Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

At the moment I'll take forceps, c-section or anything just not to be pregnant any more! Feeling a bit like cellyd today, I can't get comfortable sat, laid or stood up. I've lost all my energy to actually do anything and when I try and do it I hurt. Now I'm laid here with restless legs and tired but can't sleep. I've had enough pre baby mat leave now just want my baby and feel like we can start with the next chapter of our lives!

Ok whingy moan over, hope I get up in a better mood tomorrow!

stigz feeling for you with the Pgp. I started getting it and made sure I got some interventions sharpish.
Out of interest, have you seen any specialists? I've found osteo and acupuncture has done wonders.

A ventouse helped get my first baby out so it's definitely not pointless !

pusscous · 24/09/2014 03:20

Congratulations to Mrsc, captain and gun on the arrivals

Im 36+1 today, looking forward to newborn snuggles, but would like more time with DH and to sort last things on our list. This weekend we finished painting the whole house. Just have a few shelves to put up and fit out the built in wardrobe in nursery. A few decorative things to make and would like to make mincemeat(not available in California) and pickled onions, stash of pastry for the freezer and top up meals in freezer.

Had 36 appointment today measuring 36 weeks so all good, I tjimk bump looks small, but keeping getting trapped thinking I can fit through smaller spaces. I've put on 20 pounds/ 1 and half pounds. Not to bad and a few pound was liquid- drank a pint of water, a hot chocolate and a bottle of water before appointment but could only squeeze out a dribble of urine!

Have a lovely day (Wednesday) ladies and hope aches and pains are not too bad.

porcito · 24/09/2014 04:46

Eeeeek! Just got back from the doctor as had reduced movements...they're taking her out tomorrow! So much for my Grey's Anatomy mat leave marathon Grin

Suddenly not as prepared as I thought!

Would definitely recommend getting checked if any doubt - I hesitated for 2 days due to everything being fine the millions of other times, but the amniotic fluid was very low and her heart was below normal. So glad I went!

FlipFantasia · 24/09/2014 04:53

Porcito eek! Exciting! Glad you got checked out and you'll have her in your arms so soon! Good luck tomorrow.

Puss I also usually make my own mincemeat but check out cost plus world market - they stock tonnes of international food, including British stuff like mincemeat.

Mamami · 24/09/2014 05:41

Wow Portcito I think it's so easy to get complacent near the end. Glad they caught you in time & baba will be here soon.

Congrats all on beautiful new babies.

After lots of heartbreak, misfortune and worry, I've finally reached 37 weeks today and my cervical stitch is coming out. Seemed almost impossible at times and I can't sleep for jittery excitement - I know nothing's certain yet but taking a few hours to be rather chuffed with my baby and my body. Grin

binkybunny · 24/09/2014 05:55

Good luck for today portico glad you got checked out and how exciting to meet your little girl!

porcito Thank goodness you went. Good luck.

weeonion · 24/09/2014 07:42

Porcito - good luck. Will be checking in later for your news. X

Missus2ndwife · 24/09/2014 07:46

Good luck Porcito!! Glad you got yourself checked xx

Bump - yay to being bump buddies

Is it Lily who is having pgp pain? I've also been having acupuncture and now hydrotherapy which I have found very helpful and I would definitely recommend.

At NCT we discussed the use of forceps and ventouse. There are no risks to the baby and it certainly does not cause any damage apart from some scratches or bruises for a couple weeks, but I suddenly feel very scared about the whole birth process whereas before I was feeling very relaxed Hmm

ohthegoats · 24/09/2014 07:50

Good luck porcito, hope everything goes smoothly!

Today I'm madly jealous of boyfriend going off to work. I get to lumber around the house and then go for lunch with women who will only talk aboutb breastfeeding or similar, he gets to not hurt and then spend time with people who actually talk about stuff going on in the world.

I need the baby to arrive so I can stop getting upset about what I'm missing out on by having a baby or being out of the work place. It's ridiculous that boyfriend doesn't like his job, so finds it hard to imagine my issues with this.

Kirstipops · 24/09/2014 08:07

Oh lord Goats can you pull a sickie to get out of the bf'ing gathering? I get people will want to talk baby stuff with me but agree that it gets v tiresome if it's the ONLY topic of conversation!

Will be thinking of you today Porcito, so exciting, good on you going with your instinct!

My friend had forceps to deliver her first baby and her own consultant specifically wrote in her notes for her 2nd baby that they were NOT to be used on her again, which fairly put me off, though I know everyone's experiences are different. Thanks for the tip about checking out stats for my own hospital though, I'll go hunting for them now :)

bumpbangbump · 24/09/2014 08:31

Congratulations captain and gun. More lovely babies to add to the mix.

Good luck today portico. Really glad you went to get checked.

Day 3 of mat leave and so far so good. Batch cooked a couple of soupss on Monday, pedicure and drinks with friends Tuesday and a day with ds today. Just need to decide what to do!

Have a great day ladies.

clops2000 · 24/09/2014 08:35

Congrats to all those welcoming their babies into the world - beautiful names all round! Rowan is on our list and may be our chosen middle name :)
I'm 38+6 today and now feeling pretty certain I have another week at least to go as no signs at all yet, had breech scan yesterday and he's turned and is now in position for sure, so nice to see the evidence on the scan instead of MW just being 'quite sure'.
Came home and practiced setting up the pool, so lovely to know we're allowed to have him at home now. Spent most of this week sorting piles of papers in the office..one of those jobs that takes ages and looks like you've achieved nothing!
Good luck today portico, looks like we might get at least a baby a day at this rate!

fedupofrainydays · 24/09/2014 08:38

I also had on my notes that forceps weren't allowed this time - think the word 'rotational' forceps were used. This is because of my tear last time.

Does anyone know much about mat leave? So Rory was born whilst I was on annual leave. Mat leave doesn't start til 1 October. Is it in my interest to start mat leave when he was born (ie is it better holiday wise) or do I let it go with HR? It was a right faff to work out entitlements before as I work PT. Thanks.

Trying to have a lie in this morn to be worked up by excessive sawing and drilling noises in the loft extension. Ugh.

Also got bad sweats at night and after birth cramps! MW said yesterday my uterus was amazingly efficient - had contracted down a week ahead of itself. I thought does this mean flat tummy? Just checked in mirror.... Errr no.

Good luck porcito thinking of you!

goats have you not met mums to be who are on the same page? My NCT was mostly like minded people who we chat about normal stuff and life too - but just the babies. I too got sick of those who could only talk to me anoint baby stuff. It's also hard to relate to before the baby arrives!

fedupofrainydays · 24/09/2014 08:39

*NOT just the babies that was meant to say
