Royal that sounds just awful. I'm really hoping you are finally getting some sleep.

Viperama · 18/10/2014 18:35

Royal hope you have a permanent bed by now. I can't believe how long you've been kept waiting.
So are you there for two weeks now?
Big hug

BanglesSpangles · 18/10/2014 18:56

Still no sign of the boiler moving guys finishing- 7 hours since my last wee- amazingly i dont even feel like im going to go bang... Have mega heartburn though and just spilled the last of the milk all over my dust-covered kitchen

So much cleaning to do is evening!

Grinningcat · 18/10/2014 19:56

I hope you get better treatment from them from now on. Hope you're getting some sleep too.

Have just had an epic shopping trip with the in laws. Have new curtains for the baby's room and some baby t-shirts and leggings.

Memphisbelly · 18/10/2014 20:26

Royal hope you are ok and in a decent bed now.

I feel fit to pop today it seems the baby has grown over night and the belly hasn't caught up yet so I feel so tight and uncomfy. Also his kicking is getting stronger. I put my phone on my belly earlier and after a few attempts he kicked it clean off my belly Shock think it may have something to do with ds blowing raspberries onto my belly as a sign of affection to him! Grin

3d scan booked tomorrow at 2 and I ordered a new cot it should be here Tuesday!

Viperama · 18/10/2014 23:33

Memphis that so gorgeous with your DS blowing raspberries on your belly Smile

HerRoyalNotness · 18/10/2014 23:45

Hi all, I got moved to a pre op room I post partum ward as they needed the triage bed. Not sure what was worse hearing women in labour (I did head an ohhhhh shit Grin from a mum) or hearing newborns cry Sad. I got some mini naps in and am on anti-bs although there was no sign of infection. They've moved me again! Now in an observation ward for overnight now. They don't let DC under 14 visit Sad as some are in isolation here

My dr wants me in until I deliver, so potentially 18wks! But the hospital keep saying they will discharge me after 48hrs and readmit at 24 weeks. If this happens my dr will find another hospital to take me but the others can't cope with babies born before 28wks so if I deliver before then they'll have to transfer me back to where I am now.

Bangonthedoor · 19/10/2014 08:25

Oh HerRoyal it all seems a bit unknown at the moment. I'm really sorry this is happening. Thanks for updating us. That's a shame about your DC not being able to visit too. I'd be lost without seeing my DD.

sandulacek · 19/10/2014 12:34

Herroyal hope you getting some sleep. 14 is quite old too. When I was on the labour ward here they had a sign about no small kids visiting (can't remember the age) but then I saw at least 2 small kids around. Might be worth asking?

Viperama · 19/10/2014 13:14

HerRoyal I'm sure you don't need me to tell you this, but put your foot down if you need to and insist you are not going anywhere. Engage your inner momma bear.

Ward doc tried to send me home eve of my surgery but I knew my consultant had said 2 nights in hospital so I said I'm not going anywhere unless my consultant says I'm ok to go home. Their response was 'she should have written it in your notes' bah. They spoke with her and relented.

I fear they are saying 24 as that is when baby becomes 'viable' such a horrible word and idea. It doesn't bear thinking about. If you or your husband are up to it, and it comes to it, call them out on that, maybe they will see sense or develop a little compassion.

Oh my goodness I am hopping mad on your behalf.

I am sending you love and serenity, stay put little Royal

Viperama · 19/10/2014 13:15

I should add I was 21 weeks when my surgery happened, and they were trying to send me home right away for the same reason, nasty buggers

jenmcspen · 19/10/2014 15:20

Just catching up as have had a bit if a crazy busy week.
Hoping everything starts to get better for you asap herroyal can't imagine how stressful it all must be xxx

Memphisbelly · 19/10/2014 19:17

Hope everyone is ok this weekend...you are all very quiet Grin

I had a scrare this morning my heart went dicky for about 20 mins, my mum was here and she kept saying I need to call someone. It normally only lasts a few mins but this went on and on, should really have gone hospital but my consultants wouldnt be there on a weekend so I stayed home, will call tomorrow. Because it went on for so long it washed me out all day so I have been all groggy.

