Kirstipops · 22/09/2014 22:46

Good luck to our c-sectioners for tomorrow :)
Welcome to the madhouse kipper!
Wow Yellow, 19 more days? Going by the latent labour thread you linked to then maybe that means your LO will just slip out like a wee wet pig at the end Grin (Enjoy that mental image haha!).
Had my 39 week appointment today and all still looking fine but baby still on the brim, doc told me not to get bogged down with that though, my next appointment is two weeks today (if I make it that far, says the doc), and she said they could do a sweep then, which I'll be fine with. After my pal's experience today (also with the help of natal hypno) suddenly the idea of an induction doesn't seem so bad but would still be nice to go "au naturale"

YellowWellies · 22/09/2014 22:56

Yes she did warn me it could be a dash to the hospital when my waters do go. I wish. I'm banking on another 20+ hour job to try to keep my expectations in check!

fedupofrainydays · 23/09/2014 01:06

Haha porcito at adult nappies. New look for pregnant ladies - although the size of my pants and pads am not far off that !

Good luck tomorrow for those with sections!

yellow 19 days?!?! Really when 4 cm. ????

Still in hospital here. Just turned off phototherapy machine so hoping and praying bilirubin levels stay low.

cj are you ok? Glad all is well with ds now but hope you are well too ?

binkybunny · 23/09/2014 05:58

Hope all the cs ladies managed some sleep last night, gun did you manage to get your rings off?

We moved the crib into our room at the weekend, as the cotbed is arriving for the nursery this week. We bought the crib the day before my bfp as someone was selling it really reasonably second hand, and I really wanted this specific one, so ours has been ready for almost 9 months. So far I've kicked it twice and caught my little toe on it once since moving g it in the bedroom.

I keep looking at it and thinking I can't believe our baby is going to be in there within the next 4 weeks Shock

gunwalloe · 23/09/2014 06:47

Thanks for all the well wishes ladies.
Alarm clock didn't go of this morn so mad dash for shower and shave maybe a good thing as no time to think. Will probably be ten mins late typical! Couldn't get rings of tried every method fingers to puffy hopefully they can tape them. I will update when baby's here.

FrauEnglischLehrerin · 23/09/2014 07:04

Good luck today, gun and captain!

Kirstipops · 23/09/2014 07:07

Binky I love that you bought the crib only the day before your BFP, did you "just know" then? That's lovely :)
Fedup fingers crossed for you that the lightbox did the job and you're both back home soon :)
I wonder how Slide is getting on, if you're lurking but too busy to post, hope you're both doing well :)
Of all days for the alarm to mess up Gun! Tho as you say, probably a good distraction! Fingers crossed the savvy midwives know a clever way to work the rings off, my sister had to have her naval ring taped over for her c-section as they couldn't work it off hehe. Can't wait to hear news of of the c-section babies today!

kittyvet · 23/09/2014 07:15

Good luck C sectioners!
Hope mums and babies doing ok!
Welcome Kipper!
Another quiet day of maternity leave here- going to paint the hall as last job in the 'to do before baby arrives' list. Going on all your niggles I have ages to go yet as everything still relatively comfy!

ohthegoats · 23/09/2014 07:29

OMG - 4 hours sleep in a row. I almost feel drunk with it!

Good luck to c-sectioners today, hope things go smoothly and you don't have to wait around getting nervous for too long.

binkybunny · 23/09/2014 07:53

I think we did kirsti, I'd got a negative result the week before but had been so sick, off tea and coffee and knackered I think I could just tell, and we knew it was going to happen at some point so just decided to go for it!

fedupofrainydays · 23/09/2014 08:12

slide how are you lovely? How's Alexander? Hope you managed to get a side room

And cj are you ok? Hope the preeclampsia issue has been resolved

Good luck sectioners - hope the wait isn't too long so nerves have time to build up.

I've decided time in hospital is dangerous for the wallet. I've spent a fortune online shopping!! Even treated myself to a new nespresso machine as my birth present to self - know I'm going to need the caffeine to keep me going!

Rory is a week old today! Shame we are in hospital for it but never mind.
Rory is so small he doesn't really fit newborn clothes yet but not gone and bought any tiny baby stuff as surely will just be a couple of weeks of baggy babygros? He's spent at least 3 days of his life totally naked anyway under a light box. Machine currently off and waiting til 12 to see what levels are doing. Parked him next to the window to try and get more natural light too.

binkybunny · 23/09/2014 08:14

Fx for Rory and fedup I think you deserve a little shopping spree!

