Just Shagging 12th Thread for graduated viroids

FurryScoob · 16/09/2014 16:51

Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 11th grads thread...celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed grin

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 27th outing.

There is also a Just Mumming thread in postnatal here once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a secret facebook group, if you want to join, ask in-thread.

So, roll call below please, viroids! smile

Yeah I think I will tomorrow if not heard anything, thanks. Mind you with DS I booked in 3 times during pregnancy as kept changing my mind about where I wanted to have him! Mrs indecisive.

Pisghetti · 01/10/2014 14:05

Thanks Calli I'll give that a go.

I've been meaning to get a CO alarm since I moved in. I might steal one of DP's to see if there is an immediate issue.

teejayem · 01/10/2014 14:25

According to my App(s) my EDD is June 8th.

So do i just rock up to my GP now..? We've just moved so I need to register at one first.

Why is it I have an intricate understanding of female reproductive hormones and processes, and now I actually have to go and TELL a person, it is so much more daunting t get my head around!?

laurenamium · 01/10/2014 14:57

My ridiculous sense of smell is confusing my brain. Just walked the school run behind an older gent (60?) and he smelt AMAZING. My nose was saying he should be beautiful and my eyes and head were saying stop Grin I'm so confused! Hmm

ZylaB · 01/10/2014 16:24

Hehe lauren my sense of smell still rivals a dogs! We walked past the back door to a restaurant and the chef was inside preparing something, it smelt really really strong and I gagged..loudly... DH did say it was strong, but my sense of smell made it overpowering. The chef didn't look too impressed lol :)

tee I saw docs who referred me to midwife, if you're not sure how it works in your area, go and ask at your gps they'll sort it out. And it's ok to tell them, they'll believe you!!

Just had midwife appt and got to hear the heartbeat, awww :)

couldbeanyone · 01/10/2014 18:47

Ness my EDD is now April 30 (I guess could change again at 12 wk scan)

Splodge, also terrified at the thought of a second child Shock

wilmabedrock · 01/10/2014 19:39

Terrified isn't the right word but I think two will be pretty daunting and I fully expect to be a crying, distraught mess for at least 2 months. MiniWil doesn't do anything she's told so that'll be fun with a newborn added to the mix. Shock

Hi Tee, welcome and congratulations!

ZylaB · 01/10/2014 20:02

Those of you who have experience, or those without who have made a decision.... Sleeping bags or sheets and blankets?? I'm so confused!

JuniDD · 01/10/2014 20:06

Hahah, just realised I haven't got any sheets and only one blanket. Well, less hahaha, more SHIT.

I think they need to be a certain weight to go in a sleeping bag, 8lb? I've got one sleeping bag but baby likely to be too small at first. Better order some blankets! Yay for HB zyla.

ZylaB · 01/10/2014 20:13

Yeah, today I heart my baby's heartbeat and started what I suspect will be a long an intimate relationship.....with the gaviscon! Grin

littleluna89 · 01/10/2014 20:17

ZylaB we found sleeping bags to be awesome, Lex is terrible with blankets and tends to just end up wrapping them round her head...

Funily enough DH and I were just talking about them a little while ago, he was openly musing if they did adult ones and if so how you'd DTD in them, and started coming up with all sorts of zipped sections. I told him with my very straightest face that he was never getting sex ever again so he didn't need to worry and then went back to MN not that I'm cruel at all

Scan tomorrow at 9am! bricking it I don't want to go any more, I don't want to know, it's like Schrodinger's cat, at the moment things are simultaneously fine and not fine, and when we have the scan we'll have opened the box, and I'll have to deal with it either way...

When we were at our conference this weekend lots of people guessed. Had to avoid a couple of people who I absolutely can't risk finding out but one person openly said "You look lovely, have I missed some news" whilst eyeing my midsection! Didn't help that the other organisers kept telling me off for standing for too long or lifting anything heavier than a can of coke!

JuniDD · 01/10/2014 20:19

Don't suffer zyla! Get to the GP for some omeprazole if the gaviscon doesn't crack it.

I'm currently heartburn free as the bump has dropped.

Oooh, had my first "any news" text today. In fairness from friend who's not on FB or anything but it did make me laugh a bit.

ZylaB · 01/10/2014 20:23

Lol at mrluna and fx for scan!

It's not too bad so far juni but I suspect it's just the beginning, never suffered from heartburn or indigestion before, lucky me :)

wilmabedrock · 01/10/2014 20:26

Bless you Juni, sure it'll be the start of many more enquiries Grin . Keep calm and breathe (although not through your blocked up nose obvs).

We used cellular blankets until baby was big enough and then sleeping bags ever since. They're great. May get some warmer blankets this time as will be a winter baby.

JuniDD · 01/10/2014 20:27

Best of luck for tomorrow luna.

RPopz · 01/10/2014 21:02

Hope all goes well tomorrow Luna Smile Love your schrodingers cat description - that is exactly how i felt too! X

callipygian00 · 01/10/2014 21:34

Good luck for tomorrow Luna!

teejayem · 01/10/2014 21:38

Hope it all goes well tomorrow luna x

laurenamium · 01/10/2014 22:32

Good luck for tomorrow Luna Smile

Zyla DD was too small for bags at first so had blankets first, then moved into bags after. They were a life saver because she used to kick her blankets off!

Nessalina · 01/10/2014 23:03

Good luck tomorrow Luna! Smile Hope it all goes well!

Revised roll call below - we've got 5 viroids due between 28th April - 1st May!!

Went to a water birth seminar at the hospital this evening! Very interesting, mainly coz I wanted to know their policy on when you can and can't give birth in water, but essentially so long as we're 37-42 weeks, don't need inducing coz of waters going pre-labour, and baby doesn't get exited and poo too soon, then we're ok! lol. Fingers crossed anyway... Apparently they have about 15 water births a month which doesn't sound like many to me, especially when they have three pools, so really really hoping that we're one of the golden few!

Midwife tomorrow, taking along my birth plan Grin

Fx for a water baby ness Grin

Pisghetti · 02/10/2014 09:22

Fx Ness Smile

Any news Juni Grin ok I'm sorry.

Well I'm feeling motivated today! Just counted up how many Monday morning get ups I have left until mat leave - 19. I might make up a private calendar where I can mark off the days with big black crosses...

That's lovely Zyla! Hope I get the same next week (having my 16wk appt a week late due to work)

Nessalina · 02/10/2014 10:27

Just got back from midwife! Baby is measuring the same as he was two weeks ago, so I've got to go for a scan! Shock And she said she couldn't feel a head at the bottom, and couldn't tell if the big bump at the top was a head or a bum Confused So he might be breach.
To be honest, I'm pretty sure he's head down because of the weird head butting fanjo sensations. She did say he may have dropped into the pelvis, which means you can't feel the head, and that would also free up some bump space so might explain lack of expansion... Fingers crossed anyway! He's still squirming like billy-o so I'm not really worried about him!

Nessalina · 02/10/2014 10:28

That's a nice thought Pis! It only feels like yesterday I was counting months til mat leave, and now it's here! Grin

TabbyTurmoil · 02/10/2014 12:03

Hope everything went well this morning luna and the cat is out of the bag in a good way.

Fx for you ness , it does sound like there's probably a very reasonable explanation!

I'm 13 weeks today! Getting ready to flip the bird to the first trimester. I'm still struggling a little bit with anxiety (not about the baby, it's an ongoing problem I have) and trying to focus on the baby and how happy I am.