We had out 3d scan and the babys heartbeat was fine but it must have affected him he wouldnt wake up no matter what we did, he covers his face with his arms so we saw nothing, she was literally trying to manually shift his arm away but he wasn't having any of it! So we have to go again next week

Grinningcat · 19/10/2014 19:39

I'm here, but not much to tell. Just shattered and trying to gather some energy for going to work in the morning. I have started sleeping with a cushion between my legs and woke up in the night was a sore back because I'd shifted to the very edge of the bed to make room for the cat who was curled up fast asleep in the middle of said cushion! Grin

Sorry to hear that baby wasn't playing ball Memphis. I'm sure you will get a good view next time.

Bangonthedoor · 19/10/2014 19:48

It sounds like we've all had our tough times this week/weekend! Hope you're ok memphis?

I feel really stupid for moaning when in comparison I'm so lucky compared to you other ladies. But I've had such a shit day and it's really brought me down. Nothing in particular just feel run down. You know when you just need a bloody break?! DD has been so full on and so naughty and all I wanted was a 10 minute bath on my own in peace Sad I feel so ungrateful but just felt a little trapped today. Can't even wind down with a wine Grin

Plus I can't find the right type of cot ANYWHERE! I want just a cheap simple pine one with a matching cot top changer. Can't be a cot bed as won't be enough room.

God I'm so sorry for being a drama queen Blush

Memphisbelly · 19/10/2014 19:54

Bangon we are all allowed to have a shitty day....and even If you are 100%happy and healthy being pregnant we are allowed to rant and moan from time to time.....it is actually law in pregnancy I thinkWink regarding cot you should have said we are all over the uk one of us may see one!

Memphisbelly · 19/10/2014 19:55

Also does it have to be a matching changer top...mine is a padded one as appose to a wooden one?

Memphisbelly · 19/10/2014 20:00

Bangon look on mothercare online they have the Obaby Lily cot (the one I have just bought) and they do a wooden cot top changer in 2 of the colours to go on this cot....they also do the cot called Darlington and this has a cot top changer to match too

donkir · 19/10/2014 20:01

Bangon have you tried ikea? Not sure if they do pine though.
My weekend has been very quiet with oh at work and ds with his dad. I've been so bored.
Thought I'd have a nice relaxing bath while boys watch wrestling forgetting that I now weigh a stone more. Had to get oh to come up and help me mop up the flood Grin.
I'm slowly getting there with baby bits. Added nappies, wipes, dummies (just incase), breast pads and maternity pads. Very shocked at my organisation. You ladies are keeping me focused.

Memphisbelly · 19/10/2014 20:10

Bangon the Obaby lily is on pine btw.

Donkir in my last pregnancy out old bath didn't have the handles on the side so I had to get a suction handle to help haul myself up....I forgot this until I had call dh to help me out last night Grin

freneticfox · 19/10/2014 20:13

Memphis and Royal, hope you're both doing ok this eve, sorry it's been a rough time.

I had my flu jab yesterday and my arm has felt really warm today, apparently normal though so I'm not freaking out... yet! Feeling a bit drained, wonder if it's rubbing off on bean - I didn't feel him move at all last night or this morning, had a cold drink and he seems to be back to normal though. And here I thought worrying would diminish after the 20w scan!

Bangonthedoor · 19/10/2014 20:23

Thank you so much memphis for your kind words and for introducing me to the padded cot top changer, I didn't know they existed! Also the obaby lily cot looks fab, can I ask if you've got yours already the colour of the pine? Ha I know that sounds so silly but when I got DD's mamas and papas one it was pine but really orangey. Would you say this one actually looks pine colour?

And thank you donkir for cheering me up with the bath story as I did the same when I finally got my bath Grin

Ill have to apologise to DP for telling him there's no point in helping me look as there are simply no suitable cots Blush

Memphisbelly · 19/10/2014 20:40

Bangon I have ordered the dark wood one as appose to pine. But if I end up seeing the pine in the flesh tomorrow I will take a photo ( I know they can look totally different IRL) also the padded changer is in thr changing tops bit on mothercare site, we have it, it was fab for ds and it padded so no need for extra mat (and cheaper)

The only reason I knew i had seen one is because I too wanted a cot but a dark wood one.....even harder to find than a non yellow pine one!

LittleMissSunshine33 · 19/10/2014 20:46
