Well despite all the goings on on my "oh sh*t" thread I know I'm not going to be terminating. So I figured I may as well start a club for June 2007! Don't suppose there's many (if any) others yet - I'm not even quite 4 weeks yet, and my EDD will be 5th June!!

NattyandThomasandBump · 09/10/2006 16:48

just frustrated i want to own my own machine!

trace2 · 09/10/2006 16:50

yes if you dont here anything gto a&e, just picking dh up from work ill be back on later tp join you in bed

rubyroo · 09/10/2006 17:25

natty i had bleeding with dd from 6weeks for a week and scan showed fine am thinkin of you hope all goes well at scan

steppemum · 09/10/2006 17:33

Natty, I had quite a lot of bleeding on and off with ds, and went for a scan at 6 weeks. It was a vaginal scan not a tummy scan (just to warn you, it was fine) and we could see the heartbeat, If you can see a good heartbeat then it is a pretty solid pregnancy, and bleeding is noting to worry about. it was SOO encouraging. Hope all goes well for you.

comebacksummer · 09/10/2006 17:56

oh buffy- i'm so sorry, what a dreadful thing to happen to you again. i wish you all the luck in the world for trying again if that's what you decide.
hi to everyone..hope you're all ok and that those who are worried get some positive signs and feel better soon.. what a nightmare this all is- we worry ourselves sick trying to get pregnant, then spend 9 months shitting ourselves too...amazing the human race continues imo...

alexh · 09/10/2006 19:14

Had an early scan today - dated at 5+4 and.........wait for it..........there are two............Fuckity fuck

No heartbeats or even yoke sacs yet.

another scan in 2 weeks time

Blimey.......

charlyp · 09/10/2006 19:19

Oh my god
double congratulations
now am seriously fretting about my scan - not for another 5 weeks (am 6+5)
does that run in the family?

trace2 · 09/10/2006 19:33

wow alexh are you pleased? how do you all get early scans?

alexh · 09/10/2006 20:41

I had an early scan because my consultant usually only takes multiple miscarriage patients. Luckily that is not me. It's an accident of history that I am with her.

Am I pleased? Trying not to treat it as a reality as at this stage the second sac can often have disappeared before the next scan (2 weeks time)

So ask em then - in shock now!

HRHQueenOfQuotes · 09/10/2006 20:47

wow - haven't been on for a few days - just seen your news Alexh! First possible twins in June hey!

I phone my doctors today (I'm 5+6) and was told (as I was when I had DS2) that "they usually do the booking in between 8 and 10 weeks - the midwife will call you to make an appointment".......oh and "which hospital do you want to use" (got two withing a similar distance).

Told her I didn't know yet - and the snotty nosed receptionist told me I HAD to decide so that they could get my scan sorted out and make sure I knew where I was having it (well actually I'm hoping for a home birth LOL). Opted for the one that I had DS2 at (for now) just so I can get my scan dates sorted. Now I'm jsut playing the waiting game.

megandsoph · 10/10/2006 10:05

Hi all hope. Thought I would see if there is any space on this thread Congrats everyone!!

Well EDD is 30/05/07 but if this wee one is anything like it's sisters it will enjoy the womb to much arrive 2 weeks late & make mummy have an induction again

Florentine · 10/10/2006 11:43

Hi there
Congratulations Alexh - on twins - very exciting if scary!

The spotting I had for 3 days last week stopped for 3 days but has resumed again today - making me very anxious everytime I go to the loo. I have decided as of today to stop charting my temp as it was making me very gittery - it has gone down slightly each of the past 3 days so that has made me worry a miscarriage is imminent. In many ways I would rather it just happened rather than be miserable for the days leading up to is knowing it is going to happen - best to be in ignorant bliss! Just really praying hard I keep this much wanted baby. I can't bear the thought of having to phone up scan to cancel it again etc. I wish I could just 'chill' more. I do find reading everyone's notes so helpful.

