BadgerInBury · 25/09/2014 23:09

Sending you what strength I can, fedup. Stay positive. You'll both get through this.

Grannyapple · 25/09/2014 23:11

Just caught up ladies...been busy at work today...finish up on Monday!

Congrats yellow & porcito! These babies arriving are making me slightly nervous...need to pack a bag just in case & pool is being delivered tomorrow! 37wks today do officially term...but still convinced in going to be giving birth at end of October!

YellowWellies · 25/09/2014 23:44

Fed up I'm cool with Lilly having dairy free formula top ups via syringe asap to flush the jaundice through - it was the only thing that sorted J's jaundice. A mw is making up a feed of nutramigen now actually. She's also having 4ml of expressed colostrum. Fingers crossed tomorrow her tongue tie will be snipped and she'll be able to get much more milk herself. From experience with j I'm sure long term BF will be unaffected by this wee intervention. I just want her sorted asap and I think this is the quickest way xx

Kirstipops · 25/09/2014 23:46

fedup what a rotten time of it you're having, I'm sorry you're back in hospital, I hope you'll both be home soon for good once the test results are back and you have some answers.
Goats and mum my DH has come home poorly as well, self inflicted though as he's blaming it on his uncharacteristic greasy spoon style breakfast he had today! Nausea+dicky tum you would think would not be an ideal ingredient for him to slope off for a game of 7-a-sides with his friends but he didn't want to let them down so off he went, and of course came back feeling worse :-/ So Sir Retching McFartypants went straight to bed leaving me, Lady Fanny O'Tenderdownstairs on my tod with no inclination to make myself dinner. Thankfully my froof headbutts are over with and I'm dying to go up to bed but I don't imagine either of us will be particularly pleasant bedfellows tonight.
Oh the humanity.....heyho, 40 weeks in t-minus 15 minutes....

No plan from doctor yet but I have been asleep. They won't do top up via syringe (unless tiny amount of colostrum)!here as it's dangerous apparently. Only via cup, bottle or tube. He's woken up for a feed now and seemingly feeding well.

Why dairy free yellow? They just seem to offer cow and gate here or nothing. Glad you know what's causing the jaundice as should be sorted with tongue tie snip.
Rory's heels are covered in bruises and blood as over the last week he's had so many tests! It's horrible! He's had 3 Cannulas as well so bruised hands.

Good luck bugs and thinking of you.!

Just seen nurse and apparently all blood tests normal so nothing obvious there. Plan is to carry on feeding well then do another spr test at 9am ish. I reckon he will be above treatment line then and will therefore need more phototherapy. Let's see though. Said I didn't mind doing formula top up but she said as I have lots of milk it wasn't necessary. Let's see what happens tomorrow morn I guess.

binkybunny · 26/09/2014 04:05

fedup sorry to hear you're back in hospital again, hope all is sorted soon. I believe Yellows lb had a dairy intollerance, hence the dairy free formula.

Yellow hope tongue tie/ jaundice is sorted out for you too so you can get home.

biggerlugs good luck! How have you progressed overnight? You've made me really nervous now about the amount of discharge I've been losing for the last few weeks Shock.

Badger I turned over from that last night, I couldn't cope with it!

Was hoping today was going to be a better day than yesterday but only had 2 hours sleep so far, so I'm just going to be tired and grouchy.

On the plus side, I have found a lovely cream sleigh cotbed. Going to look at it tomorrow to check quality before ordering. If I get more sleep I might drive through today but it's 50 miles away so a bit nervous going on my own.

38 weeks today here's hoping baby arrives this time next week Grin

ohthegoats · 26/09/2014 06:01

What a ridiculous night.

No toilet in house all day yesterday, so didn't drink enough. Obvious thirst before bed, which results in 10 wees between 10 and 3. Feel coldy and shit, so take paracetamol before bed to hopefully knock me out. Instead have 3 hours of period pain and BH that actually start me thinking it's time to start timing them. Sleep maybe a bit around 1am, wake up at 4 absolutely starving. Eat pot of muller rice, come back to bed. Immediate raging heartburn. Half a packet of rennies later I finally remember where the zantac are and take one of those. Still raging.

Meanwhile the baby has been going NUTS all night.

Have to get up at 7, tiler coming at 8. Another day without a toilet. Raaaah.

tak1ngchances · 26/09/2014 06:12

Heading off to the hospital for c-section now, wish me luck!

