Good luck bump! This is all getting very exciting. 37w here, and despite having a feeling weeks ago I would go early, I'm now thinking I'll be late....

kittyvet · 19/09/2014 12:57

Wow more babies soon then! Good luck excited and bump!

ohthegoats · 19/09/2014 13:34

Good luck Bump, hope it goes smoothly!

Where is troubleandfyfe's birth story? Have I missed it somewhere obvious?

ohthegoats · 19/09/2014 13:44

Can anyone tell me if a racing heartbeat is a major problem? It doesn't last very long, but last night for about 15 minutes, and again just now I have this racing pulse/heart rate - counted it last night at 140bpm. It calmed down quickly, so I thought it might have been to do with moving stuff around up and down stairs... but right now all I've done is eat some lunch - been sat down pretty much all day.

Good luck Bump!! Looks like we're waiting news from Yellow and Excited.
I still can't believe all these babies being horn early - it's so exciting!!

Thinking of you all xx

sazzlehopes · 19/09/2014 13:56

Thanks for the new thread. I need to be add but will try and do so when I get to a computer...

So today really sharp stabby pains down below all along my old c section scar. I'll be 39 weeks tomorrow. General walking etc painful but seems to ease up if I sit down. I don't think it's labour, but I am worried about the painful scar. Anyone else had this feeling? I might just mention to midwife when I see her next Thursday, I'll be 2 days off my due date then. I'm trying for vbac this time and just hope my scar isn't playing up!

Good luck to bump, yellow and cj! Can't wait to hear all your news!

Pregnantagain7 · 19/09/2014 13:56

Oh my ipad died just after I posted and couldn't charge it til now. Must have xposted with cj. How exciting good luck :)
bump good luck too these babies are coming thick and fast now whoop whoop you can do it [gets cheerleading pom-poms out on the side lines)

Nothing much happening here just think it was one of those things oh well at least it made me panic enough to pack my bag! Grin

ohthegoats · 19/09/2014 13:57

I have no idea if I have enough iron - all blood tests have been fine, but I've not had any of those for a few weeks. Consultant on Tuesday, so figure I'll get checked out at that point.

All OK now again... weird. I googled and it seems it's just common.

Kirstipops · 19/09/2014 13:58

Goats she posted it on the FB thread, I'll see if she'll post it here.
When I was in the hospital with mystery-bleed and my pulse was over 100bpm they gave me a big jug of water to drink, saying it could be down to dehydration, the doctor also asked if I'd had anything with caffeine in it (I hadn't). After about an hour had passed and I had finished the water my pulse had slowed enough for them to discharge me!

ohthegoats · 19/09/2014 14:00

at least it made me panic enough to pack my bag

All these early ones are making me panic a bit too - going to pack the final hospital bag tonight (after I've been shopping for the food and drink type stuff to go in it), too. Keep meaning to get round to it, but it doesn't happen. I'm wondering if I'm going to be one of those women who finally relaxes after finishing work and sorting out some other stressful stuff, and immediately drops.

Would really quite like a week to sit down and rest up though.

Pregnantagain7 · 19/09/2014 14:00

sazzle my pains have been all along the top of my bikini line this morning and have had stabby pains and like lightening bolts up my fanjo. Maybe it's coincidence that it along your scar and maybe would be in that area anyway? But as you say get checked out with your midwife when you see her.

ohthegoats · 19/09/2014 14:01

Thanks Kirsti - I've been pretty thirsty today actually, then drank lots with lunch... maybe it'll work its way through.

Lily31 · 19/09/2014 14:19

To those on mat leave... A big whoop! I have to work Monday and then I can officially start chillaxing.

Still being really indecisive about things like changing bags, pictures for the nursery, what to put in the hospital bag. I have packed one, but I feel like I need to start again.

The only thing I can think of as a non perishable savoury snack is mini cheddars. Love em. Any other suggestions? My mum made cheese and pickle sarnies then froze them, they had defrosted in time for my dads hunger pangs in hospital and it is the main memory he had of my birth. Thought that might be an idea...

Mrsthedog · 19/09/2014 14:30

We've packed super noodle deli boxes in our hospital bag - they are like a pot noodle but they feel a little more grown up!

I have packed salted breadsticks and pretzels with nutella and Lotus caramelised biscuit spread to dip them in as my favourite snack - seems to hit the spot for savoury and sweet.

Keep on having to forget they are in there...

Lily31 · 19/09/2014 14:37

Good tips Mrs. Of course! Had forgotten there will be hot water for noodles etc...

Never heard of caramelised biscuit spread. That sounds amazing! Going to hit Sainsbury's this weekend Smile

binkybunny · 19/09/2014 15:04

Also been struggling with savoury ideas, hoping dh will have plenty of time to make sandwiches. Mrs great idea about the noodles, adding to my shopping list. Think I might need a separate bag just for my food Blush.

gunwalloe · 19/09/2014 15:05

Pregnantagain my second labour started with period pains I went for a bath and regular contractions then started

sazzle just had my pre op and they asked me if I've had any scar pain or tenderness so definatley worth mentioning to your MW

So pre op went good I feel kinda calm hopefully it lasts. Just two of us booked in on Tuesday and as I've got GD I go first :)

Weird thing - has anyone had their Braxton Hicks stop? I'd been having some every evening for the last 3 or so weeks maybe but in the last 2 or 3 nights there have been nada? Are my uterine muscles that good now they don't feel they need the practice anymore?! Grin
Gun glad the pre-op went well, only 4 sleeps for you, IF you sleep that is ;)

FrauEnglischLehrerin · 19/09/2014 15:45

goats did your hb slow down gradually or go abruptly from fast to normal in one beat? I get episodes of the latter (SVT) fairly regularly whenever I'm a bit under the weather or unfit; it's nothing life-threatening, but the hospital ran several diagnostic tests last time I was pregnant as they were worried that the abrupt change in blood volume after giving birth could cause problems. In the end their tests were inconclusive and I had no issues when dd was born. Definitely worth mentioning it to someone though.

gunwalloe · 19/09/2014 16:00

kirsti 3 nts sleep and 1 sleepless night I expect :)

My night time braxtons have stopped thankfully but the ones that are triggered by me walking are still here unfortunately

SweetPeaPods · 19/09/2014 16:07

Lilly I have packed couple if bags of hula hoops, big bag haribo (as that's what I wanted when back on postnatal ward with ds), pack of custard creams, some energy sweets and some mints. Apart from haribo I didn't eat anything last time as mws kept bringing us toast as we had been there that long!
DH said he'll make some sandwiches if we have time before we leave for hospital. I'll also chuck some fruit in from fruit bowl. Got haribo in freezer, small bottle of squash in bag and some straws.

CellyD · 19/09/2014 16:34

Welcome MB34. Good luck bump and yellow. Excited I hope you're already enjoying cuddles with you LO, can't wait for the update.

No signs of labour but maybe packing my hospital bag will get the ball rolling, hope springs eternal.... Thanks for noodle suggestion MrsDog, my DP will be a happy birth partner now.

What other savoury items can I pack? I'd be grateful for any further suggestions. Thank you.

sazzlehopes · 19/09/2014 16:41

gun and pregnant thanks for the pain feedback! I'll see if it worsens over the weekend and progresses into something more. If not I'll just mention it to the midwife on Thursday. It's still there, and also feels like the baby is moving and making it worse too, like he's shifting about and causing the pain... Not how I remember labour starting last time but definitely something going on!
