Just Shagging 12th Thread for graduated viroids

FurryScoob · 16/09/2014 16:51

Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 11th grads thread...celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed grin

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 27th outing.

There is also a Just Mumming thread in postnatal here once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a secret facebook group, if you want to join, ask in-thread.

So, roll call below please, viroids! smile

pis my 16 week appt was at 17+5 and my 20 week scan is at 21+5 as we're away the week before hehe, they don't seem at all concerned about them being a week late. After that I'll try and stick to proper appt times!

ness that all sounds perfectly sensible reasoning, just look at it as an extra scan for fun and giggles?

cookielove · 02/10/2014 12:28

So I am justshagging grad, grad! There is a thread but it is deader then dead.

ness I remember that impending feeling, around 8 months and then my baby came Shock

luna how did your scan go?

JuniDD · 02/10/2014 12:48

Hello! No news here, cheeky pis! Just been into my DP's office - all geeky guys. They were all a bit like "...you & him...did it. WEIRD". Grin. I have got quite the bump now.

Hope all is ok at the scan ness, hope it's just that he's engaged and ready to go! I feel like my bump is a bit smaller/not bigger and the baby is 3/5 engaged (which I think means she can feel 3/5 of the head? Another appt tomorrow).

Hope you're ok tabby and you start to feel better soon. I don't have anxiety but it can be really hard to stay positive all the time. The Pregnancy relaxation CD by Maggie Howell is really good for helping to relax & focus on the baby. Smile

cookie I reckon "Just Mumming" will be busy soon! Hope all's going ok with Elijah & you? Is he coming up to two months now...time flies!!

splodge77 · 02/10/2014 13:03

I'm a bit late to the sleeping bag conversation but they are great once baby is big enough. Can also recommend swaddling blankets for early days. they're a funny shape with Velcro bits so you can tightly wrap baby up like a sausage roll. Seems torturous to a grown up - like sleeping in a straitjacket! But It stopped DS hitting himself in the face with flaily arms & he slept much better.

gaggiagirl · 02/10/2014 19:18

Would anyone care to give me an EDD? Every site and app gives me a different one!
LMP 18/8, 25 day cycle, iced cd11 if that bit matters.
Im the only one in roll call with an enigmatic sleb style due date!

wilmabedrock · 02/10/2014 20:37

The NHS site says 22nd May Gaggia? Just pick a date, they'll probably change it at scan time anyway. Grin

Hope all is ok Ness. Don't think measuring is that accurate at this stage.

Hope scan went well Luna.

RPopz · 02/10/2014 21:04

I used the NHS site gaggia! - was fairly accurate but that's prob just luck haha! Got moved forward two days at the 12 week scan.

Hope the scan went well Luna

Hooray for bonus scans Ness Smile x

FurryScoob · 02/10/2014 22:34

Good luck with the extra scan ness surely if the midwife can't feel the head it must be low down, it can't fall out without you noticing!

Just been to last NCT class on my own, DP decided to ring me 45mins before it started to say he was 2 1/2 hours away in London. He doesn't understand why I'm pissed off with him! Angry so I've had a lovely session doing couple activities on my own Confused

Oh what a nightmare Scoob. Did he at least have a good excuse?

FurryScoob · 02/10/2014 23:04

He's a taxi driver, person he was picking up was delayed but unless he's started driving a car with a jet engine he never stood a chance of getting back in time. I've had a good chat with the cat & I'm feeling better now, wish I could take her as my birthing partner to keep me calm!

So we opened the box! I refused to look at the screen till the lady promised me there was a heart beat might have had a small melt down before going in after I remembered my 36 week scan with miniLuna, mrLuna all but had to march me in everything is fine, we have just the one and I've been put forward to 12+5 with a due date of 11th April. It's a bit of a giggle really as we got my cousins 'save the date' card through for their wedding pretty much the week we started trying for this bump and that's the date they told us to save! all be it for their wedding not a day in the hospital!!