SummerDreams13 · 23/09/2014 08:24

Good luck sectioners - so exciting you get to meet your LOs today!! Hope everything goes well Grin

TroubleAndFyfe · 23/09/2014 08:25

Hi all, sorry to have been AWOL for so long, I found it so hard to keep up with this thread on a daily basis so gave up completely when the Facebook group was created but as we're nearing more babies arriving I wanted to stick my nose in and see how everyone's doing!
Welcome to the other babies who didn't fancy waiting around, I hope they're all doing well.
RIP baby Edith, utterly heartbreaking to see that on the list this morning.
My little girl is 3 weeks and 2 days old already, it's absolutely flying by. She is a swishy bundle of loveliness and has settled in here perfectly. I'm very excited about you all getting your babies - I forgot just how wonderful they are.
Oh, by the way, she was 8lb4, not 5, it doesn't really matter though, thanks for adding me to the list despite me not having been here for months, that was nice to see.

TroubleAndFyfe · 23/09/2014 08:26

Ooh, I've just seen there'll be babies today! Good luck! Smile

puppythedog · 23/09/2014 08:50

Any of your other halves a jittering wreck at times? I'm watching Billy Elliot and catching up after being away for a weekend. Seeing your post Trouble, and thinking about being 3 weeks into being a Dad whilst watching Billy's Dad struggling to do the right thing for his Son and I could cry Blush.
Not posted for a little bit, it's taken until now to catch up.
Congratulations to New Mums and Mums again.
Fedup, I hope it gets easier too, 'this too shall pass.
Now I've started posting I cannot remember the people I wanted to post to directly.
Well, I'm an emotional wreck, I realise it's maybe not normal for fella's to be so open about feelings and stuff but I think a mixture of 12 + years in mental health work and hanging around with you lovely people has taken it's toll.

Good luck today to those who are going to meet their little ones.

mrsb87 · 23/09/2014 09:41

Hehe puppy it's always interesting to hear what it's like from the other side! I know my dh is getting very anxious.l, especially whenever I ring him at work, first thing he says is "are you ok?!". I get the concerned looks every time I moan from getting up or braxton hicks like "you're not going into labour are you?!". bless him he is one of life's worriers!

ohthegoats · 23/09/2014 09:57

Bah.. only 4/5 engaged. How is that possible? I suppose they bounce in and out for a first, cos I feel so different since Sunday (by which I mean much better/comfortable). Position all good though. Still got to see obstetrician, where no doubt the fight to not be induced will begin. If this bugger isn't engaged then it ain't ready and I'd definitely prefer to wait.

Kirstipops · 23/09/2014 09:58

Ah what's "normal" anyway hehe, my DH has his moments too, one of the lovely things about him and prob what mrsthedog likes about you too :) Being drawn to working in mental health you must be a naturally empathetic person to start with, lord help you sharing this crazy experience with us lot Grin !
DH is mainly sweetly impatient at the mo, bit of stress going on in the background with his band as they are trying to get visas to do a gig over in the States, originally in July but has now had to be put back til end of October which isn't ideal as they'll likely be gone for a week but it's not an opportunity I'd let him pass up either, so the earlier baby arrives the more time we have the three of us before he goes. Drinks RLT laced with pineapple dipped in curry, sliding off gym ball as lubed up with Clary sage

puppythedog · 23/09/2014 10:00

on to other half

if you want it to work Wink

Kirstipops · 23/09/2014 10:01

Goats I'm v jealous of your wee one's engaging! Lots more walking and gym balling for me!

Kirstipops · 23/09/2014 10:02

Puppy ahahahaBlushAhahahah!

gunwalloe · 23/09/2014 10:13

Still waiting I think a emergency jumped in front. Blood sugars crashed so they've given me lucozade I hope I come out of the hypo before I go down.

ohthegoats · 23/09/2014 10:14

Kirsti, is yours still floating freely?

Grannyapple · 23/09/2014 10:18

Morning ladies...congrats mrscaptain & good luck to the ladies with c sections!

Knackered.com here today. Was up til midnight trying to get budgets finished for work...day off today but they had to be done for tonight. Awake at 4 for a loo trip & up at 6.40 when DD woke, shortly followed by DS. Having lots of cramping today which is alarming me slightly...haven't packed bags yet Blush & awaiting pool delivery on Friday when I'll be 37+1. 3 more days of work left...now feeling so ready for it but loads going on at work so need to dial in for a conference call on 2nd October to find out if my area is at possible risk of redundancy. That & stress with dealing with painters who are painting the exterior of our house is driving me insane!

Hope everyone had a good day x
