Sorry if I've missed anyone off, or got anything wrong... I tried to trawl back through the thread but my internet's not the speediest.

sazzle, so frustrating! They're such teases these babies! Hope something happens soon for you, make missing the lunch worthwhile!

I love it, but am possibly the only person in the whole of Mexico who's even heard of it so a good excuse to look my giant self in a large room and watch it. I'm saving Breaking Bad for when the baby's here and I'm up all night! Orange is the New Black is good too.

Missus2ndwife · 23/09/2014 17:04

Congrats to Gun and her little girl! Can't wait to hear more

xx

cabster · 23/09/2014 17:36

Congratulations to you both captain and gun! Glad we have 2 more safe arrivals :)

And yay for your homecoming fedup

Not much to report apart from lots of foetal hiccuping, and this little sausage REALLY needs to keep himself to himself until I've got Manics tickets on Thursday morning.

Pregnantagain7 · 23/09/2014 17:39

Massive congratulations to gun and capatain Flowers
Really great news you're heading home cj fingers crossed that's your sticky patch over with and you can chill and relax and get to know your little man :)

I have had enough today two lots of really shitty news and I just feel totally drained by it all. I'm hosting an 18th birthday tea for my stepson and my kids at the mo and actually felt like falling asleep in the cake. When dp gets home got an hour round trip to give dss a lift home.

I had a consultant app and growth scan yesterday scan estimates the baby weighs almost 8 lbs now (37 weeks) when I spoke to the doctor about possibly being induced around my due date she said the consultant was happy for me to go 8 or 9 days over and that they would see me again at 40 weeks I just couldn't help it and snapped at her I said "I'm sure she is however it's not her vagina it has to fit out of I would like an appointment at 39 weeks to check the hoe favourable my cervix is and if it is favourable I would like a sweep" she just looked a bit embarrassed and said yes that's fine.

I felt bad afterwards as it's really wasn't her fault but I'm sick of people telling me what's happening to my body. And if one more person tells me I was fine last time with a big baby I will scream!! Grrr sorry about the epic rants post Blush

sazzlehopes · 23/09/2014 18:10

bugs your baby is already 5lbs? That seems ok to me...I mean I know nothing obviously, but it doesn't seem too tiny. I hope though that everything is ok at your next scan, I can understand your concern after trouble ttc.

pregnant sorry you're having a naff day... Hope party goes ok, and like Goats good for you for telling them what you want to do with YOUR body!

YellowWellies · 23/09/2014 18:24

Goats a MW at hospital utterly agreed with me on refusing keilland forceps - she reckoned its the only intervention she would refuse point blank.

CJ and gun lovely news! Congratulations xxx

Me23 · 23/09/2014 18:24

portico thanks so much for updating the list. Must feel good to finally be on mat leave. I must start watching downton abbey.

sazzle hope you feeling ok now! Here's hoping for a short active labour for you.

I've dropped off the list again, but I'll try get on a computer and update later or tomorrow.

sazzlehopes · 23/09/2014 18:36

Bugs I see, hoping all is well for you. At least they are keeping a good eye on it for you.

Yellow any more action for you?

STIGZ · 23/09/2014 18:47

Happy birthday new arrivalsWink. Cant wait to see some pics to get me in the mood for a baby of my ownGrin

Goats & pregnant . Bloody well done on stating your wishes to health professionals !! Needs to be done more often i think.

Sciatic pain really hurting again today espcially when baby is moving... Was actually crying today .,. Feel like i havnt had a break from pgp pain, now sciatic painSad sleepess nights due to pregnancy related ailments is also taking its toll!! I think i am just frustrated as i have so much i want to do but i cant due to the pain and i cant even sit down and put my feet as this also painful ??? Im just so bloody uncomfortable and dont know what to do with myself ... Freaking out incase baby has damaged my sciatic nerve... I could not live with this on a regular basis .., its honestly the sorest pain i have ever hadSad

YellowWellies · 23/09/2014 18:58

Sazzle still contracting, but now used to life with a rock hard bump so figure this is me for the foreseeable. Have decided I'm going to do my damnedest to finish my last work project this week then start expressing colostrum (in case this baby has blood sugar / GD feeding issues like some of the other GD babies have) on Friday - daren't do it before just in case. Friday I'll be 35+6 which is when my waters went with J. If I can get to 37 weeks I'll be allowed to labour in the water, but given my blood sugars keep on rising I'm not sure what they'll say at clinic tomorrow. I'm already on slow release insulin, fast release insulin and metformin.

