Oh my goodness. That sounds so scary. So glad to hear that you are on the mend now.

Scan tomorrow morning. DH felt baby kick for the first time this morning Smile.

Memphisbelly · 05/10/2014 10:48

Im having a bad day with ds he won't bloody listen to me, on top of his sickness on friday he poo'd his pants today due to not getting enough warning (ends of this bug I reckon) and my stomach is so weak im heaving at everything. .... Why did I think having another was a good idea? Confused

freneticfox · 05/10/2014 11:24

sand - that sounds terrifying, glad you are home and on the mend, hope you have a speedy (but gentle) recovery!

Memphis - sending positive vibes. Also having one of those days thanks to the back 'incident' yesterday. Got a feeling the next 19 weeks aren't going to be pleasant.

Wowzers sand, what a day! Glad to hear youre both ok

Still in bed, but am internet shopping, so thus, am not wasting my morning

Viperama · 05/10/2014 11:47

Oh Sand I'm so sorry you've had to go through all that. But you are right, you and your baby are proper fighters. I feel for your DH, my DP has been hit really hard by all that's happened, it's really not easy for them bless them. Prayers for you and yours xx

Grinningcat · 05/10/2014 11:55

Now annoyed as I've just unpacked my lovely new icandy raspberry to find the storage pod is cracked in a couple of places. Have left a message at the shop and sent an email for them to call me as no-one is picking up the phone. Frustrating. Hope we don't have to wait 5 months for a replacement!

Viperama · 05/10/2014 11:55

Oh Jack, docs said I'm only up to pee the next two weeks. Will check out cervix progress 15/10 and if I've responded I'll just take it easy at home next 4 months, puttering will be permitted. They didn't say what would hapken if no progress has been made, I'm assuming admission to antenatal until things do improve. which would be dull, but if its necessary for Igy bring it on.
Read up a bit, progesterone persssarys which I'm on daily now are very effective, more so than stitch. So I'm doubled up to make Igy stay put.

Viperama · 05/10/2014 11:56

Oh how many post am I making!? Who do I pm for our fb group?

sandulacek · 05/10/2014 12:11

And how do you pm someone via mobile or tablet app?

Hopefully find out if our little fighter is pink or blue tomorrow and I could do one little cheeky purchase. Haven't done any shopping yet so will spend time researching prams and other things online I think. Doctors are hinting 6 weeks recovery.

Bangonthedoor · 05/10/2014 13:09

Feeling quite productive today. Just got home from a lovely sunny walk in the woods. I just love love love autumn Smile

Planning on making a couple of cakes later for my friends birthday tomorrow, although will be nothing like yours bangles! I'll have to say DD did itGrin

Sorry you're having a rubbish day memphis. Bugs are so horrible Hmm

I don't feel like I've really got any baby prep to do ...apart from wash all of DD's baby clothes but that can wait

donkir · 05/10/2014 13:25

Wardrobes sorted today. All pre bump clothes (didn't realise how many I had) are in storage bags ready to go in loft. The baby clothes we do have are currently drying on the line.
Think i may have a temperature being organised is just not like meWink

Memphisbelly · 05/10/2014 13:44

Wow to all this productivity. Im doing roast chicken later and will try and finish my blind...nut I may put my pjs on and take the bra off haha

BanglesSpangles · 05/10/2014 14:03

:) bang- im sure itll be scrummy- i always think however the outside looks, the inside always tastes better!

Productivity for me too, now ive actually got up- just mowed the lawn, dh is doing the final weed and chop back of the year (we dont bother with the garden over the winter) and im going to get a food shop in. Its all go here!

Memphisbelly · 05/10/2014 14:19

Donkir I did that with my clothes the other week. So many, my aim is to clear half of them once baby is here...be ruthless and do a massive carboot in the summer with all the baby stuff too

Minichuch · 05/10/2014 15:18

No productivity for me today although have just been and bought some storage boxes - on hols for next week and half so plenty of time to start sorting things during this time - will be easier without dh as I am more ruthless on getting rid of items

thingsarelookingup · 05/10/2014 15:48

I have my scan tomorrow too. I remember from a couple of weeks ago there are quite a few of us all getting scans tomorrow and early next week. I'm hoping to find out the gender which is quite exciting.

I can't believe how productive you are all being. I am feeling sorry for myself because I have a cold and have been looking after DS on my own all weekend because DH is working (I'm aware of how pathetic this sounds given what a few of you have been through recently).

Viper I hope the bed rest, stitch and progesterone all get things back on track for you.

