feel your pain. I decided my 2nd hand one isn't pretty enough so I need a cream sleigh cot bed. Love the babies r us one & at £50 off was a bargain...out of stock when I got my card out :( x

purpleteapig · 20/10/2014 11:04

Wow, 28 weeks - just looked and sounds like he's doing well. Scary though.

Glad you're feeling better Memphis - your baby sounds like an active little thing :) I was woken up last night to a huge kick, which has never happened before as I'm such a deep sleeper - gave me a bit of a shock!

On another matter, am I alllowed to join the Feb fb group? Can someone add me please or tell me what I need to do? Btw I used to be kkllww but changed name due to that one being crap...

BanglesSpangles · 20/10/2014 11:14

Morning all
Looks like lots of peeps had a hectic old weekend. I'm like Bang- everything progressing as it should really, and thanking my lucky stars for it, but it does make you feel bad that some people are suffering so much!

Started on 'operation stock up' yesterday- added a couple of packs of nappies to our tescos shop, and it made me feel all weird- 'the baby' is just such an abstract concept at the moment, that it just seems so strange to think of him as actually being here, like a proper human being- very hard to get my head around the idea!

JacktheLab · 20/10/2014 12:49

Purple pm me with your email address and I shall send you an invite this evening

HerRoyalNotness · 20/10/2014 13:42

Hi all, thanks for your thoughts. I'm enjoying reading about your stocking up and search for the perfect item, I know what that's like, I've been googling for days and comparing models of this and that. It brings some normality to my crazy times

I ended up getting a bed back in labour ward and my DC can visit anytime till 9pm, phew! They came by yesterday with drawings and DS1 wrote a little note on his which set me off. He was very subdued and DS2 wouldn't let me hug him at all so I settled for high 5s. I'll only see them Fridays when DH will bring some dinner we can had together and on Sundays, due to distance and horrendous traffic here.

I had a scare early this morning, bad cramp on my left that went to my back and leg. The lovely nurses put baby on monitor and she was fine. They called in the female dr howser and in a stage whisper said to them no need to monitor baby, she's only 22 weeks. I realised I am the patient and they won't acknowledge my DD for another 11 days. Sad

It seemed like baby must have moved onto a nerve, As all okay now. The morning rounds dr was talking of me going home again! So I texted my obgyn and she will speak with them to keep me in. I'm having trouble imagining myself here for 18wks, so I am getting us to 24 wk mark then a weekly goal thereafter.

Memphisbelly · 20/10/2014 14:07

Bangon I went in to mothercare they had a few cots but not the Obaby Lily. They had the darlington which was a yellow pine and I asked about colouring and they were actually really good and called 3 other stores until she found one that stocked it and they said the Lily is not as yellow as others they stock.

Memphisbelly · 20/10/2014 14:14

Herroyal 11 days will soon be 10 then 9 then I presume they will give you steroids to give baby a boost? It will come soon enough just try and look after yourself and this will help give your baby a boost too. So glad tou can see your kids though must be a huge relief.

Ds has just had his flu spray and now home to chill, my bump feels bruised today and unsure why

HerRoyalNotness · 20/10/2014 14:53

Yes I'll get steriods next tues and Thursday memphis. I d made a chart for my wall to mark odd the days to next Friday

Your dS reminds me I have to remind DH to get the DSs their flu shots, I forgot just before I came in. Enjoy the chill out!

Bangonthedoor · 20/10/2014 15:06

Oh memphis thank you so much that's so kind of you to ask for me and nice of them to ring around. I'm excited to order it now! Hope DS lets you chill out this afternoon.

herroyal I'm really glad both your DC's get to visit you now.

GeekyHybrid · 20/10/2014 18:52

Hang on in there little herroyal, just got to 'cook' a bit longer! Whoever it was who used that phrase further up the thread - I love it. Glad that your kids can come visit now, I'd imagine they're quite flummoxed.
Thinking of breaking things down into smaller goals always takes me back to one of my mom's friends who had the saying "inch by inch life's a cinch, yard by yard it's very hard".
On a bright note, I was back at work today which was OK, was flagging by late afternoon so just slowed right up. Just following doctors instructions after all! And I seem to have got my taste for chocolate back :-D Oops, I've now eaten 2 of OH's crunchie bars which I rolled my eyes at when he picked them up in the supermarket. Tee hee, they were nice.
Well jealous of all you organised people, haven't done a lot at all and until we finish decorating our bedroom and get ourselves out of the spare room I can't see it happening. And I've just signed up to a weekend away at my mom's (200 miles away) instead of getting on with the room. Hey ho, the target will be Christmas, when I start ML. Can't wait.

Memphisbelly · 20/10/2014 19:33

Geeky there is plenty of time to get organised after all baby won't be in its own room straight away...once on ML you will have loads of time, I am not planning on going on ML so just trying to grt ahead now Smile

Just had a lovely bath and dh got chippy tea tonight as I felt so washed out.

Cot should arrive tomorrow when I am at work so no doubt will have to rearrage delivery. Weds my mum has ds and dh is away so going for a curry with friends.

HerRoyalNotness · 20/10/2014 19:54

Ooooh is love a crunchie just now geeky. Shall add it to the list for mil to bring along with big boxes of maltesers

Memphisbelly · 20/10/2014 21:54

I bought some Aldi Mars bars (titan bars) to go into my rice crispy cakes and have eaten 2..... They are very nice! Grin
Baby feels like he is backflipping tonight!
Work tomorrow and mil is having ds while im there

GeekyHybrid · 20/10/2014 22:13

There's nothing like a treat box crossing the pond to bring a smile to one's face! My mate's husband just brought me some Hershey kisses back from his work trip to SF, looks like I've got my taste for chocolate back just in time Grin And as a bonus, OH doesn't like them so all mine Grin Grin

blankfornames · 20/10/2014 23:00

Mmmmmm chocolate fullstop!
I've asked google but getting a few different answers, but, does anyone know what week of pregnancy you can fly up to? Was thinking of flying two weeks before Chrimbo?
Glad to hear people are doing well.

Memphisbelly · 20/10/2014 23:20

Blanks think it varies roughly but when we looked at flying to Paris I was told 36 weeks. Check with airline before you book though. I couldn't book a flight as because of all the stuff I have wrong the travel insurance wouldn't cover me to fly but airline would allow it.

I am mad on jelly atm, I made 4 cups of it and ate them all Blush

HerRoyalNotness · 21/10/2014 02:04

I'd love to be able to go to the pantry and get something. Have you tried the Lindt salted caramel chocolate, chocolate fiends? So yummo!

My sassy night shift nurse brought me leftover breakfast tacos tonight, best food I've had in 4 days and there is enough for tomorrow! I hope she doesn't want it back!

Bangonthedoor · 21/10/2014 07:19

Love all this talk of chocolate! Yum!

Got my 25 week midwife appointment this morning so get a late start at work, just as well as DD is still snoring away.

blanks each airline has a different policy. I'm flying with Ryanair for Dublin next month and need a letter from my midwife as I'll be in my 29th week. Then I think they allow up to 36 weeks or something like that.

purpleteapig · 21/10/2014 08:43

Hi Jack - I sent you a pm (I hope it worked) with my email address. Thanks!

donkir · 21/10/2014 09:27

Well my new maternity coat is definitely warm, possibly too warm at the moment.
I'm also one who was off chocolate but am now definitely back on it. My boss has a chocolate tin in the fridge just for me.
Anyone else waking stupidly early? I'm waking anytime between 5 and 6 which is not too bad at the moment but come next week when the clocks change it will be between 4 and 5 Shock