Mrsthedog · 23/09/2014 20:09

I juste eaten a whole packet of Percy Pigs. Feeling strangely proud.

Kirstipops · 23/09/2014 20:33

Congrats to you both gun and captain, hope you're enjoying some lovely snuggles just now :)
V chuffed for you CJ, it must be lovely being home after all that.
Lugs sorry I don't know how far on you are, but just to say that I was born 5lbs 12 at 38 weeks and was 100% fine, I even had the cheek to lose a good few ounces in the days after being born and I'm fondly remembered as resembling a wee uncooked chicken those first couple of weeks Blush! I understand the worry though, but I'm sure the 39 week scan will set your mind at rest.

I really need to get my finger out and write something in my birth plan section of my notes. I'm also not up for the idea of forceps, I take it the alternative is ventouse, (or have any of you written that you'd decline that too?) - but if the ventouse didn't work or you had advised that didn't want it, I take it the next option would be a c-section then? Apologies for my ignorance, I haven't looked into this yet, just looking for your thoughts!

Think I jinxed myself yesterday when I told the doc my BH had died off, they're sure as hell back today! I'm knackered this evening and all I did was meet my mum for lunch and visit the grandparents - and yet tomorrow morning I'm planning to go swimming, I'll prob fall asleep on the bus on the way home!!

Pregnant and Goats, well done for sticking to your guns!
Mrsthedog I still have bags of jelly sweets that I bought for my hospital bag ACTUALLY IN THE HOSPITAL BAG, they've been there for 2 weeks! This is unheard of in my house. I feel like celebrating.....with fizzy cola bottles and strawberry shoelaces Hmm

mrsb87 · 23/09/2014 20:44

My hospital bag sweets didn't last 2 days...I even bought an extra bag so I didn't eat the ones in my hospital bag....It didn't work. I just ate them all!
kirstie I fell asleep after swimming for 2 and a half hours! I had plans for my afternoon but that went to pot Hmm I still managed to clean the fridge though so it wasn't a complete wasted day.

ohthegoats · 23/09/2014 20:45

Buggerlugs - I'd have thought almost 6lbs is fine.. both my nephews were that at full term. Mine was 5lbs 12 at 36 weeks and no one seemed to be concerned.

I just accidentally read some feminist-slanted stuff about motherhood, which has given me the rage. Boyfriend came home half way through my rage and got it in the neck... oops.

ohthegoats · 23/09/2014 20:51

I've had a list of stuff to do this week, but frankly some of them require just too much effort. Going up the stairs today was just too much effort, let alone collecting the paperwork together to do what I needed to do. I sat down instead.

ohthegoats · 23/09/2014 21:18

Grr, I ordered a TENs machine to be delivered today from Mothercare. Just now, at 9pm I get a 'non reply' email telling me that my order has changed and it'll be delivered sometime in the next 4 days.

What shite customer service. There is no way to phone them at this time of night, it's all FAQs on their website about deliveries, mine of which can't be tracked. Raaaaah.

CellyD · 23/09/2014 21:19

Congratulations captain and gun! I hope you're enjoying newborn cuddles.

Glad to hear you're home again CJ.

Feeling fed up, achey and tired, I really want this baby to arrive. But I'm so tired at the moment that I'm not sure where I'll find the energy stores I'll need for labour or the gruelling newborn phase... So conflicted, blooming hormones.

CellyD · 23/09/2014 21:22

Sorry forgot my manners during my self indulgent moan. Thanks to everyone for info / advice on introducing a bottle whilst breast feeding.

Bump - I'm also 35 weeks tomorrow and last on the list. Feeling okish - tired & a bit sick (could have been my husband's driving or low sugar). I'm not aware of any twinges as yet and feel like I'll be preggers forever now.

SweetPeaPods · 23/09/2014 23:18

Kirst as far as I am aware the dr will use what they are most comfortable with. You should be able to access stats somewhere which will give you an idea of your local hospital. There are 2 big hospitals near me. I'm in the middle of them both. One has a higher forceps rate, the other has a higher ventouse rate.
I needed forceps with ds, and although wasn't in my birth plan, it was fine, we needed him turned and out. I would have them again this time if it meant avoiding a c section as I want to be able to pick up ds, drive etc quickly afterwards. But the chances of needing them for your second are lower apparently.

ohthegoats · 23/09/2014 23:24

The terse consultant I saw today was all about forceps rather than the 'pointless sucky thing'. The more I think about that conversation, the more annoyed I get.