Memphisbelly · 05/10/2014 16:24

Oh my goodness totally off the baby topic but never ever book a disney holiday direct with disney! i have had nothing but hastle from them. Booked last december had to chase them until august for them to allow to make deposit and confirm our crossing times. I now dont have my statement showing money went out and just called to make final payment and there is no show of deposit so i have been asking why they didnt contact me? They expected me to pay for a new booking which is £400 more than when we booked, finally sorted for original price.
I needed to rant about this or I would pop!

amyandtom · 05/10/2014 16:53

We are due Feb 6th with our boy Smile

JacktheLab · 05/10/2014 17:13

Busy busy day!!! Baby's room is still a tip so no photos, but am proud of DS's new room so might post up a photo of that on facebook later.

If you want an invite to the group, just pm me, giving me a note of your email address seems to work ok, or I'll let you know who I am and you can friend me and then I'll add you that way. On the app I think you should be able to click a link next to any of my posts and send a message that way?

I'm aching, top left of my bump is so sore but I think I've done way too much this weekend, with taking things to the dump, building furniture and batch cooking this afternoon, good thing I have an office job, I need to sit down for the rest of the week!! There is a full washing basket of ironing which isnt going to get done until maybe thursday I think!

I did make a practice run at my DS's birthday cake this afternoon, if it's worked the way I hope I will definetly show off, although it's not as good as some decorators in this group!

Viper, sounds like the doc's are looking after you well and the prognosis is good, do you have any other children? Hoping you have lots of support to allow you to rest as much as you need to!

Sands, scary stuff, hope you are feeling better now, these babies are tough little things!!!

Memphis, actually neither DS nor DH swim, but at I only have to carry DS round the pool, DH would be quite another effort! ;)

Hello to amy :D

longbottom · 05/10/2014 17:34

Have been up to the big smoke this weekend to visit DB and new baby, she seemed tiny!
I have purchased, cot, all bedding and moses basket with stand. Feeling slightly more real!
Got scan on Tuesday at 4.30pm, taking DD6 so very excited!! Defo not finding out sex.
Hope all the poorly ladies are feeling better, and the scariness stops!

GeekyHybrid · 05/10/2014 19:15

Blimey - lots of drama on here to catch up on, so much going on whilst I've been busy / distracted. Viper and sand - double blimeys! I hope you are getting lots of rest etc.. Really does go to show just how determined the little blighters are to hold on in there. Bless 'em!

As for me it's been bonkers since mid week. This Saturday was harvest supper which for some reason I seemed to be in charge of organising. So mid week was final planning meeting / composing of final shopping list. Thursday was our end of season 'do' at work -the garden is now closed to the public until next Easter :-D. Though you can imagine who ended up being 'taxi' for several colleagues. Friday we went up to London, lunch with my nephew, made use of Tesco vouchers to see Kensington Palace then met up with my mate who happens to help coordinate umbilical cord donations for Anthony Nolan. We also had a right laugh going around Harrods looking at all the things baby doesn't need - $570 woollen coat for 3mo old?! £2k Aston Martin ltd edition buggy anyone?! Saturday was running around collecting wine / bread rolls / meat and prepping food for harvest supper and then getting 70+ ploughmans out of the village hall kitchen. Today we met up with an old mate for lunch, had a look in mothercare and boots - who had run out of bounty packs :-/ and then visited his Grandma. I think I need a vacation, oh well, I'll just have to go to work instead.

Sorry for the long post, amazing how much happens in just a few days. Fingers crossed that it's a quieter time all around with no dramas for a while, good luck for all those having their scans. And welcome amy, same due date as myself - check out jacks fab spreadsheet! Take care all, xx

JacktheLab · 05/10/2014 20:28

I can't take the credit, I think it's Frenetic's work?

Memphisbelly · 05/10/2014 20:34

Geeky wow I have heard about the Aston Martin pushchair but that is serious money for baby clothes! My dh has a few friends who dress their kids in labels from adidas, Ralph Lauren and dior I think its awful to waste so much money and prefer Next....thats as posh as I go Grin

freneticfox · 05/10/2014 21:17

Spreadsheet isn't my handiwork, not sure who the mastermind is!

Another tough day with back pain. Fun times eh.

Spreadshet is my anally retentive love Grin

My boss, honking snob that she is was telling me about a niece's baby who had been kitted out entirely in primark- she genuinely felt sorry for the 'poor baby' and dutifully rushed off to harrods to buy something pretty!

I currently have heartbun so bad that it feels like my ears are going to explode
