cactusnic I picked up my MATB1 form the other day at 20 + 4 days. My next MW appointment won't be until 25 weeks and I need to get to HR by that time. My mw said to leave a message for her at my GP's reception that I'd had my 20 week scan and wanted my form and then she would leave it with them for me to pick up.

tonights a colleague who is expecting twins recently left for her maternity leave at 32 weeks. Her doctor wanted her to finish at 30 weeks, but she felt fine and carried on for a bit longer. I think they were expecting to induce her at 37 weeks if she hadn't had them by then.

Memphisbelly · 10/10/2014 16:37

Had a very productive day today. Sorted all the washing, put dry clothes away and just about to iron the small amount that needs diing, cleaned bedroom and made beds, gutted and cleaned bathroom, mopped and cleaned kitchen.....my thinking is I need to change my grumpy mood so sweat it out cleaning! Feeling a lot less bogged down by grumpyness (I can feel it in the background loitering still though) and am going out tonight with my mates to let off some steam

Bangonthedoor · 10/10/2014 18:18

Sounds good memphis! You've been busy! Have a good time this evening. I'm going out tonight also just for a meal at carluccios though, not hitting the pubs! Although I am toying with the idea of having a spritzer?! Is it sad that my biggest worry is that onlookers might see me drinking it and think I'm just fat as I can't be pregnant and drinking?! I feel like a right moose today Hmm hence no bump picture to share on fb!

Memphisbelly · 10/10/2014 18:41

I feel the same will have a spritzer but only in the local pub before we go to the town where people would think in hitting the bottle!

Viperama · 11/10/2014 14:03

Good afternoon ladies, all very quiet on here today. Hope those of you that can are out enjoying your Saturday!

Just had a shower and my weekly hair wash, can't be bothered to blow dry it but know I'll regret it later. I feel munting enough without adding bad hair to the mix.

23 weeks tomorrow, so only 5 away from good survival rate. 28 is my short term goal at the moment.

Congrats tori here's hoping for a very sticky bean.
Viper my mumsnet was down this morning.
Just got back from shopping with DS I'm absolutely shattered and in agony with shooting pains from my bottom down my left leg. It had me in tears this morning. Anyone else?

Bimberley · 11/10/2014 16:52

Hi girls!
Been absent due to a horrid cold, DS starting nursery and DD catching every bug possible from school!

24+2 today. Pelvis is so painful at night. I cant roll over anymore so have to sit up and re position all night :(

Upside is my DS has started nursery two days a week so I can come back to bed and nap :)
Going to three days when baby arrives.

Feel like ive past a milestone at 24 weeks, especially as DD was early.

Another horrid symptom this week is constipation and I think the start of piles. Which I've been told will go after delivery!!!!! I was wasn't expecting that long!

Anyways enough of me now!

Bimberley · 11/10/2014 16:54

And huge congratulations tori!

Memphisbelly · 11/10/2014 17:19

Congrats tori.

Bimberley I too feel that 24 weeks is the goal I wanted...not onto 28 and 32!

Donkir that sounds like sciatica! i get it in my bum but it only sometimes shoots down my leg.

I just cooked sweet and sour, wolfed it down and now lying in bed i am so tired going to have a nana nap

Bimberley · 11/10/2014 17:40

Ive set my next goal at 30 weeks. Then a huge one will be 33 weeks which DD was born at.

Dh has just finished work and said he will grab a takeaway on way home.
Not sure what yet but im craving something greasy and unhealthy today.
Have a good nap :)

freneticfox · 11/10/2014 19:10

Congrats Tori, wishing you all the best. Great to hear from you :)

22 weeks today! A friend of mine just entered her third trimester and remarked it feels like she's been pregnant for so long.. that's exactly how I feel. People keep saying 'oh isn't it going quickly?'... um nope. Not for me. It's dragging immensely for me. Although probably not helped by being on bed rest.

Donkir I'm getting pains like that in addition to lower back and hip pain. Have you asked for a physio referral?

LittleMissSunshine33 · 11/10/2014 19:36

Congrats Tori fingers crossed for you!!

Frenetic I think it's gone quite quick til now but think it's about to slow down til Christmas!

