Well despite all the goings on on my "oh sh*t" thread I know I'm not going to be terminating. So I figured I may as well start a club for June 2007! Don't suppose there's many (if any) others yet - I'm not even quite 4 weeks yet, and my EDD will be 5th June!!

OP posts:

thehairybabysmum · 17/10/2006 14:36

indeed, i shall ask v. nicely. I best sign off now and do some work, my lunchbreak finished ages ago!! Good luck for friday if i dont get back on before....

SmilingKiwi · 17/10/2006 14:39

We are bursting to tell, but DH and I are waiting till we call our folks in the weekend, also going to keep quiet for others till I am at least over the 2 month stage (don't think I could wait till 3 months!)
No doubt the referral Daisybump will give you great peace of mind, I too can have a tendency to be gluten intolerant and find brown rice really satisfying!
this is from a great website www.veggiepregnancy.com lots of interesting things whether you are a veggie or not...

'Is white rice healthier than brown rice???

Did you know that white rice has 10 times as much folic acid as brown rice?
1/2 cup cooked white rice has 46 micrograms of folic acid versus 4 micrograms in 1/2 cup of cooked brown rice.
Brown rice does however, have more fiber, so it?s best to eat brown and white rice to get the benefits from both.'
'Researchers found that 24 grams of fiber a day reduces your risk of developing preeclampsia by 51%.'

babymonster · 17/10/2006 14:41

thankyou. SIL has brought round every series of cutting it on dvd so gonna vegitate for the rest of the week on the settee watching them all. Have fun at the doctors on thursday.

sarahsausage · 17/10/2006 15:03

Thanks Smilingkiwi!

Have only told sister as yet as not counting on a good reaction from anyone else! I'm only 21 and have 2 dds. Was very to be pregnant, after an "accident" with a condom and failed morning after pill.

Just got back from taking dd1 to nursery.

45 minute walk there and 45 minute walk back, with a (nearly) 3yo and a 10 month old in a double pram. Luckily is downhill all the way there but coming home obviously is all uphill.

I'm not the fittest person in the world but i'm not particularly unfit either and had real problems trying to get up the hills, (yes hills, theres about 3). I haven't had a problem getting up them before even with both dds in the pram but today was awful. I wasn't out of breath, it was just like my legs wouldnt take me and also i felt like my insides were going to "drop out".

I remember feeling this when heavily pregnant with both dds but never so early on. Hope it passes as dd1 at nursery every day!

megandsoph · 17/10/2006 15:11

I wasn't going to tell my mother until the 3 mth period as I thought she would flip (scared of my mum at the age of 27 ) but I was getting my test confirmed in the chemist's when I recived a tap on the sholder and there standing behind me was my mother with a look of shock on her face lol so that plan went out of the window.

BM glad your ok hun and the bleedings stopped

mcclairy · 17/10/2006 15:31

SmilingKiwi · 17/10/2006 16:38

LOL SarahS at the hills!! Tired just thinking about you walking them! I bet your fitter than you think with two little ones already!!
Megs&S OMG what timing your Mum has to be in the pharmacy at the same time as you!!I can see how that plan went out the window...arent we all scared of our Mums?? HeeHee..
Welcome Mcclairy, and hope your feeling a little better.
Trust your taking it easy BabyMonster

megandsoph · 17/10/2006 18:57

Hiya Mclairy Congrats on your new bump & welcome!

SmilingKiwi hehe They are scarey indeed but only coz they love us. It was rather strange, my mum said she was in there to get my dads toothpaste and was supposed to of bought it the day before, I nipped home from work (miles away from my home) as it was a bit of a crazy and shocking time finding out I was PG, when I decided to get it confirmed. I think the fates decided it would be better to have my mums support now rather than later.

Has anyone heard from Floss?

sarahsausage · 17/10/2006 19:03

Well i just had to do it again, this time with both dds in the pram, took me forever and i got soaked .

Oh well, CSI is on tonight, that'll cheer me up!!

Mes&S - agree with smilingkiwi, we're all scared of our mums!! I am certainly scared of mine!!

Mcclairy - I'm just waiting for the morning sickness to kick in, which im sure it will, then i'm going to try the preggie pops. No idea if they'll work but it's worth a shot. I just hope i miss out on the heartburn this time......

megandsoph · 17/10/2006 19:32

Aww sarah not good get yaself a hot cuppa and wrap up watching your prog

mcclairy · 17/10/2006 20:21

hello sarahsausage, i thought my daily walks to school and nursery were bad but nothing compared to yours! you will be the fittest one of us all! you will be renamed arniesausage!
I must be seriously out of touch , but wht are preggie pops? are they some kind of lolly?

lemonstartree · 17/10/2006 22:35

OK so things not so great here.