Does anyone think I need to see GP about this spotting or just wait and see. Am 5 weeks today.
Sticky dust to you all.

aquablue · 10/10/2006 12:00

hi guys - i'm 6+2, and went to see the ob today. Had a internal exam (actually not as erky as i thought it'd be). Confirmed that I am pregnant (always get those funny feelings maybe it's all a phantom pregnancy lol!) with one baby (i feel for you alexh, you must be in shock! but don't worry when the twins come, you wouldn't want it any other way!). Its so cute - little yolk sak and a nice strong heartbeat. But...he noticed there was a small fibroid - which is nothing to worry about unless it grows with the baby. AND there was some blood in the uterus which apparently is common but can be a risk of miscarriage - as the body may think its some foreign object and want to abort. Aggh! My first pregnancy with DS was all perfect, so DP and I are just in a bit of shock. Been told to rest a lot and not to lift DS (who's 16 months). Have to take progesterone tablets as well. I suddenly feel very fragile!!! But reading these notes here, it is common and ok. Anyone had something similar to this?

tigerpaws · 10/10/2006 13:36

Alex - congratulations. Hope all stays well with you.
Florentine and aquablue - must be a worrying time for you both. It's bad enough waiting to reach 12 weeks without any obvious cause for concern. Can't imagine how you must be feeling. i guess all you can do is try to think positive (hard I guess at times). I hope all stays well for you both.
Florentne- if I were you I would want to see GP. Don't know what they can do at this stage. Might be able to offer some reassurance?
I am 6 weeks tomorrow and still feeling ok apart from lethargy or it might just be pg is excuse to be lazy! Off for afternoon nap with dd

andi0411 · 10/10/2006 17:57

Hi everyone..

Natty how are you today? Did you go for a scan- so hope it went well..
Alexh...blimey..twins!! Congrats- am nervous for that myself as dp is an identical twin and in my last m/c there were 2 sacs....
6 weeks myself today and all seems ok...

andi0411 · 10/10/2006 17:59

And thanks daisybump for the info on sickness- i was getting worried but there's time yet and as you say not everyone gets it.
Good luck to you...hope this is the one!!

trace2 · 10/10/2006 19:52

n&t, am worried about you?

and hello to new comers,

this may sound silly, but i feel dirty no matter how many times i bath or shower! i now what ist is but dont make me feel cleaner, when i am pg my hair goes lank and greecy, and it makes me feel yuk

megandsoph · 10/10/2006 22:42

Oh Trace yep got the lanky manky hair too and hugggge spots YUK!!

Roll on the "blooming" months

NattyandThomasandBump · 10/10/2006 23:32

well its half 11 and still no news from hospital about scan. i was told they should ring today either with an appointment or to go straight in... but had nothing. so i am shitting myself silly, being home all day isnt helping as i dont have anything to take my mind off of it.

no more bleeding just the odd spot, which looks like old not fresh blood (IYKWIM) but really scared.

i hate living in croydon, would have got scan straight away if not living in this shitty borough. they also dont do nucal tests or early/dating scans because they cost to much money.

all in all i am really angry and upset and my internet has not been working all day long so havent been able to get on here.

grrrrr

megandsoph · 11/10/2006 07:55

OMG Natty that is terrible, I tell you they give you all this bollocks about staying stress free in early pg and then they do this.

No advice really hun apart from is there no one you can complain to, or could you not go to A&E or something surley they will scan you there??

So sorry for this your going through sweetheart.

trace2 · 11/10/2006 09:15

n&t so sorry , but where i live it is very simlar, when i had m/c in june told no point going to hospital as they would not do anything. but i knew it was m/c and stayed home.

but when i had jack at 8 weeks i flooded the bed in night, dh took me to a&e, they checked me gave me an internal and said my wonb was now closed so id lost him!, and was still bleeding very heavy, so they was giving me an d&c next morning, but i told them i wanted a scan first as i still felt pg.
they said id have to wait 3 days for one, and i did wait! soooo glad i did they saw the heart beat, and an empty sac so i was having twins, but if i didnt insit that morning, jack would not be here.

FreakyFloss · 11/10/2006 11:08