Went to the baby and toddler show today so overwhelmed by the choice of everything! Made the right decision by taking my friend rather than OH meant could spend more time going to and from stalls. Finally decided to get silver cross surf2 with matching everything!!! Very pleased just nursery furniture now then that's all the big bits! Eeeek getting more real now Shock

donkir · 11/10/2014 20:31

Frenetic, I've not really done anything about it I tend to just plough on through. Think I did scare ds this morning though so will definitely see someone if it carries on.

GeekyHybrid · 11/10/2014 20:52

Very frustrating day here. Awake since 5. Had to rescue my laundry twice, the 2nd downpour was so extreme I had to strip by the back door and grab a tea towel for my hair to avoid puddles all over the house. MN was down all am, just as it came back our internet went down Sad Went to do oven chips but found only about 3 left in the bag cos someone (OH) hadn't put them on shopping list. and now he's claiming he's too tired to go to the village firework display all of 5 minute walk away and free Angry Should've just stayed in bed from the beginning.
Congrats tori and well done to those who managed a productive day, fingers crossed for those of us who didn't to have a better one tomorrow.

Memphisbelly · 11/10/2014 21:09

My blind for baby room has failed, it just doesn't work Sad i may just make sone curtains and buy a blackout blind for behind it...so annoyed with myself!

kkllww · 12/10/2014 07:38

Congrats Tori!

Donkir - I've had this on & off for the past few weeks - as others have said, it sounds like sciatica. I've got a Physio referral but just as I'm about to organise it, it'll ease for a few days. And I don't wanna shell out the £100 excess unless it's constantly really bad.

blankfornames · 12/10/2014 08:46

Good morning Ladies,
Tori, lovely to hear back from you! Thanks for popping in to say hi! Hope this pregnancy goes without hitch for you!
After a moany wk last wk, I'm definitely feeling brighter again. DH felt kicks on Friday, so lovely to finally see his reaction. Then yday, Bean gave such a hard kick that it frightened the bejaysus out of me & I jumped a mile!
In sleeping news, woke up with 6 leg cramps last night!! I've ordered a Therlaline pillow so looking forward to trying that on Monday when I get it. My friend said it saved her sleep hugely!
Happy Sunday y'all!

BanglesSpangles · 12/10/2014 10:29

Morning all, congrats tori- lovely to hear from you and fingers crossed everything goes as it should

Donkir- def sounds like sciatica- ive been plagued with it on and off for weeks, mainly after ive carried anything too heavy. Yoga stretches have really helped though. Talking of which- pregnancy yoga classes start tomorrow- really looking forward to it!

Bangonthedoor · 12/10/2014 16:00

Afternoon everyone Smile

Haven't been around much this weekend as have had a busy one! Went to a party last night for a friends30th. It was great to be there but I find it hard to party without having had a wine or 3...is that really bad?!

What has everyone else been upto this wkend?

Good to hear from you tori! Sorry to hear about the blind memphis definitely worth a go though! I don't have the patience to even start things like that!

Baby seems to be fine, moving lots which is lovely, pretty sure I'm having a girl too. My bump is getting more and more girl like by the day. I feel really lucky that I don't ever seem to encounter any pregnancy related problems (touch wood).

Memphisbelly · 12/10/2014 18:33

Bangon I am the same, hate going out and seeing people get wrecked I feel so sensible, a few glasses just to loosen me up would be great, not going put to the pub now until xmas when my friend is back from Aus as I just find it boring.

Went into town today and bought one of those feeding pillows and a lovely blanket with foxes on (I love orange on babies) also got a few xmas presents, dh bought me some new Uggs for xmas as I don't want anything else due to me probably being the size of a house by then!

Put a stew in this morning and just ate that and now back in bed after hitting a wall of tiredness again, overall been less grumpy today though!

suzimagoozi · 12/10/2014 18:47

Braved a baby show today with DH in tow. Picked up our pushchair of choice (Silvercross Pioneer) with free car seat and a whole bunch of awesome bottles, pumps by haberman that replicate breast feeding for when mixed feeding. So tired now and so much work to do to get ready for the week ahead.

5 work days left until friend's wedding in London, then flight to Australia for my sister's wedding and 2 weeks relaxing in pool/at beach. Can't wait!! Grin ...bought some uber-non-sexy flight socks for the trip Wink

JacktheLab · 12/10/2014 21:54