The consultant was all full of action plan, and he's the same consultant we had last time (all be it slightly less hands on last time) so we'll know on 19th March whether they're going to let bump carry on cooking or start me on steroids in preparation for evicting bump. We've got extra scans at 28, 32 and 26 weeks, the midwife is seeing us for all the normal appointments plus the 1st baby appointments so she can keep a close eye too and my anaesthetic review will hopefully be scheduled for some time soon!

ness how many weeks are you now? If you're any more than 36 make sure your hospital bag is packed even if it's not in the car with you when you go for the scan because if they induce you and you haven't packed your bag I promise you, MrNess will fill it with nothing but paper knickers, muslin cloths and nappies (if MrLuna is anything to go by any way >.>)

cookielove · 03/10/2014 05:43

Yay luna

Nessalina · 03/10/2014 06:56

Oh good grief Luna, I hadn't even thought of that! Shock Were you induced at 36 weeks with MiniLuna? How come if you don't mind me asking?
I'm 36 weeks on Tues, which is the soonest the scan will be coz I'm visiting my folks til Mon...
I splurged on a rather pricey change bag yesterday (a Pacapod Napier!) so at least I have something to actually pack baby's stuff in now Grin
Really glad your scan went well! You must be on cloud 9 Smile Thanks

ZylaB · 03/10/2014 06:59

Glad the scan went well Luna :) xx

I won't be going to term either, we need a club!

Pisghetti · 03/10/2014 07:07

Excellent news Luna!

I forgot to take clothes to go home in when I went in with DS Blush he was induced so no excuses for being surprised! I asked his dad to get me some clothes (thinking leggings, loose top....) he came back with a pair of size 10 button up trousers and a little fluffy jumper Angry

Minion · 03/10/2014 07:15

Hahaa pis that's brilliant! At least you were looking chic? as you left eh?

Yes pack a bag ness, paper Knicks aren't so kind on post delivery bits I've heard. The husband keeps saying shall we pack the bag this week? I've got ten of the buggers left... Stop tempting fate!

He's dead excited tho, so I can't really blame him.

Anyone been watching don't drop the baby on bbc3? Cripes... Last nights couple were a bit ummm JK weren't they? And her mother? Jesus, just let the boy get a look in for once.

wilmabedrock · 03/10/2014 07:44

Haven't seen it Min. Mr Minion sounds v sweet. And a definite no to paper knickers!

That's so funny Pis, they are so clueless sometimes.

Look at you all with your early deliveries. Bet I'm the only bugger still pg two weeks after my due date. Envy

RPopz · 03/10/2014 08:02

Haha I'm sure I'll be right there with you Wil Grin We should start a full term club Wink

Not watched it Min - people keep telling me about it tho and it sounds horrendous!! Not good for the blood pressure!

Great news Luna Smile xx

Nessalina · 03/10/2014 08:09

I'm hoping to be in the 'full term but no more club' - can we have one of them?! Grin

wilmabedrock · 03/10/2014 08:27

Ah Ness that is the dream we're all aiming for. Ignore me, I'm just pessimistic after last time. My body seems not to offer a viable escape route for babies. Grin

TabbyTurmoil · 03/10/2014 08:30

luna great news. My edd is 9 April so I was about to suggest we had a race but it sounds like you're almost guaranteed to beat me. I fully expect this little wriggler to be two weeks late so sign me up for the full term club.

ness that's a fancy ass bag! I haven't started investigating the world of exciting purchase decisions - I'm seeing my sister tomorrow and she's got tons of stuff to offload so I think it will really be a question of what we want to get new.

pis Grin

Nessalina · 03/10/2014 08:49

We've been really lucky with lots of second hand clothes for baby, and PILs bought the buggy for us which was the big expense, so I'm letting myself splurge on the peripherals! Grin

Right viroids, I'm now starting to get faint stretch marks on the top of my bump!! This has gone far enough!!! Confused

Pisghetti · 03/10/2014 08:52

I wanna be in Ness's club.

Yeah I did shimmy out of the maternity unit looking like I was expecting the paparazzi..

Has anyone got anything exciting planned for today/weekend? I'm in work and on a deadline (so really shouldn't be on here.....). Might start making a baby paraphernalia list (not as exciting as making a baby) and roughly costing it out. Bought a Moses basket yesterday. It's sitting in the spare room freaking me out a bit! Heading out of town to meet some friends for lunch tomorrow which I'm really looking forward to Smile

laurenamium · 03/10/2014 08:53

Excellent news Luna. My MW said they only let parents go 1 week over now, is it just in my area? I was 15 days over with DD so I imagine ill be in the full term club too Smile

Nessalina · 03/10/2014 08:56

We made a big list at about 12 weeks of stuff we'd need, even if we weren't starting to buy yet - it made me chill out a lot more to have it all in one place. Though the cost aspect was a bit of a mystery!! Our credit card bill this month is frightening.
Right, I've threatened to do it for a while, but I'm posting a picture of my stretch marks!!! I need some sympathy GrinConfused