I have beeen for a scan which showed precisely zilch. ( had a little bit of spotting and cant be exactly certain of LMP) Then had an HCG level which was 'very low'

However I still feel pregnant, sore boobs, waves of nausea etc, and had a pos preg test this afternoon.bleeding has completely stopped

according to the web, if I were only 4 weeks pregnant the HCG level might be very low........? and this is too early to see an gestational sac. ? Is there any chance this pregnancy might be ok ?

Guess I will have to wait and see.....

megandsoph · 17/10/2006 23:17

Hey lemonstartree I am sure it's four, five weeks when implantation bleeds can happen. There may be someone else who knows more about it but I know I have read about it alot recently.

Anyway I hope everything is ok.

megandsoph · 17/10/2006 23:19

The last post was RE the spotting LT

not to sure about hcg levels and things though.

Juicylucythe2nd · 18/10/2006 12:30

Lemonstree - implantation bleed would be about now if you're 4 weeks wouldn't it.

It is possible they wouldn't be able to see anything on a scan at this stage. I'd ask for another scan in 2 weeks to see what they can see then.

Rang the GP for my midwife appt last week and yesterday got a call back that I should go in and see the GP. When I got there she said she'd wanted to see me coz of my age . As a "high risk" pregnancy I get extra scans.

Makes it all abit scarier than it already is. Oh well, will just try to enjoy the extra scans and (hopefully) the reassurance they give.

Have decided to have the nuchal + bloods - anyone else decided what they're having (if anything)?

PocketTasha · 18/10/2006 12:54

hello, congratulations and good luuck to everyone here. I tested positive last saturday and just got round to logging in. Due on the 23rd of June. which makes me 4+4 weeks. Third time for me, ds1 is five on saturday and ds2 is twenty two months.

I guess i'm kind of hoping for a girl... would be nice, but another beautiful blue bundle would also be lovely. Are there many of us going for the third? or more?

lilKel · 18/10/2006 13:06

Hi all - morning sickness sucks! Where can you get preggie pops? I have been taking vitamin B6 (20mg, 3x day) and it def helps. I mean, I can eat, which is a huge step forward!!!

Nuchal scan for me too. I'm 33 in Feb which I guess isn't too ancient but nonetheless like to take adv of the science that's there.

On the hunt for a smallish car which'll fit a Bill&Ted double buggy in the boot. Citroen C3? Mazda 3? Any idea????

Courage & glue to all of you...xxxx

Ingalls · 18/10/2006 14:29

Hi all, can I join you? Got a BFP today and due 26th June, am just over 4 weeks pg. Very excited but nervous too as have mc in the past. Am in disguise for the time being until feeling more confident and have come out in RL. No real symptoms yet, although have been up in the night the last couple days for the loo which is unusual and also my dd has been off her milk for nearly the last fortnight - only feeding for a few mins then prefering beaker of water - have heard that your bm can change flavour due to pg hormones so after about a week was a bit sus as dd loves her milk usually. Was planning on testing friday but caved this afternoon. Dh over the moon. Looking fwd ot chatting with everyone over the next while all being well.

Daisybump · 18/10/2006 15:00

JuicyLucy

How old are you if that's not too impertinant?

Juicylucythe2nd · 18/10/2006 16:39

No - ask away. I have no secrets!

39 and will be 40 a week after my due date.

First baby so I think that's higher risk anyway.

NattyandThomasandBump · 18/10/2006 16:52

i am 7+5 weeks now, and nausea is getting silly now, is effecting everything i try to do, and with a 6 month old you really dont get to just throw up... your changing his bum at the smae time

ah thats better, its off my chest now. nice to see there are other mums on here with close age gaps. sarah i know what u mean. i have 2 flights of stairs to my flat to navigate with a pram and heavy thomas! exhastused and dizzy by the time i get up them!

hope everyone is keeping well, tom has been running me ragged so not really had time to nip on here.

love to all

N&T&B

NattyandThomasandBump · 18/10/2006 17:12

opps forgot to take into account the new scan dates. according to my scan i am 8 weeks today. the scan says i am 2 days more pregnant than i thought. however that now make due date may 30th! WE SHALL NOT, WE SHALL NOT BE MOVED!! i have joined this thread now for several weeks, and have built friendships up, so please can i stay, please please?

mcclairy · 18/10/2006 19:55

Hi pocketasha, congratulations to you, I am about 7+3 weeks and this is my third. My DS1 is 7 and DS2 is 3 so quite big gaps, so I'm hoping it won't be too much more work. I too would like a girl but not that badly, would be very happy with a boy too, as long as its healthy I don't really mind. What is really annoying me already though is that people automatically assume you would be really dissapointed with another boy and i'm betting that if thats what you have people will say 'oh another boy"!!!! sorry for the rant!

mcclairy · 18/10/2006 19:57

of course you have to stay natty, i am used to seeing you here

babymonster · 18/10/2006 20:13

Hi mcclairy. Hows the ms going? Hope your feeling better