Grannyapple · 26/09/2014 06:36

Good luck taking...I'm sure it'll all be fine & you'll be cuddling your newborn before you know it later today!

fedup can't believe the time you're having...hope you're both home soon xxx

Lulu298 · 26/09/2014 06:53

Good luck taking and hope you have a better day fedup. Congrats yellow and porcito.

Bit of a TMI question, but is it normal for bowel habits to change in the last month or so? Since about two weeks ago, when I was 34 weeks-ish, suddenly my bowel movements got much looser!

puppythedog · 26/09/2014 07:01

Good luck taking chances Grin
Fingers crossed this stuff gets sorted soon Fedup.
Hope you are okay and things professing well Lugs.

kittyvet · 26/09/2014 07:14

Good luck taking and fed up! Hope these yellow babies get well soon.
lulu I am 37 wks now and last few weeks have definitely had looser stools- I understand it's the increased prostaglandins in our bloods getting us ready for birth.

kittyvet · 26/09/2014 07:15

Oops I meant lugs!
fed up hope your LO well soon :)

ohthegoats · 26/09/2014 08:11

Good luck taking! By the end of the day you won't be pregnant anymore... lucky you! Oh, and obviously you'll have something lovely to cuddle.

Pregnantagain7 · 26/09/2014 08:42

Aaarghh sorry can't keep up sorry if I miss anyone!

porcito congratulations on your little one hope you're enjoying lots of newborn snuggles
yellow congratulations on lillemor love the name and I hope she gets her tongue tie sorted
fedup so sorry you're back in hospital again hope things get sorted and you can get home and start your new life with your boys.
taking lots and lots of luck for today hope everything goes well
buggerlugs good luck hope everything is going well and hopefully you will be mooing your way through some lovely contractions as I type!

And a big Flowers to anyone who is achey, fed up and had enough today.

I'm going back to my bed after two cocodamol as my back has given up today and I can't seem to walk! My mum has taken the baby and dp has done the school run so I am alone! Plan to take full advantage and try and get some sleep.

ohthegoats · 26/09/2014 08:53

Boyfriend made the mistake of coming in this morning and asking how I'd slept. I warned he'd get cried on, to which he just did a massive fart.. in my bed. Cue meltdown. Tiler is here, but things are much quieter than yesterday... I'm going to sleep on the sofa as much as I can. Not sure I've got a choice actually, my eyes are shutting.

Can I take co-codamol pregnant? I didn't know that... that'll properly knock me out.

STIGZ · 26/09/2014 08:57

Thinking of you taking ... Your time is has comeGrin

Im feeling really sad today, found out late last night that dp's colleague was found dead Sad he was only 48 and we lived around the corner from him, dp seen him on monday morning and they reckon he died monday night, found in his bed last night, sorry to put doom & gloom on this thread.., but my mind is blown by how unexpected this was!! Feeling really sad for his family as i know how shit i feel .., so they will be absolutly devastated, it is so true that you just never know the minute!!

Anyhoo on a lighter note.,, what are these loose bowel movements & when will i get them ? So bagged up with trapped wind around my ribs stabbing meAngry not to mention baba's head aswell !! My bump is still so high, doubt her wee bum will drop into my pelvis now? Can just feel little toes & feet booting me left right & centre !!

ohthegoats · 26/09/2014 09:03

Oh stigz, that's crap. Too young!

what are these loose bowel movements & when will i get them?

Can I pay for them to get them right now?

Boyfriend said I looked a bit lower today, but that was only to make me feel better after meltdown, I'm nowhere near.

STIGZ · 26/09/2014 09:15

goats your bf farting in bed has just made me chuckle ... Tell him thanks, didnt think i would be laughing today Grin

ohthegoats · 26/09/2014 09:20

It was the stinky straw that broke the camels back this morning with me. Ooh, the way he giggled to himself, he's lucky he's still got bollocks Wink

Lily31 · 26/09/2014 09:39

Hope all goes well for those in hospital, either with bubbas or delivering bubbas.

Lulu my bowel movements are very unpredictable at the moment. Had a good bowel day yesterday and weighed 2lbs less this morning... Whoa. Looking forward to looser times Grin

Time to head to my besties to spend the day with a teething lo. Hope people have a good day.

kittyvet · 26/09/2014 09:41

Last night I thought I was having some contraction type things but it turned out to be gas :) Think my body has really good sense of humour! Awake for 2 hours pondering it though... Don't know how you are supposed to rest in early labour!!
